It may sound cliche, but he has given me back my quality of life. Dr. Oros is not the first surgeon I met for the procedure but after meeting him, he was my first choice. Dr. Oros speaks in plain English and his attitude with a patient is fantastic. He is not at all condescending and I never felt rushed. All of my questions were answered in a polite and respectful manner. My surgery was a complete success. Dr. Oros did a total hip replacement of both my hips using the anterior method and I was up walking within hours. I was walking without a walker in less than two weeks and walking over a mile a day within a couple more weeks. I cannot over emphasize how happy I am.

He came across as rude, dismissive, and arrogant, making us feel as though our questions and concerns were an inconvenience. When explaining his diagnosis, his primary justification was, "I have 22 years of experience." While experience is valuable, we expected a discussion supported by the medical findings and imaging. When we asked for the medical evidence behind his diagnosis, he did not provide a clear explanation. Additionally, despite having previous MRI results available, he did not review them before offering his opinion. Instead of addressing our questions respectfully, the conversation became argumentative whenever we sought clarification or asked about the differences between his assessment and the prior imaging. Patients deserve to be treated with respect, to have their concerns heard, and to receive clear, evidence-based explanations about their care. Unfortunately, that was not our experience.

Overall the facility is large, great parking and dropoff, and nearby the main UT hospital. The staff end-to-end was very helpful with no concerns here. The quality of care and attention to detail on reviewing her situation and needs was good. The only issue I observed was the amount of distance they were having folks walk at times (that have some type of mobility issue). Perhaps staff to help move the more challenged folks (in the absence of their own approved/owned mobility gear) would be a nice touch. We'll be back a few times more, but hopefully not to come back ongoing!

And when I did, I underwent the procedure and mailed the CD and results to the doctor's office. MULTIPLE messages were sent via the portal and to the surgery center, plus calls were placed to the office. I have a torn medical meniscus and I need surgery. Nearly 6 weeks later, I'm still waiting for a reply from University Orthopedic Surgeons to schedule my surgery. In the meantime, I can barely walk and the pain is severe. As a result, I had to seek the care of another physician, incur that additional expense, AND now I'm scheduled for surgery tomorrow all the while, still waiting for a reply from McCollum's office. DO NOT consider this place for your surgery.

I had a surgery in October of 2022 at Tennessee Orthopedic Clinic (TOC). Five months post surgery…read moremy figure started to become disfigured, and today I can't even put my right hand into my pocket because the finger is bent/ disfigured. They have refused to see me, answer my emails, answer questions on my patient portal, or return calls. TOC's reason for not wanting to help? I owe them money. My insurance company paid $16,449.53, I paid $1,219.13 (10/20/22) before the surgery took place, and have made multiple smaller payments on the account since. I even went in and spoke to someone, offered to pay cash to have my finger looked at, and they declined to see me. Feel free to look at my other reviews. I HATE leaving a bad review for anyone. I have a right hand that's barely functional without an enormous amount of pain, and negative reports on my credit, all for a surgery that was suppose to fix my broken finger, not make it worse. The images of the bent finger are from 3.25.2024, and I cannot straighten it. Patient Portal picture is multiple emails sent with NO response. Pictures with stitches were post op.

To my amazement I got an appt for that same day and had the pleasure of having Dr Casey's assistant, Cassandra Laskowski exam my knee. She did a very thorough assessment and was able to Dx the problem. I received a steriod injection and a NASAID gel to apply to my knee. Cassandra did not rush and answered all my questions.
