I took off work they said they tried to deliver no one was there to receive they left a note on the ground, I made sure to be there the entire day. 2 of us were and we have two dogs that bark if anyone touches the front door. There isn't much to say about the post office other than they got rid of that little slot with the handles where you can dump your small package but now they have a little kiosk with a sign that the post office employee standing there can take you package. That was nice, I guess, haven't experienced that before but my package already had the postage on it so I just left. The post office is always clean and fairly empty unless you go to where your package/mail needs special delivery. Parking is also cleared and close to the front door. I just moved to my new home a month ago and I have been back and fourth to the post office to get my keys for the mail box and no one seems to know how to assist me. They are holding my keys hostage at this post office and I was not able to receive non of my mail for two weeks now. Ti tried going up there again yesterday and they did not have electricity so put signs up saying they were temporarily closed. I along with other people within this community still tried to get assistance from the rude, loud, employees from this post office while I knocked on the door multiple times with no response as the employees laughed and played in the back. The good ol' post office that's notoriously depicted poorly like the DPS. I've been coming to this post office since I was a teen, and I've never had any issues. In fact, this facility has improved so it goes to show that with time everything can improve, and that was the case for this particular location. Presently, this location does offer passport services. If you're applying for a passport, you need to complete the online form(s) and arrange an appointment with the post office. Now, if the passport needs to be renewed just go further inside and the cashier can assist you with shipping it off safely and any other services you inquire about. read more

The times I've come here I've had good experiences. The staff helped me with shipping items correctly without the huffing & puffing that seems to be USPS standards. Its kind of tucked away & IMO because of the "area" it doesn't get as hectic. Which is just fine by me, less people means faster service! I've been able to get out of there at a good pace the times I've visited. They provide passport services via appointment. Is it the best USPS location in the entire city? These people have such a stinky attitude! They couldn't deliver a package from Amazon because it required a signature but yet they leave all other packages no problem! So I arranged to go pick up the package and they sent me a confirmation number via email and when I showed it to the girl, she said that's not our tracking number (well duh!) I have not been receiving my medical prescriptions lately. The address is correct as I have confirm with the pharmacy and I never had any problems in the past. The problem is with the delivery person. Insufficient address is the only thing it says in the tracking number. Why is the person not delivering my prescriptions? I tried to do a claim and website said error, I called and that never answered for customer service. Horrible service, I understand you may not "like your job" (because you sure do act like you don't like it) but goodness do NOT take it out on your customers. i was told my package was there and that i could pick it up the next day. when the next day came, i called to confirm it was there. when i arrived, they said they couldn't find it after waiting 30 minutes after being told they had eyes on it over the phone. i was then told come at 12pm because the "supervisor i spoke to comes then". once i did, they claimed no one ever spoke to me or said they had the package or seen it. they lied and i'm sure stole it if it's not really "missing". all supervisors and phone spokespeople had terrible customer service and nasty attitudes. read more

Online they don't specify that you need copies front and back of ID, and of the birth certificate, online said I would pay $80 for mine and my son and I ended up paying $116 (child) for his and $147 for mine. Worst customer service experience in a long time. Where to start? I came to pick up a package that they had failed to deliver, intentionally misplacing it in the backroom only so they could charge me an extra 4 dollars. This was made clear to me by the way they were hollering laughing the whole time I was waiting. They finally found it after about 35 minutes, but not before forcing me in the back of the 15 person deep line(which was rudely told to me btw right after initially saying that I could hop upfront) so all in all I had to spend practically an hour here because some schmuck couldn't do their simple job properly. I went to drop off some mail that needed to be sent off. I was in and out within 5 minutes! Before I even entered there was someone outside who greeted me warmly and asked if they could help instead of me going to the counter. I told her that my mail needed to be weighed so I had to go inside. Once inside, Hope, helped me. She was extremely courteous and polite. This is by far the worst post office in Houston! I am extremely disappointed! being a customer for 30+ years with this place and I've seen what it use to be compared to now. For 30+ years I've gone in here to pickup certified mail receipts. The past couple years I've been told I can't have any that I have to order them online. When the women at the desk is standing there with a whole stack in her hand. She told me I was only allowed to have 3 of them. I told her I'm sending out a stack of certified letters and needed more she told me NO! This is a FREE DOCUMENT!! "Dee" is the worst representation of a USPS worker! There is not ONE time Ive stopped by this branch where I do not see her be extremely rude to every single customer. There may be a line out the door but she always throws a sign up for "next window" to avoid work and stand there talking to other employees