I am a tenant at a rental they performed work at. Don't expect them to respect any aspect of your privacy or schedule. They don't like to and will not communicate with you at all. They will show up completely unannounced, refuse to communicate with you if you call to ask questions. When the owner does finally talk to you, you'll get the message you should be thankful they decided to do any work for you at all. And no, in my opinion, the owner of the property wasn't treated much better. read more

Do not hire this company! They have done extensive work on my house more than a few times over the course of years. The owner is rude and very unprofessional. The young skinny guy with the glasses is rude and unprofessional. Probably the owner's son. When it came to scheduling. The owner was completely rude and impatient. Then he asked if I was the tenant, because they like to treat tenants like second class citizens. Previously a couple years back the same kid with the glasses tried to walk past my wife through our front door when she answered it. He said who he was and then just tried to walk in past her not even waiting for her to get out of the way trying to force her out of the way basically. another time while 1 person was working on the central heating and Air he was sitting on our Christmas tree in the box smashing the box in. The owner said they would be here at 9am. 9:15 rolls around and I call for an update which I shouldn't have had to do, and they said they would be here in a couple minutes. 25 minutes later they show up. I explain how the owner was rude they called the owner and the owner told them to leave. Which is great, because they don't deserve the business. I have dealt with the other HVAC companies in town, and none of them were unprofessional like this. My recommendation is to go with any other company. They all got great reviews from me! read more

I am a property owner/landlord in Clarkston, WA. I purchased a property in November or 2020 with the intention of renovating it for a rental. I hired Up The Creek Heating and Air to do the work. The property is such that the furnace/ac is in the attic. There has been a unit in the attic for decades but it was time for a new one. The installation was finished in December of 2020. It worked fine until the hot weather set in, summer 2021, and the ac was used. There appeared a water leak coming through the ceiling and dripping onto the carpet. I notified Up The Creek of the problem. A technician was sent out but could not find the source of the leak and he suggested that the filter was not being changed often enough. His suggestion was noted but the problem persisted. Finally Kevin from Up The Creek came out. He spent a considerable amount of time poking around but he could not find the source of the leak and again suggested that the filter change was the problem or perhaps wasps had built a nest in the tube that drains to the outside. Kevin then pulled $60 from his wallet so that I could buy paint to cover the stain in the ceiling tiles. I did that. Fast forward to summer 2022. The hot weather set in, the ac was used and again a water leak appeared in the exact spot as the previous year. I took two measurements in the living room and two in the attic and it took me 10 minutes to find the leak. I would say that is not bad for a 70 year old amateur. I again called Up The Creek but at this point their 1 year warranty had expired. They told me that it would be the following week before they could get a technician out. That was unacceptable so I called Kinzer Air and they were able to come out right away. Their technician soon determined that the unit had not been leveled upon installation causing the condensate to flow away from the drain and accumulate on the opposite side of the unit and eventually leak out. Also we found that the large drain pan under the unit had been mis- aligned such that the dripping was not contained hence the leak on to my carpet. These findings are in my opinion caused by careless work. I helped the Kinzer Air technician lift the unit so we could level it with shims and so that we could properly align the large drain pan under the unit. I took pictures of my findings and sent them to Up The Creek along with a copy of the Kinzer Air bill of $135.25. I suggested that it would be nice if they could reimburse me for that amount since they could not find and fix the problem while it was still under warranty. I never heard back from them so this review is my response. My impression is that they take no pride in their work. I regret hiring them. read more
