Of all the churches I had attended in my hometown and in my church-visits in Eugene, Harvest did the best job of balancing respect for COVID guidelines and fostering a place of hospitality. We've been attending for more than a year, and have really felt the love of the congregation! I love the way that they are dedicated to loving and serving the area. They aren't just a 'club' or interest group that gets together on Sunday mornings, but they make an impact on the neighborhood they're in. From family events, to partnering with the schools around them, to serving the homeless, Harvest Community Church practices 1 John 3:16-18. Harvest has truly become my family here in Eugene!

Our small group is the place we have deeper connections and people we can trust to pray together and mutually share what's really going on in our lives. We have been encouraged to join full time, become members, volunteer, etc, but we don't choose to do that, because we also attend and volunteer at Eugene-Springfield Chinese Christian Fellowship once a month to keep in touch with our cultural heritage. Our friends at church understand that and accept us as we are. If you're looking for a politically active church, this isn't it. They are teaching the Bible but they don't bring up current events and politics. For me, that's a calming break from the divisions in our society. I love the chance to meet in harmony with people who are different from me. But if you want activism, there are other churches.