then makes rude remarks to customers in line. Today was the final straw as there was one person in front of me and when they left she put up the sign and left to the back. No one was at the counter and she reluctantly came up when a coworker called her asking what she was doing. She then had the nerves to tell me that I cannot wait in line to receive an acceptance receipt for my records. She gave me a speech about how I'm taking advantage of their free supplies, getting a discount by using my account online, and not supposed to wait in line and make them do additional work. She told me I can't do this and need to drop off my packages and not hold up the line for that. Long: Time sensitive envelope being sent 2 my old address, kept in sender's file as my permanent. Been waiting 4 this document 4 over a year, & now it's finally coming thru. Pink slip (PS) left, I go 2 Post office (PO), over hour drive from home, 2 pick it up. They can't find it. This was Mon 2/8/16. They make copy of it, take my #, & offer 2 call once they find it. Evening came & no call (not even 2 say they outright couldn't find it), so I scheduled a redelivery 4 Wed. Left instructions 2 leave @ door, as 'presence required' box wasn't checked. This wasn't honored, & attempted 2 B delivered a DAY EARLY, when I wouldn't B available 2 wait 4 the mail courier 2 get it myself. According 2 tracking info, it was bck @ the PO now. I proceed 2day, Wed, 2 the PO around 1pm. The "temporarily closed" sign is on the pickup window, so I follow their instructions & wait in the regular line 4 about 15-20mins 4 my turn. Taking 2 long 2 find it & holding up the line, (which is already frustr@ing me because I h@e 2 B th@ person, but I shouldn't B in this line 2 begin with), they open their quick window & tell me 2 go wait over by it. Then a flood of other people come needing their stuff found. They had 1 postal person h&ling them & dedic@ed another individual 2 solely finding my envelope. This gentleman says he chckd all the 4th & 5th, & @ th@ moment I realized they had it sorted according 2 d@es. Since I had it redlvrd, it would B under the 9th or 10th! I let him know 2 check those d@es. He disappears & somehow my PS ends up with lady helping others. Being as p@ient as I can, I played on my ph1 2 pass time. But others weren't getting a good experience as well. They rung their bell numerous times & when 1 woman went 2 go check from the counter 2 C wh@ they were doing, the lady th@'s supposed 2 B helping the folks in line was just bck there laughing & talking gossip with her coworker. I'm all 4 being happy & having a good time @ work, if it isn't hindering work being done. The same woman who checked on them, who then got in2 it with them 4 the way they were tre@ing all of us, asked REPE@EDLY 4 their supervisor but they completely ignored our requests & just laughed it away. I have Cn 18 year olds in RETAIL, another beast, with a far superior @titude & level of respect th@ these older, "m@ure" females couldn't m@ch. I knew this was complic@ed & a long shot, however I was the 1 throwing ideas @ them 2 help the situ@ion when it should've been them as they supposedly have the inside knowledge on how things work there, something an outsider as myself wouldn't know. She asks the other woman in there, & she suggests it's probably on the truck getting delivered again. I try 2 show them the tracking info on my ph1, which she refused 2 look @, th@ st@ed it was there. They assumed because I scheduled it 4 2day, th@ it was on the truck. They absolutely couldn't underst& wh@ I was trying 2 tell them as far as wh@ happened. How R they going 2 schedule a 2nd redlvry w/o me requesting 1? As the-sky-is-blue as I made it, their incompetent workers did not help me in any way wh@soever in the hour I wasted inside their business. Nothing was accomplished! Not wanting 2 deal with their horrible excuses 4 cus2mer service reps, I went str8 2 my old address only 2 find, of course, a PS from yesterday ST@ING THE PACKAGE IS @ THE PO AVAILABLE 4 PICKUP WED 2/10 AFTER 9AM I knew it! In writing on an official govt document - there it is. I didn't want 2 go waste more time @ the PO. I scheduled another redlvry, taped the signed slip 2 the door authorizing in the most obvious way 2 LEAVE IT Now wh@'s the point of posing a prob. w/o a solution? My suggestions 2 mgmnt: - Feedbck from cus2mers on the workers' behaviors, & respond appropri@ely. 2 outright say they need 2 B fired is a response not fit 4 this situ@ion - th@ can B reserved 4 some1 who's unsafe work ethic can get some1 killed (manual labor jobs), or 4 those directly hurting profits - Set up improvement plan. Use various metrics 2 measure th@ per4mance & track progress. Analyze these results & adjust where changes need 2 B made. Follow up. - If they can't meet mgmnt reqmnts, they need 2 B replaced with individuals th@ can bring their particular loc@ion's service levels 2 a new horizon. The post office is a post office. Nothing much to say about the facility. The reason I am giving one start is because of the workers. My husband filled out he application for a new passport and made an appointment . Upon arrival the worker told him he didn't even need to make an appointment and made him fill out a different application for a renewal. Two weeks later we get a letter in the mail saying he sent the wrong one. He should of known better not only because I researched and filled out the correct one for him to take. But he thought hey they work here they know what they are doing ... welp Apperantly they DO NOT or SHE did not . Now he has to make a new appointment and expedite the passport. I wouldn't say that this place is as good as it gets, but possibly for North Houston. USPS is typically a nightmare in Houston for some reason. This one is in a reasonable location and clean. The worker I specifically dealt with was very respectful and helpful. I went to return a huge box to the sender, but didn't know that it came to me through Fedex. She let me know that I could return it for free through Fedex instead of paying for it. Honest workers are hard to find. read more
