I was selected to participate in the show

After 3 years... I am still a fan of this circus. I wrote my initial 3 years ago, but I have been attending this circus for at least seven years and I love it wholeheartedly. This year... I was apart of the show! Yes, me! I participated in one of the 'family fun' acts. It was myself and three men... we were chosen from the audience to mimic dance moves from one of the acts. This was super cool and big fun at the same time. I must say if I wasn't before, I am officially the coolest mom ever and my daughter approves :) We attended the Friday morning show (10:30 am), the last Friday in July 2018. While there were a few seats empty for the most party most seats were filled. Some of the acts were repeats, but there were at least three different new acts. The circus celebrates 25 years of service this year, such a blessing and they are definitely improving year after year. This circus sets up under the Big Top in the parking lot of the Galleria aka Military Circle Mall. While the mall is barely holding on to a few stores, the circus still comes to town and does great with their ticket sales. I have no complaints... I am already looking forward to next year. Oh, this year, a new Ringmaster was featured. He was pretty good... not sure if he will be around for years to come, but it was nice to see someone new, he added a different flare to the show... an 80s baby type of vibe. Have fun and enjoy life :)

All I can say is, if you've never experienced the Universoul Circus, then you're missing out. Such a joy to watch such amazing talent from across the globe.

I purchased tickets for my husband and I from Groupon completely blind. I had no idea what this circus was about whatsoever. I was worried at first because the circus was outside in a tent instead of in a venue and I am extremely sensitive to heat and sun. I shouldn't have worried; while not frigid, it was comfortable inside and they did have cooling units going. The seating was tight. It definitely was a close encounter with the person seated next to you. The rows were very narrow. I had an end seat so I wasn't too uncomfortable, but my poor husband was squashed between me and another lady of similar proportions. The circus announcer, the ringmaster, was very engaging and entertaining. I found myself laughing through a large part of the show. And what a show! While not as large as some of the more common circuses, this one is definitely as entertaining. There were daring stunts and trained animals and clowns too! I really loved the modern music and the crowd engagement of this show. Really eager to take my kids next time they are in town.

The entire audience seemed excited for the performance, with the Christmas spirit felt throughout the lobby and theater. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and helpful. The available concessions were tasty, though the spiked eggnog was sorely missed this year. One recommendation would be to improve communication regarding drink availability at the bars. If certain beverages are not served at the theater entrance bar (like hot cocoa and coffee), they should not appear on that menu, or guests should be informed before waiting in line. I witnessed dozens of theatergoers being told after a long wait that hot drinks were only available at the side bar by the front windows which created a lot of unnecessary frustration. The Wells Theatre has a wonderful antique nostalgia while remaining well maintained and very clean. We were fortunate to experience the show from a completely different seat location that previous years, on the opposite side of the house, and the updated writing and script changes were enough to keep the production feeling fresh and engaging. We also appreciated the intermission being placed after the First Spirit rather than after the Second, as in previous years, as it made the acts feel more balanced. Additionally, the return of the Third Spirit's in-audience entrance was definitely appreciated.

The acoustics did not drown out their chattering. It's not a large venue and seating is organized by zones rather than fixed seats; staff directs you to a specific row within your zone. We purchased tickets for the Candlelight Orchestra through FEVER. Apparently Zeiders rents out their space for events, so tickets for this event could only be purchased online and not directly from the venue. The venue isn't large and has stadium seating. I'm not sure if they were trying to freeze us out, but the AC was blowing full force in January. They sell snacks at the concession stand. The entrance is on the second floor, and street or garage parking is available.

Great for date night or anyone who enjoys orchestra or symphonies on an intimate scale. Any seat is great no matter where because of the stadium seating. However, people behind us were carrying on a conversation during the performance, which was extremely rude and took away from the experience. Honestly, if you want to socialize, please do so at an appropriate place (preferably at your home or the lobby) and not during the performance. It's extremely rude and people pay to experience the concert, NOT your conversation. Great experience minus the rude conversation behind us.. where is the manners!!!

The staff were friendly as we checked in and found our seats, and the Green Room bar is a nice touch if you'd like to enjoy a beverage during the performance. As for the show--Gaslight--I was genuinely impressed. The acting was superb, the set design captured the period beautifully, and the tension of the story was carried expertly by the cast. This classic psychological drama tells the story of Bella Manningham and her manipulative husband Jack, whose strange behavior slowly convinces Bella that she may be losing her sanity. Without giving away the mystery, the production builds suspense masterfully and delivers a powerful payoff that keeps the audience fully engaged. If you enjoy live theatre performed at a high level, The Little Theatre of Norfolk is well worth a visit. Not only will you enjoy a great evening of entertainment--you'll also be supporting a wonderful part of Norfolk's local arts community.

We had happily volunteered as ushers for many productions from plays to musicals and made it one of our favorite dates for several seasons. We always enjoyed the remarkable talent, time, and commitment this local theatre brings out to share with the community from the fantastic stage designs and sets to its diverse and talented casts of performers. The Green Room offers light refreshments for purchase and has fundraising raffles, too. It's a neat place to stop into during intermission, and you're now permitted to bring your beverage into the theatre now, as long as you're mindful to remove and dispose of your trash when leaving the theatre. The theatre's name might include the word little, but it has a large heart! Let's keep it clean! While we are big fans of Broadway in New York City, and have purchased season tickets to Broadway in Norfolk, the Little Theatre of Norfolk provides amazing shows and performances that we highly recommend. So, when a friend saw that LTN was offering 'In the Heights, A New Musical' by Lin-Manuel Miranda, we couldn't wait to join them for the show. It was their first time at LTN. We're all big fans of Lin-Manuel and this weekend's performance did not disappoint. We were moving to the beats and humming in our seats. The set designs were vivid and bright, and the lighting used on and off stage, along with the cast singing and dancing in the aisles were electric. Job well done LTN!
