Have been to this studio for workshops and classes over the past 10 years. Came in today since I got a free birthday class email. The person at the front desk informed me that my birthday is in February, and it is now March (no way!) I showed the email that said 30 days expiration that was sent on February 21st. Not a great way to start a yoga class when you already don't feel welcomed from the start. The class was good, but unexpectedly the teacher trainer was observing the yoga teachers in training. They had to randomly start teaching part of the sun A. I wish it was explained that was going to happen prior to the class & would've loved to support new teachers. Overall felt confused. read more

The studio was nicely decorated and clean. As a new client, I did have an issue upfront about the 5 for $15 (as it's only for ONE studio so beware of that) but the owner was nice and provided further insight. The instructor was ok although did not talk to me before or after class as a person new to the studio. Did break a nice sweat though! read more

The yoga instructors at updog are considerate and accommodating to every level. Unfortunately the rest cannot be said for the management. They have a repeated history of backcharging and posting unpaid classes. Although every class has to be paid for prior to attending, they were still unable to explain why system had unpaid classes when prompted. Extremely underwhelmed by Updog yoga. I've been to many fitness centers and yoga studios and as a new person, I'm usually treated welcomingly. Here however, I was not. Went in for my first class, and was not greeted by the instructor (only about ten people in class, so it's not like she didn't see me( nor did she talk to me afterward. The front desk staff was snippy. When asked if I wanted to do the free class or the 5 classes for $15, I inquired if I could do both (can't know unless you try), I was literally met with an eye roll. Lastly, I forgot my yoga mat at home, so I asked I could use one of theirs. Which they said yes, but it was a $1 rental fee. Seriously? What type of yoga studio rents their mats? Overall, skip this place. There are many other local yoga studios which will treat you with love and kindness. read more

At first glance this place is exactly what you would hope from a yoga studio. A beautiful place with a cozy, welcoming vibe as you walk in. The more experienced instructors are knowledgeable, articulate and confident. Be careful, though. This place has questionable ethics. My friend and I bought a 5 class pack to see what we thought about the studio before we locked in for one of the larger commitments. All was well at first. We were not informed of the expiration policy, though it was the very last line of the fine print disclosure on the flyer. It definitely should have been verbally reiterated at some point during the initial payment process. Our mistake. So, not being aware we came in for our 3/5 class like any other Saturday. Signed in, chatted with the lady at the desk and then made our way into the studio space. After our class, we were getting ready to leave when we were held up and demanded to pay a drop in fee because our class pack had expired. May I repeat... AFTER the class!! Their mistake for not bringing this to our attention prior to the end of class. Totally unprofessional and unforgivable. Our decision to opt out of the $20 fee and leave was completely stripped from us in the most violating and deceitful way. We were both appalled at the way this was handled and will not be returning. I would not recommend this place to students or younger adults. The classes were on par with any of the fitness clubs in the area for 3-5x the price. No one even smiles there! While the establishment cant control the guests that patronize their business, the location certainly draws in a specific crowd. Snappy, rude older women who act as ruthless gatekeepers. That said, the men that attend classes there are very sweet, focused and pose no issues. All in all, my experience made me feel as though this studio is a money grab under the guise of enlightenment and relaxation. read more

I really want to like this place very cute from the outside . Unfortunately the actual classes are very underwhelming.. The teachers all seem like substitutes that would rather be somewhere else. I went to many workshops the past few years they have gotten worse ..I was actually at a glow yoga class where the teacher started laughing with a student and ignored the class for a solid 10 minutes . hard pass don't waste your money read more

My favorite local yoga studio that has s so much more than yoga classes. Jill is wonderful, her staff makes everyone feel welcome, the community is friendly and everyone will feel comfortable and feel connected. There is a beautiful little store for purchasing healing stones, books, jewelry, and more. I especially love the many workshops offered each month. read more

Very knowledgeable instructors. Even going here for the 5 for $15 intro deal (which is a very generous offer), I learned so much that I never learned from other studios. Great yoga studio with a perfect welcoming environment! Great class today with Maria who is the hardest working yoga instructor I've ever seen! I do not recommend this yoga studio. I recently moved to the area so thought that I would try out their first class free. When I came in there was obviously a sales pitch to purchase five classes for $15 but I was not interested because I always like to try out yoga studios first to make sure it's the environment that is best for me to practice in. When I kept saying that I just wanted to do the first class free, it was still just constant pressuring. But that was really the least of the issues with the studio. During the class, the owner of the studio was the one teaching and made comments in a rude way saying that me and another student were doing the poses incorrectly. I'm all about getting feedback to improve my yoga poses but it was done in a way where it was extremely rude. The instructor then said to do it again because we were doing it wrong and called us out in a condescending manner. Later on in the class she introduced to a pose that I had never experienced before. I asked her if she could show it to me again. She replied back that she just got done showing me and implied I wasn't paying attention. I was so happy that this class was over with and also thankful that I did not purchase anything because this is definitely not the yoga environment that anyone should be practicing in. One thing that I love about yoga is how it is such a welcoming space that recognizes all ability levels. This yoga studio was anything but. I was shocked later on to find that the instructor (Jill) teaching the class was the owner. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. There are so many other yoga studios in the area that are way more inviting and welcoming. read more

The moment I walk into Updog yoga I am instantly relaxed. I know that my yoga practice is in good hands with the amazing teachers they have. The welcoming scents of oils defusing puts my mind at ease and ready for that time on my mat. I also had an amazing life changing experience during the 200RYT teacher training I went through this past spring. I recommend this place to everyone looking for a great yoga experience. This is one of my favorite places. read more

Updog Yoga studio is where I achieve my "bliss"! I Love the studio. It is a beautiful space to practice yoga & the energy is wonderful. You immediately feel welcomed upon arrival, the teachers are very knowledgeable & there is a nice variety of classes as well as workshops that you can participate in. The practice room is special with the skylights, prisms and hanging crystals. There is an awesome boutique too, which is a bonus! read more

I've been practice yoga for nearly 3 years and have been to several yoga studios during that time. Feel I have found "home" with UpDog Yoga studio. I began practicing there about 6 months ago. Thought I would give it a try as it was under new ownership. The studio is lovely! Teachers are experienced and knowledgeable, the energy is positive and beautiful, the practice room is large and the room has natural lighting thanks to it's skylights! UpDog offers a variety of clothing, mats, oils and an absolutely amazing array of beautiful crystals among other miscellaneous items. I am greeted with a smile each time I walk in the door and it is kept very clean. Just love the new direction this studio is moving in!!! read more

I placed my $200 deposit to take the Yoga Instructor Course and became ill, requiring major surgery. Duane refused to refund my deposit, as it is "non-refundable." He had no compassion regarding my unique situation, even after I explained the details (although the employee I talked to initially regarding a refund did think he would refund the deposit when he learned the specifics of the situation.) I am a student & do not have $200 to lose. Very disappointed in his lack of compassion. It feels contradictory to what yoga embodies. read more

Great community atmosphere! The Yin Yoga at Updog is the best in the metro area. I was so relaxed yet full of energy afterwards.
