Greenery, brick wall, and beautiful art, gives a comfy cozy feel to the restaurant. All around a great place to start your day! You grab a menu at the counter then go back up to order. Once you do, they bring out the food to you and refill your water glass as they are in between orders at the counter/bringing out food. I had the super chai and they noted that they don't add any milk or sweetener, so make sure to ask for it... which eventually I did, but by itself it undoubtably was a great tea! This and the crumbly scone with rhubarb chunks and butter on the side were amazing! The sandwich had a very thick and fresh slice of tomato and layers of fluffy egg. The Brioche French toast having extra crispy bits of batter, alongside the nut butter syrup.

Thank you for vegetables in a bath of creamy flavorful grits. Everything is so well done. Service is kind and attentive. Ambiance is calm and cute. Perfect, really. Kudos to the chef! Good work, Omaha, I'm always impressed when I visit and Kitchen Table is another to add to my list of great places to eat while here.

We came after a CWS game and they had specials available along with their regular menu. Our server was the kindest person and I loved talking with her! Since it wasn't too busy, the food was out quick and we had a choice of seating while watching the soccer game. We opted for piña coladas to drink, mine NA due to the drinks from the rest of the day (CWS hello), but Sam got his with rum and both were great! I loved all the coconutty flavor in it. We ordered the tripleta empanadillas, which were a special for CWS, normally they just have the tripleta sandwich. It was cheesy, crispy, and meaty. We got the Puerto Rican hot dogs, topped with beef, sautéed onions, sauerkraut, cheese, mayo ketchup, and crunchy potato sticks. So, so good and perfect for baseball season!! Sam got a PR tres leches cake for his birthday that day and I got fried cheese (queso frito) with guava sauce. We couldn't have liked anything more, it was all so good! They have fun events too, our server was telling us all about them, so check their socials for info!

Last minute change in plans led me to Elie's, and I'm so glad it worked out that way…read more It was a gray and windy day in Omaha, but as soon as I walked in the door of Elie's it was like stepping into a little slice of island life. The interior is bright, yet welcoming. The music is invigorating and uplifting. The mood was set and I couldn't wait to try out the food. While everything sounded tasty, I went with the tostones with shrimp and a guanabana drink. I arrived during lunch time on a Friday, so my food came out pretty quickly. The tostones were hot and crispy, the shrimp garlicky and juicy. The guanabana drink was sweet and the serving generous. Both definitely hit the spot. The service was great in the beginning, but there was a change in servers during my meal and they appeared to have forgotten about me. Closing out the bill took longer than I expected and felt like I waiting around to leave. Overall, I would consider returning since the food was really good and would recommend others to check this place out.
