I was a Phx resident for over 20 years and the services in that city are outstanding. I knew it would be hard to beat their library services, which are gorgeous facilities and well stocked. With that said though, Glendale has a reciprocity agreement so now I can use both. YEAH! When I arrived at the 59th location I was treated well and greeted by a friendly librarian who signed me up and did a great job explaining everything. This is a smaller branch and not as large or well stocked as the Phx locations but the facilities are very nice. It will do just fine. What was really fun was on the way home driving out of the parking lot I got to stop for a Peacock crossing, I was like, "Waaaaaaaaaa?" Then I realized they were out walking from the nearby awesome park they live at. So fun and cool!!!! Weird to have to stop in a parking lot to let Peacocks cross living in Phoenix Arizona and all. lol - I hope when you are there you watch out for them. I keep thinking most people might not expect them and might hit them if they drive unsafe. I would go back to this branch just to see the Peacocks. Ha!

After in putting all information I kept getting an error to add all required info even though I had. So, we just go down. Arrived about 1:30 on a Tuesday and was surprised there were only 6 people in line. Before entering the line you must scan your drivers license via a kiosk. We stood in line about 10 minutes and were called by Duane I believe, might have been Dwight. Since I had printed out paperwork and filled out at home and had all required documents this was a seamless process. I think it took me longer to track down my marriage license than it took Mr. Duane to process our new travel licenses. Ladies, if you've changed your name after marriage take your marriage license. Even though years ago I had updated my social and dl it was required because my name now does not match my birth certificate. Duane was wonderful. Personable, efficient, happy. By 2:00 o'clock we were on our way home. But when we left there were about 30-40 people in line and the parking lot was jammed. My experience within the mvd office was five star but the hassle of the website trying to make an appointment, as others have stated made me take a star away.

Then, the payment system is down, so you get to sit down and wait while getting zero updates or assistance. I am writing this as I sit here and wait to pay for something the government requires me to have. I've been here for an hour and a half, and I suspect I will be here for quite a while longer.

Currently, this location has extended hours due to their heat relief program so they're open til 9pm. I'm not here for heat relief but appreciate that those not needing it can still benefit with the continued full services being offered. I drove 30 min here since they are the only location open. Overall, it's been comfortable, clean, quiet and a pleasant visit. The staff is kind and accommodating with great customer service and it's a spacious, amenity abundant location. I've been to near all Scottsdale and Phoenix public libraries so I'm in the know and this the spot to a go go go!
