I have lived at university club for 3 years now and it has its pros and cons . pros- has a beautiful view , 2 of 3 staff are helpful and friendly If you need things fixed they will come pretty quick. cons - elevators are always down but the cost of living is constantly going up with no upgrades . The elevators are a real issue here which is why I'm moving . I've been stuck a few times, I've slid in the elevator. very scary.. My air has gone out every year in either end of May or June . I'm talking days. Last year I wasn't notified that my lease was ending and the following month my bill increased ... The situation was fixed but made me feel pressure of resigning a lease. This past weekend all elevators were down.. mind you there are 32 floors . read more

Since moving into the University Club apartments in August of 2025, I have nothing but gratitude. The office staff, maintenance crew and all of the lovely residents make life easy and enjoyable. Gorgeous view, especially at the fourth of July! Really pleasant neighbors, only complaint is the elevators are frequently malfunctioning but the staff is very responsive and I suppose it comes with the territory when you live in a building that was built in the 1960s. I cannot say enough good things about all the staff here. They are so caring and helpful, it truly shows in all they do for us residents. They're always cheery and greet you with a smile. The common areas are so well maintained and clean. On top of that they're awesome! Who else gets a movie theater in their apartment complex? Nobody I know, I can tell you that. Offices to use and a billiard room, what?! Of course the location and views cant be beat, but you already knew that. I've lived here for three years and eight months. Twenty-Two days after I expressed my intention to the leasing officer to stay in this building long term (and they gave no indication whatsoever at the time that this would be a problem), I was given a letter stating that the building would not be renewing my lease, and I had 5 weeks to vacate the unit. I am a 100% totally and permanently disabled veteran with a service connected disability, and the resulting anxiety has sent me to the ER with physical health problems and created a financial burden. No reason was given, I've never been written up for any violation, and I've always paid rent on time. There have been multiple vacant units on my floor for months. The building refuses to negotiate with me. I feel very strongly that I am being discriminated against due to my disability. I can't, in good faith, continue to give this building rose colored reviews. There's tons of problems that often go completely unaddressed. It's a toxic environment. On paper, it looks awesome. In reality... well, Seinfeld comedy gold didn't come from good experiences in an apartment. Avoid, even if you have to pay hundreds more per month. I will be writing a full review of my three years, nine months in this building (with pictures) once I get into a new place. Again, please save yourself the stress and stay away from anything owned by Horizon. read more

Not only that, things break all the time and maintenance "fixes" them only for them to break within a month. I've been trying to get them to fix three things inside my apartment for three months now and they are choosing to ignore the issues. Staff is rude. The area around is not safe. The location is the best. A minute walk from the riverside, a mile from Gathering Place, a quick scooter ride to downtown, and a $15 Uber ride to the airport. The views are incomparable. Parking in the garage or on the street is easy. The gym and pool are fantastic. The apartments have interesting (in a good way) pizza-pie layouts that allow for a lot of window space for the square footage. The 1 bedroom has about 900 square feet, and all units come with balconies. I enjoy living here a lot. The units are very quiet as this is a concrete tower. And there's little distance from any unit to the elevators, which are very fast, or the garbage chute, because everything is arranged in a circle. I live in a unit the "farthest" from the elevator (20 steps), which is nice because it's extremely quiet and private. To be honest, this was the last apartment complex I looked at when I was comparing places in Tulsa 3 years ago, but I'm happy I found this place! read more

Rough riding elevator specifically the middle one. I delivered here and road the elevator and boy was I scared. It was making weird sounds and it was loud. Kind of like grinding sounds. I moved into University Club on April 21st and I've had two leaks due to busted pipes from the floor above supposedly due to the construction that wakes everyone up at 7:30 am M-F. This last leak was horrible and they had to remove my ceiling in entryway and the bathroom. There had been a huge hole in my ceiling, industrial fans and a humidifier running on MY electric in my apartment for almost 3 weeks because lack of communication with the staff at University Club. They were supposed to fix the ceiling today and are now saying tomorrow after the maintenance man told me he had to order the ceiling tile to fix the giant hole in my ceiling and didn't know how long it would be. I've asked for a rental reduction and haven't heard anything back this mess has been a huge inconvenience and I can't wait to see how high my electric bill will be! I'm very disappointed that I've only been here for 2 months and I've had to live this way when I'm paying 1k+ and the unprofessionalism and lack of concern of the staff here. read more

I've really enjoyed living at university club apartments. Their staff is the best in town as they truly care and make you feel at home. The pool is the best in town and I'm about ready for it after all of this cold weather. They also have a great WiFi cafe, theater room, library, fitness center and even a convenient sundries area. The floors go up to 32 and so you really get a great view of the Tulsa downtown skyline no matter what apartment you live in. The location is key as you're right next to the. Gathering place, cherry st, blue dome, Brady arts, utica square and brook side. You should definitely give this historical apartment complex a look. read more

