They charged us an extortionate amount of money and then quoted us to re-pipe our house!! We also had rtl out and after two hours without any progress or sign of progress we asked them to leave. Then we called alliance who in one hour fixed the problem! They installed a pressure reduction valve on our water main and problem solved!! Extremely easy to deal with and in hindsight would of saved us a lot of hardship and money if we called them first! The only plumbers for us from now on!

We got a few plumbers out to quote and we were up for $2000-3000 to replace the heater... We got on to jetset plumbing who advised us that it was only a leaking valve! And that the heater wasn't old enough to need replacing. Couldn't believe our luck, we are very grateful to jetset for saving us at least $2000!

A Frustrating, Overpriced, and Uncomfortable Experience I've…read morehad a deeply frustrating experience trying to get three split-system ACs serviced. Despite being clear about my requirements during booking, the process was a total mess from start to finish. Day 1: I moved heavy furniture to provide clear access. The technician provided quotes but claimed he "didn't have time" to do the work. I was charged nearly $300 just for the quotes. Day 2: Moved all the furniture again. The second technician arrived but wasn't qualified to perform the quoted work. While he was honest about his limitations and tried to fix the scheduling error with the office, I was now two days down and hundreds of dollars out of pocket for no results. Day 3: For the third attempt, I scaled back and requested only one AC be serviced. The technician arrived and immediately made me feel awkward by pointing out my previous 1-star review. He remarked, "Let's see what we can do about a 5-star review," yet proceeded to do only the bare minimum--nothing to actually address the prior service failures. The Breaking Point: After the third visit, I was invoiced for all three ACs despite only one being serviced. I had to call the office to dispute the charges for work that was never performed. The Verdict: By the time I received the "correct" invoice, the total cost (including the initial Day 1 charge) amounted to the price of a decent quality new air conditioner--all just for a basic service and clean. Between the scheduling incompetence, the awkward confrontation regarding my review, and the billing "errors," I cannot recommend this service.

So he was officially called a "handyman." How well he worked is proof that Australia's system of not recognising overseas tradesmen is costing us dearly. When I saw how good he worked, I asked him do to another handyman task, which he did. And after he left I regretted not asking him to do another small task that needed doing.

This company's handling of the situation was completely unprofessional--miscommunication,…read moreunauthorised entry, damage to private property, and an inflated quote. I strongly advise others to think twice before using RTL. They were hired by my body corporate to fix a sewerage pipeline leak. On 24 February 2025, while I was not home, they broke into my private garden without my permission, cutting off my lock and breaking my gate to gain access. After I raised a complaint, they insisted that they had informed us about needing access to our yard. However, on their notification email, it made no mention of this at all. Worse still, RTL seems to believe that simply informing you--regardless of whether you approve it or not--gives them the right to break into your property. This is extremely concerning and raises serious safety issues. Although they replaced the lock, they refused to take responsibility for fixing the gate. They claimed it was broken due to aging--when in fact, it was perfectly fine before they forced their way in. To make matters worse, they provided a ridiculously high quote of $4,800 to replace a simple 4m wooden gate. I later obtained a quote from another contractor for only $2000+ for a hard wooden gate and $3,000+ for a Colorbond gate, which is a far better material.
