I've been meaning to post my review, as I came here during the summer. Well, I'll give you some background because I grew up coming to this mall. It literally was the place to be back in the day. I've seen the changes throughout the years, and I think it's still a great place to hang out. They've remodeled, and there are new stores and restaurants. There aren't many malls in the area now. There were other ones to visit back then, but they're all gone now. So, it's nice to know this one is still standing strong for the community. By the way, there are two Chick-fil-A's in the Mishawaka area. We prefer to come to the one in University Park Mall because it's less busy. Both are busy places, but this one isn't as congested. I'm also glad to see Barnes and Noble in this mall. With many book stores closing, I don't get to find one too often. On the weekends, it's hard to find parking, but honestly, it has been that way since I was growing up. read more

Went here while on vacation. It's a huge mall. Has a large food court and a few play areas for the kiddos. Along the mall you will also find some massage chair that cost about $2 for 5 min. I suggest taking full advantage of these. It felt amazing. I was surprised at how busy this mall was. Compared to my hometown mall each store was filled with a business while mine at home has lots of vacancies. Each store I went into was clean and there were several stores that they offered that mine didn't!! Score!! There were several spots to sit and people watch and a few scattered food spots outside the food court area. It took me a half day to walk and shop the stores I wanted to. I was wiped out by days end. There are a couple of chain places to eat on the outskirts and the parking lot was easy to get in and out of. Def recommend. Great place to pass some time and spend some money. read more

University Park Mall is the closest mall to me, making it my most frequently visited mall. I like coming here because there are a lot of stores that I enjoy buying things from, such as Hot Topic, JCPenney, Torrid, BoxLunch, and their many shoe stores. I also like their food court, with my favorite place being Pizza Di Roma. I also like their snack places like the Icy Bar and Auntie Anne's pretzels. If you are looking for a mole that isn't half abandoned and actually has stores in most of its storefronts, University Park Mall is the place to go if you are in the area. The Wife grew up in this area and when we come to visit, it's likely that we'll come by the mall to just walk around and see what's changed. This time, it was different because it was the first time we came through after covid. We didn't expect it to be so busy. Yes, there are some stores that are closed but that's just malls on general. It was an active mall, it didn't feel empty at all. If you're going to people watch, need something that day, want some nostalgia of walking through aall, this is a good place to go. It still seems pretty clean, some people don't know how to wear their masks properly, but that's just about anywhere. Check it out. read more

Barnes noble is there and they got a lot of legos and book's from anywhere to albums to legos they have it and there GameStop is ok but go to the one in plymouth they sell Xbox 360, ps3, and Nintendo wii and Wii U they have a lot even GameCube every once in a while and dont even get me started on ds games they have so much even gameboy every once in a while only in plymouth but up mall has a really nice hot topic with pops and tshirts from a some bands and there is also a place called box lunch and Tilly's they got alot of good stuff. 4.0 review because the gamestop doesn't have retro or older games only modern. read more

I really love the lululemon store in this mall. The educator Hayli (hope I spell correctly) is so helpful and kindhearted!! My pants which bought in other country last month has some quality issues but she helped me patiently . Really made my day! The educators in this shop are friendly.Highly recommended read more

Simon Malls are usually reliable, really clean and very professionally managed but this one was in harsh shape, they were performing a renovation next to the customer service booth, evidently they are expecting a new tenant which requires plumbing and as result they have a veritable sand box at a main entrance which is contained with caution tape....."GAUCHE", in addition I ended up using the restrooms in Macy's because the mall washrooms were dirty. Finally, I noticed a mall employee changing lights in mall with a high lift during the day?? Very dangerous. The exterior stores had very amateur signage alerting that they don't have access to the mall, surely something more professional and consistent could be clinged to the windows. read more

Very nice clean mall. Besides the friendly staff at almost every shop or stand, this is your typical Mall with the usual shops. Decent food court with a nice variety of choices. There are two distinct areas of this Mall that bring it from 3 to 4 stars: First: the Children's play area - This Area is great for kids to run around in and play. My nephew and nice have a great time playing with other kids and running around the obstacles. Plus, this area is free. Second: The jumping/bouncing ride they have for the kids. My niece loves this ride. They strap her into this giant bungle type cord and she bounces up on a trampoline. She does flips in the air and laughs they whole time. Although there is a fee to ride, it's totally worth it and there is always a line which shows how popular this ride really is. read more

A surprise an upscale mall in a college town! A large variety of stores including Coach, Macy's, Barnes & Noble, and Vans. Easy to navigate and walk. I liked the fact it was one level, bright and open. The only drawback is that they have a smaller food court so if you wanted more than just burgers or Chinese food you'd have to leave the mall. read more

I judge malls based on store selection, and there are lots of stores I like in this mall. This includes aerie, Aeropostale, Charlotte Russe, Victoria's Secret, American Eagle, Auntie Anne's, Chik-Fil-A, Claire's, Five Guys, Forever 21, Hollister, Pacsun, Payless, and Wet Seal. This is a pretty big mall, and it seems like there is some summer construction going on, as there seems to be cement for half the floors. Since there is only 1 story, this is a very long mall, so you sometimes need to walk a long distance to get to certain stores. read more