With renovations completed, University Club is perfect. It has the best views in Tulsa, wonderful balconies (9x9 foot), new appliances, floors, granite counters, etc. I like the location in mid-town by the river, as well as the large, well equipped fitness center. Management and staff are always friendly and responsive. It seems every week or so they have social events... such as holiday parties, wine tasting, and other gatherings. I think anyone interested in an apartment in mid-town should check out this unique tower! read more

We love living here. Rent isn't "cheap", but you get more for the price than you would anywhere in the main downtown area. Honestly, I think this location is even better since it is right off of the river and a short walk/bike ride to the Gathering Place and river parks. It is a very short distance to anywhere you might care to go. My favorite things are the location, amazing view, modern pool area, and huge gym. There are also a lot of parties put on by the apartment management with food and wine and neighbors. You should check it out. read more

I recently moved to Tulsa and I am so glad I made the decision to live at University Club. I initially was looking at other apartments around Tulsa but I felt that they were extremely overpriced for the square footage and amenities. University Club's apartments are extremely spacious and have tons of windows with natural light. It is also located in a great area with Gathering Place and the riverside trails all seconds away. The management puts on lots of fun events and has giveaways which is really nice. The only downsides to living here are that parking can potentially be very high up in the winding parking garage, and there are not many built-in light fixtures or cabinets. I didn't know the living room or bedrooms didn't have overhead lighting so our first few days living here were pretty dark until we could go buy some lamps- not a big deal overall I just wish I would've known before-hand. The storage situation has been fixed by buying lots of storage furniture and using space creatively, so once again not a huge deal. I still think it's a steal for the price, amenities, service, and square footage! read more

The apartments do not have sprinklers, which are required by the fire code. This is NOT a safe place to live.

The front lobby chairs are nasty. Don't sit in them. The staff is pleasant and friendly. We looked at an apartment for rent (2 br) and unless you are 5' and have a dwarf bed, there's no way you can get a bed easily through the small door frames. The carpet in the hallway was musty and smelled bad enough to make you pray for a breeze. Stains all over it. Friendly residents, though. Very nice residents. read more

I have really enjoyed living here! The renovations are beautiful. I love the pool and grills. My boyfriend is constantly using the gym. It's 6000 as ft and 100% free. The only reason I give 4 stars and not 5 is because we moved in while is in renovation. So we were prepared for noise and the things that come with it. But can be frustrating. Obviously thats not the leasing office or maintenance teams fault. read more

Good pool, friendly staff and spacious apartments!

I, among most other current tenants, am moving OUT! The renovations are nice, but the rent is increased way too much for a couple of well needed upgrades. Management doesn't seem to concern themselves with the existing tenants, only with the endless construction. They work 7 days a week, with little progress, start early, and stay late. Don't count on much peace and quiet. Please check out some of the area's better apartments for less money. Don't bother with this crazy place. If you want real proof, just come watch all of the moving vans leaving here. read more

After living here for almost ten years I will tell you that this place has gone downhill. After the change in management it takes maintenance 3-5 days to fix a leak. The elevators are dilapidated (I have actually been trapped in one) and the parking garage is a disaster. If you are thinking of moving here save yourself the trouble. AVOID THIS PLACE LIKE THE PLAGUE!! Cockroach infested. Mold throughout the walls and window seals. I broke lease over the mold and bug issues and they charged me $2000! They need to be reported to the EPA and that is exactly what I plan on doing! If you care about your health, move on!! read more

I love, love, love living at the University Club Apartments! I have been here a little over three years and was drawn to the uniqueness of the round building from the start. I can honestly say the new management team has come in, in last few months has made things so nice and make me feel at home. With all the new renovations it has been the best apartment community I have been in. They quickly respond to my concerns and the maintenance guys don't miss a beat. They have monthly events and think outside the box when it comes to having events that interest the varying personalities of the people who live here. I'm especially excited about the monthly music jam night. Where the people can come down play instruments sing create music together or just sit back, have a drink and enjoy listening. They really know how to bring neighbors together and make a real community. They are available daily to answer questions, receive packages and even handle my dry cleaning. They are also great at making suggestions for places to go and things to do that I may have not thought about. I have made friends here and it's nice to know my neighbors names and not just another face on the elevator or in parking. The view from my apartment is exceptional and there are no buildings blocking my view. The noise is very low, I rarely ever hear my neighbors. I have reserved parking spot in a parking garage so I don't have to fight to find a spot. I love being able to come home and be proud of where I live. I'm at peace the moment I set foot in this beautiful building. This has been the best apartment experience and don't plan to move until I one day buy my own place.
