Well I called at 7pm and they said yes but when I pulled up at 7:30 it wasn't open. I was pissed and swore never to come back. But then my hookah craving started to grow and I decided to give it a try. I am glad I did because I love this place. It's convenient for me and the hookah is great! It's hard to find good hookah especially in PSL where it doesn't seem to be a thing. The bartender is so sweet and always pleasant to me when I come and the owner is also good vibes! I came on a Thursday one night and the bartender Informed it was gay night and there was gonna be a drag show. Well- I was ecstatic. It wasn't a crazy long or extravagant show but the entertainers were amazing and since then I have been going every other Thursday when they perform. They also have a pool table so that's cool if it isn't packed which it was 2 times I went which was on a Friday and Saturday after 9pm. The prices are also great! They don't have name brand liquor but they do have a great selection of beer including white claw.

Parking lot had a fair amount of cars for 2pm on a Sunday afternoon. Walking in, it smells like a bar from the 80s. Beer and cigarette smoke. Not a fan of cigarettes but in the Dive Bar category, that's a staple. Friendly bartender greeted us and set me up with an ice cold PBR and a Bud Light for my wife. (Always order cans and bottles at these places). Amazing cast of regulars having fun convos and chatting us up as well. There was some kind of unofficial buffet (not sure if we crashed a party). We didn't eat but I don't think anyone would question if we did. Wild decorations and despite the dive vibe, we felt very safe and welcome. Only stayed for two drinks. Off street parking. People were sitting at the bar, laughing/joking, working on their computers, and talking about music. It seems like this place has a great regular crowd--I was happy to observe and be apart of the environment. Jenny was our kava queen (bartender?) and was such a joy! Super knowledgeable and kind. She's a good little hooper too! It had been a while since we had kava but I feel like this time around was better for sure. Kava is definitely a bitter drink but there are ways to make it better. (In the photo it shows the starter kava with an orange slice.) We also got little s'mores kava shots which were super yummy! Only a little tail end of the bitterness but not much at all. I ordered the kava mix that has apple juice in it (I forgot the name, I apologize) which was pretty great too. At the end, make sure to throw a little water on the bottom to get the rest of the sediment/good stuff! Overall this was a cool experience. I definitely felt more relaxed and the corners of my mouth were numbed/tingly. Make sure you hydrate and don't be shy to ask what's what about kava. Enjoy!

Ergo on my "Fridays" (Sunday afternoons) when my work stint is done for the week, I like to relax with a nice, smooth kava mocktail, vibing with the locals. I also support local, too, so despite Stuart having a Kavasutra and Island Root Kava, I prefer to go here the local kava bar, Hava Kava. And I have to say, this place is pretty good when it comes to kava and kratom, plus the other things they have (like some semblance of a food menu and a unique community exclusive to Stuart). Though an address is provided, Hava Kava is located in Plantation Plaza, the same plaza that has the bowling alley and Ocean Republic Brewing. On the outside, Hava Kava probably has to fit in with plaza rules on how it looks, but you can tell you're in front of it thanks to all the handheld windmills in front of the store. Inside, Hava kava is a cozy space with numerous seating situations and an L-shaped bar at the northwest corner. Chloe was attentive and friendly as I tried their "Usual" which is a kava extract shot with cake creamer, and their kava latte, their iced chocolate drink with kava. Both were good. As somewhat of an added plus, Hava Kava also serves food. True it is microwavable bar food such as microwave pizza, microwave mozzie cheese sticks, and microwaveable chicken tenders, the fact there is such an option should be noted. Finally, the community. I know such is not directly associated with Hava Kava, but they earned their keep. On Fridays, many of the patrons that show up are delivery drivers who don't even live in Stuart. So in a way, brothers and sisters in arms as we show our support for the local mom n' pop kava bar over the corporate drone. And just so it is mentioned, Hava Kava only had one unisex restroom. It was clean enough. Ultimately, I want to give Hava Kava four-out-of-five stars for their review. If they are consistent with everything aforementioned or ever better in the future, I will update this review, granting them their fifth star for consistency.

I read the other reviews before writing mine and id agree I didn't hear a single person in there talking politics and the tv they had on was playing music videos not news. And you know what, I love that. Everybody was friendly and nobody was getting in my face giving me their completely unsolicited opinion on what's wrong with our country. Beer was $7 for a pint of bud light, and to play pool it's $7 an hour per person. Walking into a pool hall might be a bit intimidating. Not this place.