Was very surprised and delighted to find a mall of this caliber here. Before you think I'm some sort of mall snob let me explain. When we first heard we were moving to the area we got a lot of sympathetic looks and were told it wasn't a great place. Turns out everyone was wrong! We love the area and all the available resources, this mall being one of things we really enjoy. I love that Barnes and Noble is attached to the mall. A mall without an attached bookstore is lame. The anchor stores are my favorite ones and I love that forever 21 is there too. Combining outdoor indoor stores is different and adds character to mall and area. New things are on their way too. Stores are renovating and it just keeps getting better. Very happy to have a mall like this in our new home. read more

This mall packs a punch to your day! Lots of games and diverse stores for everyone, and little play areas for the kids! There is a food court for anyone who gets hungry while shopping, and plenty of snacks and goodies to have as you walk around the mall. read more

Dear mall management you HAVE to put soap in your bathrooms !!!!!!! Ironically I only come in here for bath & body works and a few other stores . The BRAND NEW kids play area was disgusting !!! It needs to be wiped down . It's such a shame because most of the workers at the mall are so pleasant . The selection is just so limited and the cleanliness level in the bathrooms are disgusting . Seriously every soap dispenser is empty or has some water drip if you push it 100 times read more

In wonderful South Bend a mall did not exist. The neighboring city of Mishiwaka had a mall, the attraction of the entire area. With a Coach and Banana Republic store, and a two story Macy's, this was upscale shopping in Mishiwaka. The mall was constantly packed with teenagers and crowded like any rural area mall. It was not bad, considering it was the only choice you had. Selection was okay. And this was the only Sunday entertainment in the area. Lots of memories from school reside with this place. If you are a Notre Dame student, you have to visit this place. The places around campus are a huge ripoff. read more

Coming from a south suburban town south of Chicago I am very impressed. This mall is extremely clean and well kept with assortments of food places, a plethora of shops and very kid friendly. Definitely a great mall of the Midwest. read more

Like any mall, it's expected for teenagers to roam here. That's where they usually hang out so I don't understand the recent reviews on this issue? Have we gotten too old to remember? Also, this mall is always having some sort of transition seeing what stores work and what don't. We live in Mishawaka, IN not the metropolitan of Chicago. The stores that are here suits the demographics. I only go to very few stores, if not - there is always online shopping. UP Mall is the best mall in Northern Indiana. The other regional malls around South Bend/ Mishawaka have gone into terrible decline or have been redeveloped completely. This mall has stayed ahead of the curve and continues to attract stores that people want to shop at and are willing to drive the distance for. read more

University Park Mall is a great mall! There is a wide selection of stores to choose from, the layout is easy to navigate, and the walkways and bathrooms are clean. Its not just a standard boring mall though as there are a variety of stores accessed from the inside and outside. I think its a cool place to hang out. The thing that I love the most about the mall is some of the stores devotion to being involved in the community. Barnes and Nobel is always having some sort of event going on that is fun, unique and interactive. They've had "Batman" days, prize give aways for kids pledging to write everyday for a month straight, and read aloud groups for kids and adults alike. I also love the "kids club" put on by the mall. When you sign up and pay the yearly fee (I can't remember exactly how much maybe.... 40 bucks?) you get a book of coupons every month, free train ride tickets, a t-shirt, and the chance to spin the prize wheel every time you go to the mall. The prizes are cheesy little trinkets that make the kids go crazy and its fun to watch them get excited about winning something. I also love that its not just a bunch of chain stores either. There are a few unique boutiques that are locally owned which is excellent for our community! read more

This mall is dirty. I feel like the restrooms are always filthy. They need to step up cleaning. They should replace the stainless steel stalls or CLEAN them. And clean the floors. I feel like I am going to get sick just going in there. read more

This review is actually for the Luca Pizza DiRoma in the food court. After we got our food it tasted good. But I was VERY surprised when the total was $17.79 for 2 sm drinks, 2 pieces pepperoni pizza, and 1 piece sausage pizza. NOT worth it! Never again! Shouldn't have been over $10.00 it was lunch. Macy's staff does it right. They are tentative and pleasant. The store has lots to offer and usually a sale coupon or flyer going on. The store is fairly clean and well arranged. Always shoes on sale too! read more

As a native of Michiana I've noted major changes and transformations University Park Mall has undergone. Back in the day which was the 90's and the mid 2000's the mall had wider variety of stores (as far as price and style goes), but the mall didn't have as many outside stores as they do now; such as Barnes and Noble etc. Which is awesome! Then within the last 5 or so years the mall went under major reconstruction and added a lot of different stores, a bar, and restaurants etc. But with the additions also came subtractions, and a lot of the other stores (for whatever reasons) left University Park Mall. Over the last few years Abercrombie and Fitch, The limited, Body Central, Natrualizer, Vanity, Wet Seal, among other stores are now gone!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I just wonder how many more stores are going to stay, or if their going to stay? Then the stores that are left in the mall are largely designer and more name brand stores that are very pricey. Overall I still like going to University Mall to shop but I know I better have at least a couple hundred on me if I want to make any sizable purchases. Overall University is Park Mall is still a nice place to go whether to enjoy family activities, shop, eat, or hang out, and they have nice events. But going there just depends on what you're at the mall to do and how much money you have, I sure miss the other stores being at the mall. read more
