One of the worst rental experiences I've ever had on Airbnb. Don't be fooled by the photos--if…read moreanything goes wrong, expect extremely poor and unreasonable customer service. Do not rent any of their Joshua Tree properties during the winter. The risk is simply too high. When we arrived on New Year's Eve, the electricity was out for five hours (which we understood was out of their control), but it shut off again the next morning. On top of that, there was an active ceiling leak dripping water while using the restroom. Things only got worse. For most of the remainder of our stay, the water heater was completely out--no hot showers in freezing temperatures. The hot tub, which we were charged an extra fee to use, didn't work either due to the water heater issue. The dryer was also broken. These issues essentially ruined my fiancée's trip and our close friend's birthday celebration. The most disappointing part, however, was their complete lack of empathy or professionalism when trying to resolve the situation. Communicating with them was exhausting and emotionally draining. It's hard to justify paying in full for a "luxury" property when there was no hot water for nearly two days, intermittent power outages, active leaks, and paid amenities that didn't function as advertised. They eventually issued a standard 30% refund, but considering legitimate issues affected more than two-thirds of our stay, it felt insufficient and unfair. We didn't expect a full refund--only a reasonable, prorated adjustment for the hours the home and amenities were unusable. It took multiple calls, emails, and documentation just to get a response, and even then, they showed no interest in making a fair compromise. If this is how they treat guests when serious problems arise, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere. There are plenty of better options out there. Ask yourself if you want to risk being stranded in the middle of nowhere dealing with a company like this when things go wrong. I certainly won't again.

Our Bulldogs didn't want to leave and neither did we. Don't miss this one if you have the option... Georgia is a person of magic and nothing but a giver. We may have found the most amazing VRBO but the true gift of the trip was meeting and being hosted by such a special human. She's also incredibly logical, level headed and generous as hell as a host. She's the best yet.

The Enchanted Manor was the first place we looked at and we both felt that it was the right fit. Georgia has created a little oasis in her back yard that we felt fit our vibe - lowkey, but classy. We had booked originally for approximately 60 guests, however once all the pieces fell into place we were closer to 50. Unfortunately our guest count dropped below 50 just after our window to let Georgia know, but she was kind enough to offer us the price difference. We applied that balance towards renting some heaters and lighting the fire pits as the weather got colder than anticipated, as well as to handling the trash. (Pay attention to the contract, you are responsible for removing trash or there is a fee.) One thing I didn't realize before booking was that there is space for a kitchen, but it needs to be built out for your event, so make sure you consider that into any costs. Georgia was really helpful and responsive to all of our questions (we had so many) and anything that we couldn't do she had very reasonable reasons. (For example, at one point I thought I'd like confetti, but she explained why she doesn't allow that on her property which made total sense!) The weeks before I became worried that there wasn't enough decor, so we bought some items that we ended up returning. Once the rentals arrived, combined with the lighting, everything was beautiful as it was. Though there is excellent lighting, I would recommend watching your step as we did have a few tripping incidents (that were not alcohol fueled in some cases) as the ground changed. It was more due to the way things were spaced and we'd have to make sure to look down as we stepped around things, but we managed to survive. We've started to see some photos and everything looked beautiful; it was a romantic but relaxed vibe which was just what we wanted. I worried it wouldn't feel like a wedding, but it did. Georgia was a gracious host, our guests enjoyed her home (we made sure to tell them that they could rent it as well for an overnight getaway) and we can't wait to start reading her book. She gave us the sweetest compliment after, saying how kind our guests were and how that spoke to who my husband and I were as well. We stayed in touch after the wedding and I hope we meet again in the future for events or just a dinner to hear of her adventures! PS - her cats were big hits all around, too!

The home was not as it sowed on the photos, I have bad allergies and made sure to ask about the homes ac and ventilation before booking, I was assured they used hypo filters and that the ac was regularly serviced. They were unable to repair ac and the host couldn't have cared less told me to "deal with it" I hope to prevent anyone from experiencing such a horrible stay! It's clear the house was purchased for the intent of doing short term rentals (airbnb VRBO etc) with no renovations and very little invested. The home was old, unsecured, had mold and the hot water didn't work for showers or for the pool / spa we payed extra for. During our stay I contacted Apollo getaways regarding our concerns and the only response I would received stated they would reach out to their partner and see what they could do to fix the issue and then ghost me. Upon leaving the rental I cleaned the home and started a load of dishes even though it wasn't requested. I've attached the messages where the host thanked me for cleaning and said they hoped to see us again. It wasn't until we requested a refund for the pool/ spa heating that didn't work that they changed their tune and proceeded to leave me a bad review claiming I left the home a mess and with soiled linens. Not only is this inaccurate but I always take photos before and after I leave a property just incase there's any dishonest hosts who want to make inaccurate claims. I've attached the photos (which are dated and time stamped) of how I left the home for you to see there's not a single mess, no destroyed linens and no "accidents". The bottom line I've learned from this experience is that Apollo Getaways lacks integrity in their listings, communications and reviews therefore I wouldn't recommend working with or renting from this company.

It was great having such a responsive team standing by to take care of a few tiny minor glitches that were done quickly and perfectly. For the home, having rented over a dozen homes in the LA area...and a good share elsewhere, this lovely home has become our absolute favorite. It was the perfect size for our family (2 adults and 2 teens), providing all of us with enough room to have our own space, and spacious enough in common areas to enjoy watching a movie, playing board games, and having dinners. The space was light and bright, really well-furnished, and the gorgeous walk-in closet made me want one at home. We fell in love with this part of town, strolling Robertson and Melrose were a breeze. Great restaurants, shopping, everything was pretty fabulous. Though the kitchen was not as well-stocked as other rentals, that was such a minor point. All in all, this was a great 2 weeks and we're eager to return to West Hollywood.
