He nicked a nerve and I am still in pain. Upon leaving I paid 25.00 for a post surgery boot, and I received text and calls that I owed 25.00 for the boot. I called and was told by the billing dept that they saw my payment but it was all done on computer and it would be taken care of. Today July 8th I received a bill for 25.00 for the post opt boot again. Do not trust the doctors or the people who work at all Florida orthopedics.

I have studied alternative medicine for years. Shiatsu, Herbalism etc. I understood much of what he was saying but he would not stop talking at me regardless of many times I interrupted and said, 'I know about that'. He mentioned my possibly being anemic and I let him know that I had been a couple years ago but that it was no longer the case. He again launched into a lecture, even though it didn't apply to me. He asked me about my diet and I told him it was Paleo/Zone and that I eat very few simple carbs. A teaspoon or two of honey daily and a small handful of gluten free crackers a week. He didn't seem to believe me. He went on to say Paleo often included desserts, disregarding my very clear description of what I ate. He went on to talk to me about weight loss. Something I did NOT ask help with. Without knowing how I gained the weight it was clear he made assumptions on how I gained it. When I shared that my integrative doc told me that the Vyvanse another physician had prescribed, to help with my AF, killed my appetite, put me into starvation mode and that my body hoarded every calorie I ate. That this integrative doc said the best way to lose the weight was to stabilize the raging hypoglycemia that Vyvanse had created by eating small healthy meals, frequently. Dr. Cole admitted that he had never heard of this kind of body imbalance. So, how could he give advice without asking questions? And that was the crux of the matter. Lectures are the WORST form of education. I have run workshops and can tell you, education is a matter of keeping things simple and repeating the info. He was a horrible example of what is effective. I hung in there as long as I did because I had given my credit card info to make the appointment. After spending $350 I hoped that maybe something would shift. Unfortunately it did not. After my experience with him, I was passed along to one of his associates. He too started to lecture me. I informed him that I had taken 3 saliva tests that he had referred to and was well acquainted with the procedure. This assistant even said that I needed to bring in the test and do it there so that it would be clear that it was done correctly. It was very patronizing, as was Dr. Cole. I realized the assistant was only following Coles directives and let him wind down his speech. He seemed like a very kind person. I think this was the worst experience I have ever had in a doctor's office. The level of disconnect was tremendous. It was like dealing with a full blown Narcissist that couldn't hear anything outside his 'world' experience. I never returned. I swallowed my bile and the $350 loss. And I say run! There are better options out there like Docs outside the Box. Dealing with such arrogance has a psychological effect on patients. How can anyone be helped if the Doc doesn't understand basic human respect?

(And concerns) Prior to going here I went to different urgent care locations whenever needed for sick care. He's kind, caring and takes the time to explain his diagnosis, medical advice, prescriptions, and more. He has gotten us through a few surgical procedures and emergency situations. Melissa, his assistant is a no-nonsense professional who somehow manages the busy phone lines and hectic flow of seniors in and out of the waiting room. One thing I'll never forget is calling his office on a Sunday to leave a message about needing a Rx. He answered the phone and I was able to get antibiotics on a Sunday without going to a pharmacy clinic.
