I had started working at a job that was not fulfilling my wants and needs and was stuck in a bad cycle of believing that was the best job I could get and deserved to get. I had just gotten out of yet another unsuccessful relationship that had early promises of a future, but red flags kept appearing and instead of running for the hills, I had stayed with it thinking I could "change" it. I was about to turn 30 years old and was completely fed up of feeling lost. I had been to therapy throughout my entire life and never felt like it had done any good. I had heard of life coaches, but wasn't quite sure what they were or what they did. I started doing some research online and Megan stood out to me immediately. She had a warm and inviting smile in her photo on her website and I truly enjoyed reading what she had to say. Not only was her website bright and happy, but the content was exactly what I was looking for. After 20 minutes of clicking through her site and reading previous reviews of Megan's coaching style, I decided to schedule my free consultation. Megan called me and we had such an amazing chat. She had me answer a few questions that really got the conversation started and allowed her to decide if she could help me get out of my funk. At the end of our conversation, I knew this was the next step for me. Megan gave me hope that there was a better life that I had yet to live. Payment became no issue at that point. I considered it my 30th birthday present to myself; the best gift I could ever give myself. And our six month journey began. Within the first month of working with Megan, I had joined a dating website and learned the right ways to approach dating and starting a relationship. I met the man of my dreams. He had everything I had ever imagined I would want in a partner and more. They do exist, I promise! Within three months of working with Megan, I had moved on from my boring job and started looking for what I really wanted to do. She claims to be an expert tax advisory firm who has "a team" that works specifically with therapists. Unfortunately, I learned that this team is completely made up of AI responses and only Nisha herself. What upset me most was that I expected Nisha to be the expert and instead found myself having to correct her work and insist that she re-evaluate her recommendation so that it would be in accordance with CA state law. In all, I did not feel comfortable moving forward at the end of the year and terminated my working relationship with Nisha. Upon, working with another organization I also found out that the quarterly estimates that I was provided were incorrect and I ended up also owing underpayment fees. Nisha herself was responsive and may have been doing her best. However, it was poor quality work and led to a lot of unnecessary stress. If you are a private practice owner like myself, I know your practice is your baby. Therefore, I'd look elsewhere for support with your business to ensure that you are being taken care of with the utmost expertise and support.
