We needed to have two wingback chairs recovered. After doing some research, we contacted Uplift Upholstery. We sent them pictures of the chairs and they promptly responded with a quote and told us how many yards of fabric to get. The quote was very reasonable so we decided to use them. They did a home visit to look at the chairs, and, after looking at our fabric, told us how they thought the fabric should be placed on the chairs. We agreed with their recommendations so they took the chairs and the fabric to their shop. We got the chairs back in a timely fashion. They were delivered yesterday evening and they are absolutely stunning! We couldn't be happier with the craftsmanship and the look of the chairs. I have a Restoration Hardware couch that my large dogs have destroyed the fabric of. I highly recommend this company and its work. I had a couch pillow zipper that my dog decided to use as a chew toy. Luckily, my dog destroyed the zipper and not the pillow. I contacted a few upholstery repair companies in the area, and Uplift Upholstery was the first to respond. He was in his shop for the day and told me to bring the pillow anytime. After getting estimates for outdoor cushions from 3 businesses we decided to go with Uplift. Bob and Cynthia, the owners were gregarious and knowledgeable and their prices and materials were competitive and of good quality. We visited their shop to look at samples and they spent time with us showing the insert materials they use. Bob came out at a later date to measure our seating wall. All interactions went seamlessly. Once the cushions were completed Cynthia and associate delivered them. We were largely pleased with the finished product, the measurements were accurate and the cushions fit nicely and are also comfortable. I was a bit disappointed with the lumbar pillows as I was expecting them to be much bigger. I think something was lost in translation as we spoke about the size of some cushions that were on our other patio furniture and of measurements. All in all the experience with the shop was positive so I Will recommend to others. read more

Professional, Helpful, Courteous, and Knowledgable. This is how I felt after meeting and working with Bob and his staff. During a recent storm, the high winds broke the zipper on our 5th wheel cover, so my wife reviewed the Reno area upholstery businesses, then called and spoke with Bob. I decided to drive to the shop and meet with Bob, so he could view the cover and zipper. He promptly told me of the zipper type and that he would order the replacement, then call me so I could come back for the repair. Bob did call me back a couple of days later and asked me to come in that day, which I did, with the cover, and when I arrived, he and the staff, stopped what they were doing and they all pitched in to complete the repair. I noticed some boat repair work and some dining room chair repair work too - both of which I asked Bob about and he explained to me what he does, how he does it, and why he chooses specific marine material. So, this simple 5th wheel cover repair job is now snow-balling into 3 more jobs: a boat cover update, a houseboat roof canopy job, and 8 dining room chair seat recovering/foam replacement...
