Obviously, post offices are usually just plain bad service. I mean it's expected, but this post office is particularly bad - the geniusly schedule one clerk at lunch time - there is always a huge line I've never got out of there in less than an hour and the three things that I've sent from there 1 - did not reach the destination after I paid $22 priority one got returned to me and one never made it even though I paid a ridiculous amount of money to get it there within a certain time and the other one. Save yourself the trouble and go to Miramar Beach Fort Walton anywhere but Destin unless you have a few hours and don't care if it gets there or not read more

Destin post office....I will not go there anymore.... they are great people but everyone has their own idea of how they will send things, every one a different price. Very nice employee who helped me purchase postcard stamps. She put them on my postcards and assured me they would go out in that day's mail. They were going to different addresses within the country and over two weeks later none were ever delivered. Pretty sure they ended up in the garbage as soon as I left. read more

I ordered clothes online and waited just about 10 days for my package. on the day of delivery they marked my delivery as "vacant" so we went to the post office the same day to pick up the package. in which they told us to come back tomorrow to pick up the package. they didn't inform me that they marked my package to be sent back to the sender the same day it was delivered. so when my boyfriend went to go pick up the package they didn't say that they sent it back...they simply said "we don't have it". they also had us fill out forms to get a mailbox at our complex which is A MONTHS WAIT! extremely disorganized and the staff seems to be improperly trained. read more

Richard & Donny helped me with all of my mail 5 minutes before they closed on a Sunday. The sweetest people and I cannot thank them enough! They were so patient & didn't complain at all. Had smiles on their faces & were eager to help out! The male manager is also so very sweet. read more

This is the worst post office I have ever been to. No customer service, in fact, flat out rude. One of my packages was lost and the Manager had an attitude and mentality like "what do you expect me to do about it"... ummm offer solutions? Pretend to care even a little bit? I waited in the lobby for 15 minutes waiting for him to come talk to me and never showed. Called and he answered right away. I have been advised for 3 days in a row of a delivery that has not YET come. Counter service is also awful. They will not answer the damned phone. Terrible service. Terrible attitudes. If you can avoid it. DONT COME HERE. the office people who set up your packages to be shipped are the rudest people i have ever met. Specifically the girl with the really short haircut that looks like the wicked witch of the west. She was extreamly rude. i watched an older couple go up and of course they are a bit slower and she just seemed annoyed with them, they asked little questions like what was on the christmas stamps and she (with a huge attitude) said ELVES and kept rolling her eyes and smacking. My experience was about the same. it's my first time shipping a package and she made me feel stupid. after waiting in line with a box as big as me for 15 minutes i get up there and she rudely tells me i need to move to the side until i write the addresses i had on a paper on the box. i try to go up after the finishes the customer after me (he's getting his receipt as i walk up) and she tells me i need to move until she's finished. from then on it was just an uncomfortable and horrible experience. she was rude to everyone and needs to be fired. she is conceded and needs to be humbled. i was literally on the verge of tears. read more

Is this place a joke? There is a one guy, older, overweight who believes he is a supervisor. When we came to pick up our Amazon package he told me my package was send back because his post office is not a storage. When I talk to him that it is impossible, because my package arrived just today, he said he doesn't have time to talk to me and if I don't understand what he just said it is my problem AND HE SLAM THE WINDOW/DOORS in front of my face. I just can not believe it... I call general manager and he really apology for his behavior and even general manager said there is a lot of complains about this guy aka supervisor and the actions will be taken. After all I call Amazon to ask what should I do and they told me my package was lost or stolen and they will refund. I called again this guy to ask if he found my package and he said "I said bye bye to your package, and now I am saying bye bye to you" and he hang up on me. My question is: is this guy stable? Is he disable? I don't mind if he is but maybe they should change his position and put him somewhere with no contact to other people? read more

I have been going to this post office for the past 9 years. The staff always acts as if the customers are bothering them. Today I walked into the radio blasting in the back to the point where you had to yell at the only person working the front counter. The Mail is delivered to our location at 1100 HWY 98 E about 80% of the time and the out going mail is picked up about 60% of the time. This the worst Post Office I have seen in my 60 plus years. Something Destin should not be proud of. read more

This is my first time in the area staying for a month. I paid for premium 2 day priority mail forwarding service since my mail is critical. The service here is so terrible it will preclude me from future visits to the area. The mail takes 5 days (including weekend)-the line is always running out of the door with over 20 people seething while ONE unfriendly clerk slowly does business. The morale here seems to be at a very low ebb. Perhaps they are understaffed or something unusual has been going on the month I have been here. I say this because all the other post offices with which I have dealt are efficient and customer friendly. This one is definitely an exception I am sad to say. read more

There's normally only one woman at the counter, therefore always a line. It would be nice if they could have a self serve kiosk in the lobby, where you can weigh and print off your own postage label and mail. Also, it would be nice to have extended hours atleast one day a week, for those of us who work 8am-5pm. read more

I live near the area so I have used their service a lot of times when I want to send something in a cheaper way but the service here never gets better, the employees are never friendly and always frowning, they act like they are working for free or someone force them to work, they totally disregarded or forgot about customer service, the previous review is right, even supervisor is not that nice. I think they should re-evaluate their employees and hire new people who really want to serve people and earn money at the same time. All jobs can be tiring and frustrating at times but your attitude and how you handle situations say a lot about you. read more

I have been going in this post office for over a year, and if there was a cheaper option, i would do it in a heart beat. The employees here are awful and the supervisors are even worse. It is ALWAYS, not there problem when there is an issue, and it seems their tactic is to send you in circles until you get frustrated and just give up. I can say that the new post master seems like he is helpful, but i haven't had enough time to really tell yet. Friday, 03/25/2016. I just returned from the Post Office in Destin, FL. I have never been more unhappy with the customer service I received here. It is a shame that this is a Government office and they get the Government benefits. They NEED to train employees how to work with the customers. I had to send 2 boxes overseas, there was only one employee working. Her name is Elisabeth Brown, there was at least 10 people in line. I was next and I took my 2 boxes with the forms already filled to her. When she saw them she said that this is going to take too long and I have to wait until she helps the rest in the line. Why is it my fault that there was nobody else working there at 1.50 PM on a Friday?...I have been already waiting in line and filled the forms. I asked for the manager. He came and told her that she needs to help me next so she did. Ms. Elisabeth Brown had such a bad attitude, being very rude, impolite and unprofessional.... She took my first box and the form. ( she supposed to write down the total weight for the package, but she never did, and than give me the customer copy. For the second package she detached the form and throw the copies all over the desk and she was not able to find the right copy to give it to me. When I told her that I need that copy she said that she doesn't know where it is and I can look in the trash for it if I want it. At that point I asked to be helped by another employee. Ms. Elisabeth Brown said there is nobody else working there. I told her that in that case I will go to Fort Walton Beach to send my packages and I mentioned to her that I will fill a complain. She said "Good luck with that " and she said she will still be working there. I am speechless. I hope somebody will take action about Ms. Elisabeth Brown behavior and the manager. They CAN NOT BE GOVERMENT EMPLOEE. read more
