If you want to spend your day sitting around for this "master plumber", hire this guy. He said he would show up Monday and he never came. He never answered any of my texts during the day and he never called. I am so tired of "professionals" thinking their time is worth more than mine. read more

I contacted Tyler with Up North Plumbing on 10/09/2024 to schedule an appointment to replace the faulty shower valve in my master bathroom. Tyler reached back out to me and scheduled the appointment for 10/17. At that time I asked Tyler if he could replace the shut-valves in the kitchen that I just found were also faulty while doing kitchen upgrades. Tyler arrived the morning on the 17th and I showed him the areas needing repair and I also mentioned replacing the water valves to the washing machine but that repair was not time sensitive and can be done later. Tyler then walked over to my main water line and asked if the condition of the line was brought up on the home inspection and I said no issues were brought up. Tyler told me that was unfortunate and that it needs to be replaced and that he has seen faulty water lines cause so much flooding that it comes out of the basement windows. I took Tyler's recommendation and scheduled the repairs for Sunday 10/20. After completing the water line replacement Tyler requested payment and I reminded him of the other repairs. Tyler advised that he didn't have time that day for the remaining repairs and he would be back later that week to complete. I know Tyler may be busy and I waited until 11/13 after not hearing back from him. At that time I also told Tyler that I found that one of the toilets was running and I could not shut the water off since I just found that the toilet valve is also faulty and needs to be replaced (I just bought this house and keep finding new issues that need repairs). Tyler responded the same day and said he will be here the next week. Tyler never showed up or called that next week. I reached back out to Tyler again on 11/25 as a reminder and he never responded. At this point I tried again to reach out to other plumbers in the area since I was losing confidence in Tyler and found that other reputable plumbers were not accepting new customers or would not return my call. At this point I was pretty desperate since the toilet was running at 10 gallons of water per hour and decided to reach out to Tyler one last time on 12/11. Tyler apologized and said he will be here on 12/13. Tyler reached out to me on 12/12 asking me to remind him of what repairs were needed and I reminded him. Tyler never showed up or called me nor did he respond to my text later on that afternoon. I have since found a great plumber and I regret my decision to follow Tyler's recommendation on the water line replacement without getting a second opinion. read more
