My experience with the emergency room on Jan 26, 2019 was far from following the needed this to be…read moredone in a maul attacked by my own dog left me wondering where the staff gets their license to practice. I went to the ER after my own dog vivcously attacked me with out me doing anything to him. If my sister wasn't home he would most definitely killed me. I had 7 gaping wounds on my left hand and arm. The hand had the most damage due to being about to see into the top of the hand to the tendons and bones. I knew it was extremely bad but thought that the correct protocol would be follow in dog attacks cases. Which is was not. Starting with when I was placed in the exam room and taking the towel off the hand and arm (I had to use a bath towel due to all the blood) I was asked could my move my fingers on my left hand which I could (but please stupid people you can move a broken hand, finger, I know this because I've experience broken bones and can still move the area, plus being in the medical field all my life I know this fact) so since I could move the fingers the staff thought there was no need for an x-ray. Big mistake because the second knuckle and tendon was destroyed. Second the nurse was told to was all my gaping wounds (chunks were taken out and fat tissue was hanging out) the stupid nurse only dabbed at the areas and never touch the hand. I know that I was in shock but I know for a fact what occur. If she had properly cleaned my hand I may have not ended up 3 days later admitted to the hospital for a bone infection and was in the hospital for a week. When I was admitted Jan 29, 2019 an x-ray was done and that was load and be hold my second knuckle was crushed, finger bone split down to the first knuckle on the middle finger and the tendon was ruptured. Also that was when pictures were taking of all my injuries which this should had been done when I went to the ER after the attack. So my advice if you go to this ER be aware of what goes on in your care. Document it and file a complaint with Tennessee Health Department. There are way to many short cuts the whole hospital does which is not safe for the patient or staff.

Gainesboro Medical Clinic- NP Mrs. Breanna Meadows…read more My wife and I are an elderly couple. We chose this clinic because it was close to our home. We had appointments with NP Meadows. First off, the floors were filthy, that should have been our first clue. This was our first visit there, and to say the least, we won't be going back there. She first checked our blood pressure, and both were high. She didn't address that abnormal symptom at all. All she was concerned about was a certain medication that we had been on for over 35 years, and with 7 different MD's. Said she would not prescribe those medications without passing multiple drug test. Scheduled us for 3 back to back appointments, for drug screening at 71 years old. DONE with NP Meadows. Seemed unconcerned about our high BP and health needs. Would not recommend this NP Meadows.

This is what a blocked salivary gland looks like. The stone is huge and can't pass. 2 years now…read moreI've been battling this and it's become worse. It's imperative that this is removed. It's pressing against my carotid artery, zero saliva production and extremely painful. Yesterday I went to my primary AGAIN because obviously it's infected AGAIN and I need antibiotics AGAIN. My primary sent another referral, listed as STAT. Called Upper Cumberland today to confirm and verify the referral only to be told that TENNCARE insurance holders have a waiting list til November........Sure wish someone called me 6 months ago when the first referral was sent, because I've called many times only to be told "We will get in touch and make an appointment"...... Disappointed is an understatement with how I'm feeling right now.

87 Yo grandmother was referred to Upper Cumberland ENT by PCP. Got a random text with appointment…read moredate and time from the ENT. Called the office and spoke to a very nice receptionist that actually moved the appointment up due to the pain. Got another call at the end of business day on Friday that the Monday morning appointment is cancelled because they don't treat "Jaw Pain" and that she needs to see her dentist. I explained that she has already saw her dentist and that this is not jaw pain related that it's in her neck and the rude lady explains that it's still TMJ related. It was very evident that they just didn't want the appointment. Regardless I just wanted to give a review due to the extremely rude/careless call that I got to cancel the appointment.

I physically went into the office and presented my card and asked if my insurance was in network and accepted. I was not told anything to the contrary, and was set up with a new patient appointment. I had the work done, the appointment went fine, although I felt like they were a bit "aggressive" in trying to upsell me (I've had two fillings in 45 years, and they told me I needed two more fillings and possibly sealants put on two other teeth). I paid what they told me was my portion according to my insurance on the day and assumed that was that. Fast forward five weeks later, and I get a text telling me I owe them an additional $100.03. I call the office and, SURPRISE! My insurance was not in network. Nothing about this was ever indicated to me. When I complained, explaining I had never been told that, the billing lady (Jessica) told me that she was the one who had made my appointment, and that she tried to wordsmith me by saying she told me they could "bill" my insurance but that it was my responsibility to know if they were in network or not. This is the only medical provider who has EVER been unwilling to disclose to me if they were in network when making the appointment or at the time of the visit. I will not be going back to this deceptive, dishonest, shady practice ever again.
