People were sitting at the bar, laughing/joking, working on their computers, and talking about music. It seems like this place has a great regular crowd--I was happy to observe and be apart of the environment. Jenny was our kava queen (bartender?) and was such a joy! Super knowledgeable and kind. She's a good little hooper too! It had been a while since we had kava but I feel like this time around was better for sure. Kava is definitely a bitter drink but there are ways to make it better. (In the photo it shows the starter kava with an orange slice.) We also got little s'mores kava shots which were super yummy! Only a little tail end of the bitterness but not much at all. I ordered the kava mix that has apple juice in it (I forgot the name, I apologize) which was pretty great too. At the end, make sure to throw a little water on the bottom to get the rest of the sediment/good stuff! Overall this was a cool experience. I definitely felt more relaxed and the corners of my mouth were numbed/tingly. Make sure you hydrate and don't be shy to ask what's what about kava. Enjoy!

**INITIAL REVIEW**…read more Even though I show much of my kava community support in the Space Coast primarily because I live there, I work in Stuart. Ergo on my "Fridays" (Sunday afternoons) when my work stint is done for the week, I like to relax with a nice, smooth kava mocktail, vibing with the locals. I also support local, too, so despite Stuart having a Kavasutra and Island Root Kava, I prefer to go here the local kava bar, Hava Kava. And I have to say, this place is pretty good when it comes to kava and kratom, plus the other things they have (like some semblance of a food menu and a unique community exclusive to Stuart). Though an address is provided, Hava Kava is located in Plantation Plaza, the same plaza that has the bowling alley and Ocean Republic Brewing. On the outside, Hava Kava probably has to fit in with plaza rules on how it looks, but you can tell you're in front of it thanks to all the handheld windmills in front of the store. Inside, Hava kava is a cozy space with numerous seating situations and an L-shaped bar at the northwest corner. Chloe was attentive and friendly as I tried their "Usual" which is a kava extract shot with cake creamer, and their kava latte, their iced chocolate drink with kava. Both were good. As somewhat of an added plus, Hava Kava also serves food. True it is microwavable bar food such as microwave pizza, microwave mozzie cheese sticks, and microwaveable chicken tenders, the fact there is such an option should be noted. Finally, the community. I know such is not directly associated with Hava Kava, but they earned their keep. On Fridays, many of the patrons that show up are delivery drivers who don't even live in Stuart. So in a way, brothers and sisters in arms as we show our support for the local mom n' pop kava bar over the corporate drone. And just so it is mentioned, Hava Kava only had one unisex restroom. It was clean enough. Ultimately, I want to give Hava Kava four-out-of-five stars for their review. If they are consistent with everything aforementioned or ever better in the future, I will update this review, granting them their fifth star for consistency.

I was recently there for a "flow night" which included great tunes and dozens of people spinning fire and dancing in the bar's dedicated outdoor space. Inside were a bunch of people making puzzles and playing board games together. I thought it was an awesome vibe. I go to kava places hoping for more than just a place to get a drink and I got it here. Game nights, karaoke nights, costume parties where they have extra costumes if you want to join but are unprepared. Crazy fun stuff. I read the other reviews before writing mine and id agree I didn't hear a single person in there talking politics and the tv they had on was playing music videos not news. And you know what, I love that. Everybody was friendly and nobody was getting in my face giving me their completely unsolicited opinion on what's wrong with our country. I felt like that was a bonus, not a bad thing. To each their own, and for me it's 5 stars for sure.

They do have two sizes of tables; 9 feet and 7 feet. They were using the 7 foot tables for their league. So we had to use a 9 foot table. Since we're not pool players it took us about an hour to play two games!! That was ok. The young lady at the front desk was very pleasant and knowledgeable. She also served us our beers. Beer was $7 for a pint of bud light, and to play pool it's $7 an hour per person. Walking into a pool hall might be a bit intimidating. Not this place. It was very quiet, clean, and professionally run. We would definitely go back.

This may or may not work well depending on your viewpoint, but if you're looking for a place to go hide for an hour or three it's an ideal location. As others have said, this is a no doubt about it dive bar. And interesting mix of patrons and your average standard bartender dude who always seems to be there and makes good drinks. No pretentiousness at Harper's, or frilly drinks. Another fun fact: you can smoke there, so if you are one of those people who don't like smoke or smokers this is definitely not the place for you. Physical size of the place is actually pretty good, and the bathrooms are clean, There are plenty of stools at the bar... combined with relatively cheap drinks that are well made and you have, in my opinion, a great little place to hide away or hang out or whatever. This isn't my normal type of bar but I'm always down to try something new. The bartender was very attentive! She also made a delicious Bloody Mary! We also had what I know as a Chicago handshake which is a shot of rye and a Miller lite. There is smoking in this bar, but they do an awesome job of keeping it ventilated, which i appreciate very much. If you are in the area, check this place out! They also have darts and pool!
