The United States Post office, what an excellent experience. I had to have a letter tracked for delivery and they helped me right out. They were to the point and took care of business in a flash! If any lines formed they were taken care of quickly. Overall you get what you pay for here, and everyone is easy to work with at this location. Yes I still need stamps for various things, and they do have a selection to pick from. So if you need stamps, or special delivery, this USPS spot is for you! read more

I've been in line for 20 minutes already and the lady has only helped 1 person and there's no one else to help. With a line almost to the door, this is pretty frustrating. My review is for the Passport Services. Southlake Post Office offers efficient processes for renewing or getting your passport...Easy, Easy, Easy! Not all post offices offer this service so it's nice to have a post office close by that can take care of passports. 1. Sign In. There are 2 lines. One for passports and one for regular post office customers. 2. Fill out the forms. If you have never had a passport you will need your original birth certificate and an additional ID with your pictures. For renewal all you need is your previous passport. They have 2 separate forms to fill out depending upon a renewal or new passport request. Be sure to fill out the correct form. 3. Need a picture. They do this too! You will need 2 2"x2" picture. Be sure not to smile, take off your glasses and make sure your hair doesn't cover your shoulders. Easy! For a fee~ 4. Want it faster! They do this too but it will cost you. Typical time to get your passport is 6 to 8 weeks. For $60 you can get it in about 4 weeks. It takes about 10 to 15 minutes per person so be prepared to wait. They do have benches for people to sit so that's nice. The process is efficient. read more

They have three lines available for mailing and also offer self service mailing items as well. They have mailing cards, wrapping paper, packaging tape and supplies for purchase. Made a passport appointment for my 8 year old here multiple times. Each time, the appointment was cancelled days after being confirmed. If people are making these appointments it is because of a NEED! Made an appointment at another facility and everything was great, even though the employee who helped me was working the front alone. I'm not sure why this post office has low ratings because we have lived here for five years now and have never had anything but great experiences. I've gone in the morning, afternoon and right before closing and always had great service. I've also gone during Christmas time to drop off packages and tons of Christmas cards and stood in lines that were long, but the staff all were kind and helpful still. Why does anyone use the post office anymore? Everytime a vendor sends us something via usps I cringe, because it's a coin toss as to whether it will be delivered to the correct address or if it will be delivered at. They're completely incompetent! They mark stuff as "Delivered" when the item is still in the carriers car and then isn't delivered until 3 days later. Rediculous. read more

this post office cost me an additional $12.00 in postage because she insisted that ANY padded envelope was considered a package, she wouldn't call a supervisor and wouldn't measure the package in the special slots...exact same envelopes mailed today for $1.15 each vs $3.70 she charged me... Convenient location tucked behind the shops of Southlake Town Square. Seems the service counter was small and understaffed and the line long. No big deal, I usually use the self-service machine. Yikes, there's a line there too, and there's only one self-service machine. For a post office serving such a large area, you'd think there would be at least two self-service machines. I patiently waited my turn as the people in front of me, one by one, struggled with the "complexity" of the machine. What are you mailing? Does it have any of the items in this long list? What's the zip? Are you using any of these post office provided mailing materials? Will the big postage sticker fit on the front? Insert payment... Is there anything else I can you with? Argh, the questions aren't that hard people, let's move along. Finally mailed my package (large envelope not rigid, no, 23314, no, yes, done, no... Simple.). Post Office at Southlake Town Square, The worst customer service in the history of customer service. I would give this office negative stars if possible. We had a truck run over our brick mail box and destroy it. My wife went the next day and told the post office what happen and ask to hold our mail. She also explained that our box was not on the street of our address and when we have it rebuilt we'd like to move it around the corner to match our actual address. She left our contact info and was told that they would need to come out and look before they could approve the new location and someone would be I touch in a few days. A week went by and crickets. I called this post office the next 3 mornings and was told someone would be out that day and would call when they got there. Crickets all 3 days, not even a courtesy call of "we're to busy, maybe tomorrow." The forth day I went to this post office to get my mail and talk to the supervisor but was told he was to busy to see me and would have to call me if and when he got time. The supervisor did call me back but said he would not approve the new location. After a few minutes of back and forth he agreed to involve the postmaster to get his opinion and he'd call me back that day or next at the latest. On day 3 of not receiving his phone call I called him numerous times to finally get him to answer only to be told he'd still be unable to approve our new location because it would add extra time to his carrier's route and it would be a hazard to his carrier because he'd have to back up or turn around after dropping our mail. I guess even though the post office can deliver the mail in rain, sleet, snow and darkness they draw the line at backing up or turning around. Even though 100 yards up the street that's exactly what they do to deliver our neighbors mail, that's where we got the idea to relocate our box. Incredibly rude and lazy staff. Waited in line and finally spoke to a guy who said I'd have to ask his colleague if she could fit me in for passports. I said can you ask her? He said no, just hang out "over there to ask her". I wait near her. She's the slowest employee of all time and is taking forever helping someone. Meanwhile I have a toddler and baby with me, waiting for a simple yes or no answer. I finally politely interrupt her to ask, "I'm sorry - just quick question, are you able to take a passport app today?" Doesn't even look up and says no. I tell her next time get your coworkers in sync - why did I have to wait around and he couldn't ask you? The Southlake Post Office NEVER answers their telephone, making it impossible to resolve mail delivery issues. A 2018 Midterm Election Ballot mailed October 5, 2018 from the Tarrant County Election Office has mysteriously disappeared, and thus, NEVER delivered. Whether sloppy delivery to the wrong recipient & address, interception for purpose of voter suppression, or worse yet, Voter Fraud using someone else's ballot & identity to illegally vote....all are possibilities. One thing is for sure, I will make sure every government office, Federal, state, and local, is made aware of this most recent serious mail delivery irregularity. read more

