Was expecting a package on 4/19/25. Driver said delivery location wasn't accessible, never had an issue until today, i think he was covering his own butt and never had the package to begin with. Is it weird to write a Yelp review for a post office? Probably. But did I also receive such great customer service that I felt the need to share? Yep. I had to mail a couple of packages and, my god, postage is getting expensive. I shipped a care package out to a friend and the price was almost double what I expected, but the nice woman at the counter helped me identify some cheaper options because she could probably tell by the look on my face that I did not want to spend $23 to ship a box with stuff worth half that. Was reminded to post this when I saw a review that is nearly the exact same as our experience. We have lived here for five months and every day we receive mail from any number of the six people who they crammed into this house at one time. Every day we write "does not live here!" And return it. Since it isn't just one or two people it is a lot of mail too. Interestingly enough pieces of my mail haven't made it to me (despite me changing address through post office). I've also tried to call to complain. However no one ever answers. For the last five months. I waited in line for an hour to tell someone this was happening and when I explained the situation the rude woman sent me to get in line for another person. After another 20 minutes of waiting I left because I had an appointment I couldn't miss. Mail carrier broke our mailbox by shoving so many pieces of mail and packages inside. The person also took a package and crumpled it up to fit it inside with the other mail. Also received an envelope that had been submerged in water! No joke. Might I note we wouldn't have so much mail if they would stop delivering the former owners' and her many occupants' mail to us. read more

The Stafford post office is the worst service in have ever received of all the places I've lived. I routinely get mail delivered to my box intended for my neighbors... on a different street. I imagine my mail has also been missing delivered... only others don't redeliver much mail to me as i do for them. Recently, they LOST a tracked piece of mail to be delivered to me. My postal carrier Shelly is friendly and responsible and I always know my packages are in good hands. I order a lot of items and they arrive on time and in good shape. I also am constantly shipping packages because I sell items online and never worry that they will go missing or get damaged when carried by her. I live in a apartment I am retired home almost all day no one never knocked on our door to let us know we had something, UPS knocks on our door and we get our package from them. December I lost two packages and January one. More likely than not, this review will fall on death's ear. I am going to share an experience I just had at the Aquia Post Office (PO). For starters, this was probably the WORST customer service experience I have ever had in my thousands of businesses dealing with USPS. Here's what occurred: I took my granddaughter to the PO so she could mail her room key and mailbox key to her college, Yea, this seemed to be a straightforward task. Oh no, was I so wrong. Initially, we used a regular envelope (which we acquired there) and inserted a small piece of a cardboard box so the keys could be secured to the cardboard box. Pretty easy - at least up to this point. My granddaughter inked the 'appropriate 'From' and 'To' mailing information, but she did not seal the envelope because we wanted to 'tape' the keys so they would not wiggle inside the envelope. Next, we proceeded to the PO clerk window (I believe the person's name is Desiree). I asked for a 'tiny' piece of tape to secure the keys. I was informed I could only use the tape for the material sent priority mail, or I could place the regular envelope in a box. I restated; we only needed a tiny piece of tape. Rather than give us a tiny bit of tape, the customer service person reiterated, and in a rather rapid fashion, what she had already told me about using a priority envelope or a box. I explained it would be an overkill to send two small keys via priority mail. I reiterated that I did not want the keys to wiggle around in the envelope. She WON; I gave up, and sealed the envelope, and shared I understood that this is just 'Post Office' thinking. On several fronts, this is alarming. For example, this 'customer service' representative displayed no empathy nor attempted to listen to the 'voice of the customer.' On the contrary, she showed no emotions and appeared robotic in her responses. Now, as customers, we wonder why:the USPS is losing money,the rating for this PO branch/office is so low, andthe worker in this PO branch/office displayed her common sense. Could it be that they are not empowered to think? Sadly, my 19 y/o granddaughter had to witness this business transaction personally.  As I left the PO, I begged my granddaughter never to become a post office worker. Again - I don't expect anything to be done. Why? This type of infraction is allowed in the Aquia Post Office culture. Management does not care about perfecting the culture or training their staff on proper customer service. read more

Very friendly staff. Since moving here mail has always been prompt and accurate. I've only had one issue due to the sender not putting my actual name on the package in which they held the package until I came in to claim it. It does get busy from time to time but lines move swiftly. read more

He said maybe it got delivered in the other street. He goes and checks for me. Then he couldn't find it. He calls his supervisor and puts it on speaker and at first the bitch says, that it was delivered in my mailbox. Then she said it was left on my front porch. I HAVE CAMERAS. I showed the damn mailman my cameras and how NOT A SOUL came to my door. I submitted a request online and they basically said if i don't see it in two days reach out to Amazon. Amazon says reach out to USPS because they fucking delivered it. JUST LIARS LIARS LIARS THEY WILL NOT DELIVER YOUR PACKAGE OR STEAL IT AND BLAME YOU. SO MANY TIMES NEIGHBORS PACKAGES WERE ON MY PORCH OR MINE ON THEIRS. They are INCOMPETENT, RUDE, NEVER ANSWER THE PHONE. Just all around disgusting. I told Amazon don't EVER ship my package through USPS again. Use Amazon, fucking FedEx or UPS cause USPS is TRASH! read more

