My daughter, now 17, is a second degree black belt, and has even attained the place of instructor. Since its turned into a almost pure Karate School, delegating those of us that like to practice the other arts to one day a week, if we're lucky, I no longer see the point of being a full time dues paying member. Now it's Karate all the time, by the numbers, in formation, like I'm back in the military. No thanks. I did my 8 and got out. I have self-discipline, I don't need to be taught that. I was after the internal arts. As such, I'll just be paying the day rate fees from here on out, if I choose to return. So, take what I say with a grain of salt. I haven't been back since he started compelling me to practice Karate only, a side sport for fun for me.
