I cannot recommend this course enough for anyone looking to take the PMP exam. Specifically the…read moreinstructor, Stephen Hoogerwerf. I don't know if you can request instructors but if you can, you need to get in his class. It's not easy to make 35 hours of class work crammed into 4 days interesting and engaging, but he did so with ease. I took the mock exam two days later, having done no extra studying, and I couldn't believe how well I scored just based on the class learning alone. He teaches in a way that makes the course material stick in your mind, even when you don't think it is. As I continue my self-study before the scheduled exam, I find myself referencing the notes from the class far more than the PMI books. Truly, a 10/10 experience, and if I seek out any more certifications I'll be checking to see if he is instructing any of them so I can sign up for his classes.

Thanks to his expert guidance and real world examples, I was able to understand the material and remember it afterwards and PASS my PMP exam on the first attempt! Project Management Academy provided lots of materials including practice exams which I highly recommend taking. This required a lot of effort, but they prepared me well. I highly recommend PMA if you are preparing for the PMP certification.

I hope the one star says it all. It earned me a certificate. But I can't say I learned anything…read more Inefficient, unstructured and though instructor Aaron was seemingly a nice guy, he was a horrible organizer and instructor. I got through it because by law, he had to keep us for 8 hrs. For $39 Groupon deal..I guess I shouldn't ask for much. -Aaron (self proclaimed president of the company) is always late. He's charming but it masks the truth. Car breaks down often. Will try to sell you on us law shield etc. claims to have had 12K students. Doesn't cover much of the important topics. "You need to read the attorney generals policy on ccw..". He fails to even go over it with his "students". Aaron will never know how many students will show up. Class is ill prepared and half assed. My advice ..Just go get this half assed class, get your certificate and go practice elsewhere.

The hotel did not have a conference room scheduled for us. Nothing was booked. (The hotel staff was amazing trying to work this out). When the instructor finally let the 12 clients know he wasn't coming we got a lame excuse about his car breaking down. So they posted a class, took the money, didn't book a facility and didn't show up. Definition of fraud. We are supposed to be contacted Monday.... maybe more later Update: Got up today 7/8/17 for another class. Confirmed with the instructor last week it was on. Called the hotel last night to confirm. Just got a text class is cancelled because of the hotel.

This is a STEM school. I've been able to get in here to substitute teach, and I love it! The…read morestudents are highly encouraged to use their creative juices - a lot of writing assignments, group projects, etc. This school uses computers for most all assignments. It is a rather small "school" - students spend the day in a once-used office building. All the teachers are great here, too! I'm glad I get the chance to interact while here.

This year was my first year at Metro and will also be my last. I will be a sophomore next fall, but…read moremy freshman year here at Metro was like hell. For background, Metro is a STEM school that also pushes a very strict mastery agenda. You need to have a 90+ on all assignments to be considered passed with them. If not, you must remediate asap. My experience, as I said, was hell. One of the things I noticed, is that they do absolutely nothing about bullies and people saying slurs. I had this one kid on my class, constantly saying the n word and the f slur. Nobody did anything, they just scolded him and loved on. The school does nothing but maybe give them a suspension, even if it's a repeated instance. As someone who suffers from anxiety and depression, this is not definitely the school for me, and might not be the school for your child either if they suffer from chronic anxiety/depression aswell. Deadlines are deadlines at Metro, even with my 504, I would only get an extra day to turn assignments in. I understand they can't give me a week, but my teachers wouldn't even care for my 504. I was supposed to get guided notes, only got 1 packet out of the two teachers I was supposed to get them from in my second semester. If you cannot keep up with getting all A's and turning work in on time, I would NOT recommend Metro. I would also say's Metro worsened my anxiety. I had a lot of things going on outside of school aswell, and everything between that and the school got so bad I had to get on antidepressants antidepressant. I had friends who suffered from chronic illnesses, and they would have piles of work to do when they got back. If your child is apart of the LGBTQIA community, they WILL get bullied. I had a trans friend and he would constantly get called by his deadname and the same guys would constantly ignore his pronouns. There is also another trans student and she constantly got made fun of and talked about behind her back. I practically had no free time outside of school, it was all studying and homework. Sometimes on weekends I'd also have homework. Over the summer, before your child joins high school, they have to do a research project. Made absolutely no sense to me. The bathrooms, disgusting. I've heard stories form the boys bathroom, pee all over the walls. The girls bathroom, bloody tampons, pads, shit in the toilets. It may be the #1 STEM school, but that does not mean it is good. Please do further readership and read more reviews. I would only send my child here if I truly knew they could keep up. If I could, I would definitely give it a 0 star rating.