Thought this place was getting better - for awhile it did but when I posted about USPS delivering the mail for UPS at my apt., building, didn't sit too well and so again welcome to the mail crumbled into pieces in the mail box and the USPS man and UPS man having fits for being outed. Like all these types, when caught doing the wrong thing, they take it out on the victim. They just want to make their job easier and - its your fault, not theirs especially if you complain and I will until they again do something about these incredible creepy people. DO NOT GO HERE!!!!! I paid $65 for a package and it was expected to arrive 8/31. All of a sudden, as soon as it was transferred to this post office, it was gone. Vanished. Tried calling and got NO answer, and based on other reviews, I am not the only one who has had this issue. The point of this review is to warn you NOT to get anything shipped to or from here...because you will NEVER see it again. I am giving this post office a single star only for the reason that there are no negative stars. This is the single WORST post office that I have ever had to deal with. The lack of customer service and basic professionalism is so dreadful that it is difficult to describe in words. I'm not sure in what parallel reality Mike E. received good service, but I think by the end of this you will see the rationale for my grievance. -When I moved to Stafford, my builder had sent the diagrams for the cluster boxes to the post office to have the master key installed. The post office didn't bother to key the boxes for over a month. Afterwards, they labeled the boxes differently from what the builder had designated and were delivering mail for the same address to two separate boxes. When their error was pointed out to them, it took no less that 4 emails/phone calls for to get them to "acknowledge" their mistake and resolve it. At no time did they express any concern that I had not been receiving my mail (including bills). - While waiting for the cluster box to be keyed, I went to the post office to pick up my mail. At some times, the staff was able to locate my mail and other times they were not - depending upon the person who was sent to look. - While the post office was taking its time to resolve the mislabeled boxes, I asked the postal carrier which box she was putting my mail. She was rude and responded that she could not give me a key or hand me mail out of the box (neither of which was requested). It was very clear that she did not care where she was delivering my mail as long as it was out of her hands. - After receiving mail in my box, I've had the unfortunate pattern where AT LEAST ONE of my bills EVERY MONTH has not been delivered. As a result, I've had to get use to overpaying my bills to cover the difference or paying late fees for missed payments for bills not received. - On at least two occasions, I've tracked my packages online to see a notice that its been delivered to my address while I have not actually received the package until much later. Needless to say I am hoping that consumer affairs will step in to address the repeated issues. If you're reading this and have also had issues with the Stafford Post Office, please report it using the contact us feature on the USPS website. I have a feeling that this isn't going to get any better until enough people report issues that some higher level of bureaucracy is finally compelled to step in. read more

Carrier delivered my package to the wrong address. The person who got my package stole most of my items out of my package and delivered my package to my mailbox with only two items in there. Just horrible!! The carriers need to pay attention and stop being lazy. 35 years living across the country in the military and have always touted the fast, efficient, and competent service provided by the USPS. Dad was career post office worker. Recently, our regular mailman left and the replacement has misplaced mail consistently. I anxiously waited two months for a package delivered from overseas. I just received notice from seller that package was returned citing "undeliverable". Registration number indicates package arrived all the way to Stafford, VA post office before being routed back. I've been going here for a few years and it has improved only slightly, but not enough. The staff is a little more friendly, don't go during their busiest hours or they'll seem mean. They are taking means to clean the grime off the floors and improve security. However, I don't understand the previous staff. One would say that if I didn't pay my box payment within x-days that it would be locked, despite the fact that I bought it for a YEAR, paid it in January and it was only February. I didn't receive one a notice. So the day comes, it gets locked, and then I just pay it at the front anyway. Also with my other lock box they THREW THE MAIL AWAY. So wth was with all that drama? Also they KNOW how to lock my box, but they can't stop delivering my EX's mail there? Yeah right. To a certain extent I think that bit is personal. I've come in on multiple occasions to tell them to stop putting my former fiancés mail in the box and they still do it. Another irritation is that I was asked to show ID for packages that were in my name and when I had already been receiving mail from that PO BOX for more then 6 years now. I received mail at this PO BOX before it was even at the Stafford location and at Brooke. Another time a tall lad, WHO DOESN"T WORK THERE, was at the counter. He was the only one in the line who wasn't helping someone. So I asked him to get my packages for me. He returns and all of them are soaking wet and smell like sewer water. In all honesty I think he took so long because he was in the back crapping all over them. Hey, he's a big guy. I bet he took a few x-lax and just let loose a few years of Hot pockets all over it. Either way he says some 'makeup' busted. A) no makeup smells like SHIT. B) none of the boxes states they had makeup in them on the outside customs slip. They've cost me a ton of money, let whoever walk in and STEAL MY MAIL, and been harassed there for being fat multiple times, yet almost ALL OF THE PEOPLE WHO WORK THERE ARE. ROT! read more

This present location has lost my package. They delivered to a wrong address. It was for my wedding. Very disappointing.

We've lived in the area for five months, and since moving in, the postal carrier has continued delivering mail addressed to previous owners to us, in spite of numerous attempts on my part to let them know those individuals no longer lived at our address. Several times, I brought mail addressed to previous owners back to the post office counter, which I'd clearly marked "return to sender" and explained the situation, only to have it re delivered to our address days later. Furthermore, I had a letter I needed to mail internationally in person, and battled my way through traffic to arrive before they closed. I walked up at 4:59, just as the postal worker was walking up to lock the door. She saw me and literally locked the door in my face while I was reaching for the handle. I've lived all over the United States (and furthermore, I dont usually leave reviews on places like post offices) but this one is truly one of the worst I've ever tried to work with. Be careful, we've had more than a couple of negative situations. Package addressed to MD lost and inspite of tracking number could never locate it. Very recently more than one piece of mail returned to sender (in one case missing it's contents) even though we're at the current address close to two years. Important incoming mail from 3 reliable senders never received even though the senders have confirmed more than once that the mail was sent. At 22554 the new person covering mail along Eustace Rd continually bundles mail for several addresses and puts them all in one person's box. The previous carrier rarely if ever made any mistakes. Very undependable delivery service along Eustace road corridor. read more
