They were sure to check on me and my progress and helped me sign up for future discounts. I think it's definitely worth the drive to come if you're having a hard time finding a specialty brand or niche supply. They carry everything you can think of. This merger saved 1,700 jobs and a number of stores. This place has a lot to offer for just about any occasion. I do like the gift wrapping station offered in the store. Comes in handy should one be bringing a gift(s) to some in this shopping area...or anywhere else for that matter. The staff members seemed happy without any fake smiles. The ambience felt good as well. Selections for Christmas items this time of year were at an all time high. The prices for all the merchandise were pretty fair too. The owner is a lovely lady who keeps limited hours making it worth your while to schedule an outing here. She offers a number of frankly unprecedented shopper discounts and loyalty perks. The store itself is off the main street and not in a place for walkin patronage. Rather it is a little gem tucked in with seemingly a very loyal clientele. My friend and I made a special trip here and regular customers were stopping in throughout our visit. The store is full of wonderful paper products from all over the world. I purchased papers from Germany, Japan and Hungary to name a few of the lovely, artistic and unusual papers . The shop carries many current and popular brands usually available only on line. The shop also carries many items for altered art projects and paper crafting , metal dies, stamps, inks, and mixed media. There is a small well stocked classroom where classes in various techniques are generally held on alternate Saturdays. The staff is always friendly and helpul. I like the member discounts too. I'd go with five stars for Plaza but for two li'l reasons I'll stick with 4: - they don't stock Staedler graphite pencils, and I just can't do General graphites. - some of the colors of Holbein gouache paint have been out of stock for a while. In all fairness, this might be because these Holbeins aren't currently available from Plaza's distributor. But I keep coming back!

For professional artists, this store has everything you could ever want but I found the store just as enchanting as a casual browser. I especially loved all the unique craft kits that allow children to make everything from mini food to erasers to galaxies. As a stationary lover, I was impressed with their Japanese notebook and pen selection, as well as cute kawaii accessories like a leather cat pencil case which is now my daughter's most treasured possession. The store was clean and the workers were friendly. I'll definitely be back the next time I am in the area!
