We have been with Upcountry Property Services for 4 years and have always had great service. They have always sent reliable staff to clean our house and we are always pleased when we walk into our second home. Jeff is a great handyman and has done various jobs to help us out. Covid has been tough on everybody and a little understanding and kindness goes a long way. This company has always been accommodating in these trying times. I can't rate the service they may or may not provide because I never got that far. This company REACHED OUT TO ME on Facebook UNSOLICITED. I did not seek them out. So I arranged a time for them to come look at our property and give us an estimate for cleaning / turn around. They finally came out, a very professional, pleasant person looked around asked questions, answered some of our questions and left. A week later I got an email saying they would not be able to take us on as clients because they were busy. They contacted me. They came out to our home. At what point during this process did it become clear to them they were not going to be able to provide us service? So as a public service...don't bother. They are busy. read more

I tried their house cleaning services as well as lawn care. I requested a thorough cleaning and once completed, wanted a monthly cleaning afterwards. Although the did do a good job cleaning the 2 bathrooms, I was NOT at all happy with the first cleaning, cob webs, dusty furniture etc. When I complained they did return for a reduced fee and completed the job to my satisfaction. Won't be using them again for house cleaning. Now for the lawn care. Although I must give them credit for only billing me for cutting the lawn when necessary, at times the job was not done in a timely manner, leaving part of the lawn looking like it hadn't been cut in a month! Fall cleanup was a joke. They came with nothing other than a worker and a rake! Said the leaf blower was broken! I had to provide barrels for the leaves! I was NOT impressed with the shoddy work. Thank goodness for a wind storm, that did the rest of the job and I did the final cleanup myself. read more

I have used UpCountry Property twice, once for a deep cleaning and once for a "regular" cleaning. The deep cleaning was well done, and I have no complaints about the quality of work there. However, when the property was inspected, it was estimated to need 5-6 hours of cleaning; instead, I ultimately paid for 9 hours. UpCountry said this was due to "unanticipated" dead mice and droppings, but I was told of only two dead mice, and this was an opening-for-the-season cleaning. Certainly the mouse situation is common for a first-time seasonable cleaning in June and I was stunned that the actual cost was 50% higher than estimated. That is an enormous amount of variation. It was also due to the fact that there were supposed to be two cleaners sent; one was sick (which seems to be a perpetual problem, see below) and the other did not have time to finish the job. Even though she told me she thought she was within an hour of finishing, I ultimately paid for four more hours, with different people, and I don't know why that was. On the second occasion, again there were supposed to be two; but one was "hospitalized" and only one came. I had been quoted two people for two hours, 25 minutes -- which to me was a five-hour job. Instead, the one sent claimed to be "finished with the worklist" after 2 hours, 25 minutes cleaning alone. On inspection, we found the most superficial cleaning job I've ever had from anyone -- I sent pictures showing the sink wasn't cleaned, a toilet wasn't scrubbed, there was dirt in corners of the bathroom, the radiator still had dust on it, no product (like Pledge) had been used on furniture, etc. UpCountry was unable to offer a "reclean" because of too many employees reporting sick -- a familiar refrain. It did cut the bill in half but, frankly, though I paid it, the cleaning job wasn't even worth what I paid. 2:2 bad experiences. Won't use again. read more

We can't prove anything, but let's just say several hundred dollars of our stuff disappeared after the second time they cleaned. Nothing you'd call the cops for, but tons of food and toiletries. When we emailed to ask what might have happened we got what we felt was a rude, condescending reply that defended the thieves like: "what did we think would happen, leaving granola bars and advil in our home???". Other issues: 1) they said they would bring in a basket of snacks as a nice treat for potential renters but instead mostly filled the basket with items out of our cabinets, 2) they charge $35 to remove one bag of trash, and 3) while they said the would do laundry at the cabin, they didn't-- they took our laundry in town, charged us $10 extra, and then refused to return it. Right. We're done here. read more

This was probably the worst cleaning job I have experienced. The cleaner worked 1/2 the time contracted for and did 1/4 of the work, if that. Surfaces were not cleaned, toilet bowls not cleaned, porch floors swept but when you move a chair or other (movable outdoor) furniture, there is still pollen dust outlined by the chair, floors that the contract promised would be washed were not, bathroom floors clearly not cleaned, surface mold around bathroom cabinet--routine cleaning in country houses--not wiped off, and so forth. This company does not train or monitor their cleaners, skimps on time as well as work promised. I definitely recommend finding a different service. read more