Negative experience, if I could rate it. The guy at the front counter was so rude yesterday. I asked for help to find out how much a parcel with Humanitarian Aid (children cloth) to Ukraine would cost. But he didn't help to calculate the cost of postage. He kept sending me to the stage with FLAT priority mail boxes. I asked him again that I need to send a PARSEL. And I asked him : "PLEASE check about a 20 pound parcel to Ukraine". And he never did that!!!! He said over and over that it was not possible to send a parcel to Ukraine. But that is not true!!! My friends sent the parcels with humanitarian aid to Ukraine through USPS... I said that to him. At that time nobody was in the store, no one customer. I speak English with an accent since English is my FOURTH language, after Ukrainian, Russian, Crimean. Since he was such ignorant and disrespectful to me, I assumed that he was disrespectful to me because of my English. And he left the front counter... When a manager/supervisor came out, I asked the name of this guy who was such disrespectful. But the manager didn't give me his name. The point of going into the post office is to get help. They need to treat this place like a place of business and teach customer service. Also if you hate your job, leave... don't poison other people's day!!! read more

Let me tell you a story...... If you're coming here for passport renewals..... DON'T! The staff is slow, they DO NOT have designated passport personnel, just a lady that works you in between postal clients. An hour I waited with only 2 ppl ahead of me when I got there. I called ahead to make sure I had everything I needed, was told my son who is renewing at age 17 didn't need to be me to renew his passport, just needed all his paperwork, then I get there, wait an hour just to be told that I would have to come back with my son. Employees at the Southlake Town Square post office are polite, helpful, and very professional. My problem lies here in.. since I started receiving mail delivery to my unit over a year ago. I got so many bills, commercial mailings, etc... for prior residents who lived here prior to my moving in. I have dropped items off, bagged things, bundled things, written notes on them and left them in the mailbox for the mailman to return with written request to deliver mail to only (my name) please. Yet they continue to come, regardless. I spent time away recently. When I returned there was a note in the mailbox stating that the mailbox was too full, the post office had my mail and they would be returning everything to senders in 10 days!!!! Really? There's always more of everyone else's mail than mine in it and I can't get them to stop delivering it, but they will stop delivering mine because my mailbox is too full? Important mail from social security was evidently returned. Completely frustrated for a solution, I finally called to lodge a formal complaint with the postmaster general. I do hope I get MY mail soon. I finally got some Monday from social security... But it was for someone else! Frustrated doesn't quite cover it! read more

This Post Office was the fourth to visit in one day. I have used many post offices, and this was by far The best that I have been to visit in a number of years. We were trying to get passports during the holidays. This allowed us to observe the staff under extreme duress.we had an issue, but we were quickly directed how to correct it, and provided options to how to rectify to acquire our passports as quickly as possible. Many people were turned away, but they were handled professionally. I would recommend anyone to visit this site if they need assistance with any service the Postal Service has to offer. read more

The only way to experience worse customer service is to call the US Post Office's automated telephone service! The office is understaffed. There is no manager on site to whom issues can be escalated. The bad manners of the employees at the desk are exceeded only by their bad manners! These folks are there to punch a clock - and nothing more, giving good public employees a bad reputation. They couldn't care less about resolving my issue or the issues of customers in front of me in line. Service was so bad I wondered if the employees were accepting bribes from FedEx or UPS to sabotage the USPS - since no customer service should ever be this bad! I only came in to the physical location because I couldn't resolve my issue on the automated system yesterday; needless to say my issue wasn't resolved. I'll avoid USPS as much as possible in the future. I look forward to seeing the organization become insolvent and privatized as their business flees their abysmal toxic customer service! read more

My experience with this post office was horrible. Not only has their phone been out of service, their customer service is outdated too! I went in to renew my and my daughter's passports after attempting to reach them over the phone so that I could take any documents needed. When I get there, the attendant assumes we're getting our passports for the first time and asks us to submit documents. I explain I didn't have any documents ready, such as the application, because I called numerous times during the last week and their phone line was disconnected. She then went to the back and said there's a mama and two girls here to get their passport done. Didn't hear the other party's response. The attendant came back and said well you need both parents here. I asked her, "even if it's a renewal?" She didn't have the answer so she goes back again to confirm. She then comes and tells me yes, because they are minors. I said that's fine. I'll have my husband come down. The other clerk that was in the back finally comes to the front desk and she tells me that I'd need to go have our pictures taken because their camera is down. I tell her that all this was becoming very frustrating considering the fact that I called numerous times to find this information all out. She gives me a blank stare and doesn't apologize for the inconvenience. Instead, proceeds to tell me that I can go get the pictures taken at CVS but that even at that they could only process one application! It was non-sense. Talk about pure laziness. I was there at 10AM trying to accomplish this and she tells me she can only process one application!!! I tell both of them how frustrating this experience was and that they really need to fix their phone line. If you want efficiency, competence and just a reasonable customer service experience, please save yourself the frustration and avoid this lazy place! read more

This was a great place when I was in Maintenance there. The employees are truly caring workers however they are governed by mis management most times. The employees work very hard and most of them have been there over 10 years. Don't blame the Clerks for being tired and slow when there are not enough work hours allowed by the District to allow the Supervisors to man the counters to get the job done.
