We…read morevisited the restaurant during a time when some renovations were taking place therefore the entrance to the restaurant was blocked. We went to the hotel lobby and asked for help finding the restaurant and the person there didn't seem to know where the entrance was. I always thought whole afternoon tea thing was so overrated but I figured I'd give it another chance (when in England). My opinion has not changed, in fact it was reinforced by the experience at this restaurant. The pastries were not good, didn't taste like they were made by a pastry chef, tasted more like they were store bought.

From the reception desk to Toby at the front door to the young man who served me coffee of my choice each morning to the young lady who quickly steeped in to wipe up the orange juice I spilled IN THE LIFT, each and every staff member I met demonstrated great character. The club's aim is to provide to all University staff: Good food, Inexpensive drinks, a friendly atmosphere, beer festivals & lots more! It has a reciprocal access arrangement for members of the University Centre. As a building, it's pretty basic: a two-storey functional brick exterior (easily the ugliest building on Mill Lane) which resembles a 1970s sports centre, with very limited access for those in wheelchairs. The interior is also pretty basic, with the feel of a 1980s student cafeteria. But it does provide cheap drinks and cafeteria-style food, in unpretentious surroundings, and is close to the attractive riverside walks along the Cam. Friendly staff, too.

Our room made a constant noise we could not figure out where it was coming from, but it'd click on and off and would wake you up. Every employee at this hotel was so nice - from front desk to the restaurant to the pool staff to maintenance to room service (we used all the services!) They had an awesome playground and a kids bag with crayons and candy at check in. We stayed here and then drove to the park and ride which took us into Cambridge which was really convenient.

We went back to reception and they told us that they don't have a room for us whatsoever and the room that they had given us keys for was just a double room and not a two double bedded room. There was no manager on site and the duty manager kept walking away and refusing to help and kept asking the receptionist to write notes or call hotels and see if they had rooms. We were told no other hotels in the area had rooms yet we managed to book one ourselves online straight away 2 miles away. complete rubbish and get unless service.
