This was business related so I had a fixed price. I had an hour to arrange pick up and leave. After eight other companies were unable to help me we found odyssey. They were able to get a car to me in twenty minutes and deliver me to Logan in time for my flight and within my price range. My return flight from Logan I once again had short notice. I'm a slow learner sometimes and tried two other companies that couldn't meet my needs. As soon I called Odyssey they had me scheduled for a pick up at Logan. The cars were immaculate, clean, comfortable, and in great condition. The two drivers I had were professional and able to read my needs. All of my future work related transportation needs will be handled by Odyssey. From the very outset Max (our driver and owner of Blue Sky) alleviated our concerns, stating that we would be at Logan by 8:20. He stopped for us to get coffee and then we were on our way. The trip down to Logan was smooth and comfortable, and I learned some insights into the business through my conversation with Max. He is very professional, and truly knows his business. I could tell through our conversations that he is a very hard worker, and is truly committed to making his business succeed. Max was friendly and the ride was pleasant. As we approached the hotel, I noticed there was no meter and asked how fares were calculated. He explained they were based on zones. When we arrived, he charged $33 plus $3 for our third passenger. I also tipped him. Once I got settled, I looked up the zone rates on the Manchester airport website because the fare seemed unusually high. From what I found, the trip should have been about $15 plus $3 for Zone 2. Unless I'm misunderstanding the rate structure, I was charged essentially DOUBLE what the fare should have been. Lesson learned: confirm the fare up front and get a receipt. Friendly driver, but I definitely felt taken advantage of.
