I called a company I had used in the past and they told me their techs would be unable to help but a substitute company would be engaged. On Sunday someone from Drgaragedoorrepairfl.com came and immediately told me his charge would be $275 just for showing up. Well it was Sunday. He began working and replaced the springs, at a charge of $500 each and a roller wheel for $100. Before he left, the door opened and closed. I paid him $1375 but my door worked - so I thought. I returned from my trip 2 weeks later and the door would not work. I looked at my neighbor's springs and they were quite different than the ones I had - at least twice the size. I immediately called the company and they said the technician would return in the morning with the proper springs. After calling me 4 times and putting me off from 11AM to 6 PM he arrived and had the wrong spring. He said he'd return the following morning with the proper spring. I called twice that morning and finally at 11:15 the tech said he was on his way with the right spring. Well it finally worked. He was kind enough to reset the lift control but ( not his fault) it wouldn't work properly so he had to come back twice. The 2nd time he wanted to be paid for a service call - we negotiated that. MORAL OF THE STORY: IF YOUR GARAGE DOOR DOESN'T WORK ON A WEEKEND MAKE EVERY ATTEMPT TO WAIT UNTIL MONDAY TO REPAIR IT. THERE ARE TOO MANY SHARKS OUT THERE. MY NEIGHTBOR FIXED HER GARAGE DOOR 1 WEEK AFTER MY REPAIR BUT ON A TUESDAY, AGAIN 2 SPRINGS, $800. SHODDY TECH RIP OFF FEES!
