We picked this shop because of the stellar reviews. I talked to the owner, agreed on a price and timeframe. A two week job turned out to be 2 months. When I finally got them back, the job was poorly done. I asked about the unacceptable job, he basically told me I didn't know what I was talking about. Prior to dropping off the seats I explained in detail what I needed. I had already purchased the frames, new foam, and sewn seat covers from corvette central. All he needed to do was to hog ring the covers to the frame. I would never recommend this shop. read more

I checked several auto interior shops from Bishop to Sparks and spoke to their employees. The only shop whose employee seemed to understand and willing to do the repair was Denison Auto Interiors. They were able to complete the repair in less time than expected and reduced the charges accordingly. I am a perfectionist and required that the finish product be as good as new. They exceeded my expectations. I spoke to both the owner and employee stating how pleased I was with their professionalism. Awesome work! Went in late last week to have my middle console kid recovered. Shopped around and got a few quotes and ultimately decided to go with Josh. He called me a few days later, explained that he could bandaid fix it or rebuild the frame for more integrity. After getting it rebuilt, I am very happy. Overall, they did a great job. Great pricing. They literally underbid many other places by $300 and Mark was very personable and informative about the process, how long it should take and that if there was anything unexpected to come up that it could take over night. So he definitely set clear expectations of what's to come. They are booked out about three weeks but that's probably because they do a good job and charge a fair price. Denison Custom Auto Upholstery is locally owned. The shop is located in Sparks. I was referred there by the owner of Preferred Auto. That was my second time doing business with Denison's. The first time was a worn-out area on the side of the driver's seat of my truck. I went there with the mindset that they would have to reupholster my seat. Honest as they are and consumer-friendly, they advise me that there was enough fabric there to pinch the fabric together and stitch it up. Thanks to them the cost was minimal and it lasted approximately 2 years. I decided to keep my 10 year old truck and I need them to work on the same seat as the tear had reopened.They quoted me a price including several less expensive options. I just had to match the upholstery up and that was my request to Denison's. They gave me a date to bring my truck in to have the seat reupholstered. I took my truck in, they showed me what they were going to install in my truck and it was the same material for the seat. Three hours later when I went to settle the account and pick up my truck, they advised me that to install the seat was not as laborious as they believe it was going to be and my bill was slightly over $100 less. Honesty, integrity, decent reputation goes a long way with consumers and the future goodwill caused by a reputable local business will surely translate into more customers wanting to do business there. I have a 2002 Dodge truck with a torn front seat cushion but was unable to find a matching OEM seat cover due to it's age. I read the other reviews on Yelp about Denison and figured it's worth a try. They also made a custom console lid to match my dark graphite leather with orange stitching interior. I love the interior of my truck again! Denison does exceptional work. My Ford Falcon (which I'm in the process of restoring) needed a new headliner, so I started searching around for a good upholstery place in the Reno area. I called their shop and the owner was very polite and knowledgeable, inviting me to come by so we could discuss the project. Their family-owned business was just the type of place I was looking for. The owner estimated what it would cost, and it was in line with what I thought, so I went with them. The headliner looks flawless. On top of that, they went the extra mile and bleached my sun-visors (which were very dull), re-painted my sun-visor bracket assemblies, put new vinyl on my rear deck, and put foam in the driver's seat where it is badly deteriorated.
