Most days you'll find me hanging out in this "mall"…read more I add parentheses because it's not a) lit with fluorescent bulbs b) full of teenagers or c) packed with chain stores. In fact, it's a lovely open air thoroughfare lined with quaint / useful / delicious stuff. First there's the ALL DAY BREAKFAST at Uncle Albert's Cafe (I stand by the all caps excitement); then there's the local Coles, which I actually like and they know us there; then there's coffee and baked goods; gifts; magazines and books; and a travel agent if you want to book an impromptu trip to Paris while on a sugar high. Ahem. Yeah. Nice!

Norwood Mall is located just opposite Cibo's on the parade, right next to Dillon's. First of all,…read moreif you don't find a parking space on the side of the road, there's heaps at the back of Norwood Mall. There's a rather small Coles in here and a random mix of other shops like souvenir and gift shops, chocolate shops, a newsagents, a dry cleaner etc. My favourite place is the greengrocer right at the entrance (when you come to the Parade). They often have great deals and better prices than supermarkets, plus all their fruit and veggies are really fresh. If you continue walking you'll find a great fresh pasta shop on your left, followed by a nice little gift shop that sells things like candles, soaps, cards etc. Another tip is the newsagents in the middle of Norwood Mall; they usually have a large table outside with heaps of books that are hugely discounted. Worth having a look at!

Ok, carpark review... you must be thinking... "oh how boring!" Well, no it isn't. We all use them…read moreand I know that you want to know where all the cheap ones are. Yup, this is cheap one for after-hours. Uparks have always been my go to in the CBD. As I have said in previous reviews, I choose to park here as the Adelaide City Council owns them and the money goes back to the city rather than a private company. This car park has great afterhour rates. As of the date of this review you can park here after hours for $7 flat fee: Mon - Thurs 4pm - 6am Fri 4pm - 12am Sat - 12am - Sun 12am Sun - 12am - Mon 6am It is not centrally located in the CBD, but really doesn't take that long to walk up either Currie or Hindley street to hit King William. Oh, do note that you will need to enter this carpark from the Morphett Street Entry. So, go around Light Square if you need to manoeuvre. The car parks are well spaced, but this is only a one story car park. So it does fill up quite fast. Worth checking for a space though due to the rates. Just a little heads up for the ladies parking here. Bring a friend with you when you park here at night. I have sometimes seen some interesting characters sheltering in here. I've never had any trouble, but better be safe! Apart from that, I park here very regularly and do recommend it as a cheap option if you are hitting down during the night!

Enter/Exit North-east corner of Light Square. This carpark is in close proximity to: Currie Street - Ideal location for students and city visitors. Light Square - Easy access to several entertainment venues. Hindley Street - Experience Adelaide's nightlife.
