We were able to make a reservation ahead of time and they had our table all set up when we arrived. The owner and one of the employees were so welcoming, and they gave us a quick overview of where to find everything. They have tons of pottery pieces to pick from and the prices of each piece are labeled on the shelf. You pick what you want to paint and away you go! They had tons of supplies - brushes, paints, stencils, stamps, etc. We had coffees from across the street and were able to bring those in. Music was great and just added to the overall experience. When you are done, you turn your pieces in for firing and they give you a pickup date for the finished product about 14 days out (currently). I am excited to see how our artwork turned out.

Upper Arlington's department of Lifelong Learning (a division of the city's Parks and Recreation…read moredepartment) is a great way to explore a whole gamut of adult, self-enrichment. I currently teach armchair travel and history seminars for Lifelong Learning, but have also taken a bunch of different classes through this program, including yoga, pottery, craft and cooking classes. The instructors are reputable professors, tradespeople and professionals within their industry. Prices vary depending on how many sessions are taught for the one class. A class like pottery will meet 7 or 8 times and the cost is around $100, whereas my one-class travel or history seminars only cost about $18-$20 for a 2-hour presentation. Cost is also based on whether or not you are a resident of Upper Arlington. The difference isn't very much for non-residents, but there is a slight price break for those who live in the neighborhood. If you want to explore your artistic side, drawing, photography, oil painting, watercolors, and craft classes are among the offerings. If you prefer something more physical, choose from a variety of fitness, meditation and dance courses. Each quarter also brings random "one-off" seminars focused on topics like speed reading, local history or political issues. Classes are offered year-round and catalogues come out every quarter. The classes are open to the public and you can register on line, via telephone or the sign-up form in the catalogue, which you can request be mailed to you.

FUNKY & UNIQUE pieces!…read more Found this gallery on my walk from the hotel to the restaurant strip and decided to stop in. The shop owner was staying late since it was a busy evening so I got to parooz and admire all the works of art. I really liked the layout of the gallery, was very mindfully laid out and not too packed but still enough pieces to keep you interested for quite a while. I liked that there was also a section of photography so that kind of gave the gallery some variety. There was also a nice variety of functional ceramic pieces along with some classic decor pieces and also some super funky and eclectic decor pieces! The owner mentioned they hold shows and rotate artists through monthly so that's super cool to keep the gallery interesting and worth frequent trips! Prices were high, as to be expected with any specialty art, but not insanely high. For someone wanting to purchase art I think the prices were reasonable and affordable to most people who want to prioritize a purchase on artwork. Great gallery and worth a stop!!!

We had a fun date night painting at Spaghetti Warehouse with Zachariah teaching us. He really took…read moretime with each person to make sure the painting was turning out well, even though the class was quite large! All the supplies are provided as well as a Paint Nite or Yaymaker apron to wear to protect your clothes. Some of the methods we used to paint meant our aprons weren't quite large enough, but fortunately we got the specks out of our clothes when we got home. This event did not include any food or drinks, but they are held at locations where you can purchase such items. We had an enjoyable time and would do it again!

As an artist, it's really difficult to find a printer that can reproduce my art accurately but Columbus Printed Arts Center far exceeded my expectations. Huntington has also been flexible and accommodating in all areas and they are responsive and easy to work with.
