I wasn't sure what category to put this in…read more It is a big warehouse, where you learn to be a circus star. Why is that not a yelp category?! I took a series of three silks courses here. NOT at easy as it looks, let me tell you. I have never been so sore in my entire life, but it sure is a really unique way to work out and have fun/try something new. They offer static and flying trapeze, tumbling, silks, Chinese pole, hoops... pretty much anything you'd see at Cirque du Soliel or the like. The instructors (mine was named Katie, though I am admittedly biased towards other Katies...) were really sweet and patient. But yea, if you're not in pretty darn good shape.... good luck with this. The only downside is more a personal one, in that it is far from where I live. But it is a great space, with great staff, and I definitely recommend trying it out! Mostly other young (as in 20-35ish) fun people in my classes. Small class, too, all levels, but only like 3-5 people for 1 instructor.

Guided tours are available around the house and packages are on offer for either the house tour or full access to the park depending on budget and interest. They also offer fun days ranging from cars to fun activities for the children including crafts. It also offers in the ground separate function rooms for different occasions to hire. The negatives are the pricing. Separate packages you choose works out quite costly. Totally inaccessible by foot no bus's covers this area and not very convenient by foot. So unless you have a car you might find it hard getting here.

First & last time at a Concert there! We had been told previous that the parking situation there was a nightmare, especially trying to leave, hence parked at Stevenage Train Station, taxi there (asked about booking a taxi back too be told that there would be plenty there on the return journey). Once dropped off, a mile trek to the stage, up a steepish hill. Left before the Encore in the hope of getting a taxi back to Station, it had started to rain while the Chilli's were on but, on leaving it poured, waited for at least 2 hours for a taxi only to be told by the Police that they were not allowing in more taxi's onto the Park & too walk. The Police at this area were not even local in the taxi area & had to radio to find out directions. We were then instructed to walk at least 2 miles down an unlit country road, cars passed, even the Police in an Incident Van, it was extremely dangerous at 1 o'clock in the morning. At the end of lane there was a proper road, was able to flag down a taxi. Load of people missed the last trains and there was no info given out about where they could stay, but I doubt there was anywhere available. The Taxi driver told us that he had been at the Park once & on the second time had been turned away, he also said that Organiser never seem to consult or even take advice from them on the best way for Taxi access, it was a disgrace. They could of had shuttle buses, people would have paid & it would have got a lot more walking people off the Park, easier, quicker & most importantly safer. Was due to get back in doors around 2am, instead 4.30am arrived! I will be writing to the Park & Police.

At home I set to 63° by day & off all night, so I don't like it hot! In 4 nights never got hot water-barely tepid if I ran for 20 minutes. So no showers in 4 days. They pushed back when I complained & eventually apologized but never fixed. One staff person covering reception, maintenance,& tending bar. They never answered 2 of my emails. No lifts. Toilet outside our 3rd floor classroom often failed to flush & staff was rude & dismissive about it. Told me he'd had the plumber check & nothing wrong. Advised me to "use the 2 other toilets on that floor," both of which had "out of order" signs on them for all 3 days I checked. Supposed Plumber didn't address? So I'd go down 3 flights & back up 2 more to use the toilet in my room, which worked fine, but some other ladies older, using canes...At one point I was so frustrated & exhausted about heat & hot water I started to cry, which did get some attention ( but no hot water or plumbing). When I told the staff member "I might as well be camping," his response was "I really do miss camping with my Dad." Totally missed the point. Next time will stay a 5 minute walk away at the Premier Inn. Other students said everything there worked fine,& it was cheaper! I chose charm & history & did not expect luxury but this was completely unacceptable on every level. If I could score them zero I would

I have several food intolerances so when asking about the ingredients in their homemade cakes I got a message back via the waitress that she can't guarantee the cakes were free from what I was intolerant to. As people with food intolerances are always ending up having to go without gorgeous food, I asked if I could have more detail of what was in the cakes so I could make a decision on what it was I could or couldn't eat, just in case there was something I could have. This was very obviously an inconvenience to the waitress and the manager who had baked them. She tried again to say she couldn't guarantee anything because obviously this was the quickest way to solve the issue for herself, but after explaining that I'd like to try to see if there was something I could eat, it was again very plain that I was wasting her time. It was late afternoon and they weren't busy, so I would have appreciated a couple of minutes of her time without the attitude. After finding out there was indeed a piece of cake I could eat, I sat down to enjoy it only to be served it with more attitude by the waitress. If she could have got away with grunting at me I sure she would have! I unfortunately had to ask for a pot of hot water as the tea didn't come with one, and AGAIN got a look saying 'are you bothering me again?!'. Cleanliness was also not great with tea-stained table clothes, dying roses on the table, and also dust on the teapot holding the roses which was next to an open sugar bowl which no doubt had the same amount of dust in it! Also, amazingly, a dog walking around the kitchen area with it's bed behind the serving counter!! (Yes, I am about to inform environmental health dept!!) Lastly, my table was being cleared before I had finished. I did notice however, that the other table still in there didn't have their table touched, so I'm guessing that was a touch of nastiness from the waitress also. I was there looking for a place to take 18-20 friends for my birthday which is coming up soon as we fancied a gorgeous afternoon tea, but we will definitely be going somewhere else after that experience!
