Received my degree in human service and psychology…read more I also completed all requirements for social worker licensing ... that included paying for the classes out of my pocket... attending 400 hours internship ( every day for over 3 months) again paying for it out of my pocket!!!!! I was told that I couldn't take the wi exam due to not following the order of classes... which I was told by Pdc upper Iowa site that it was ok to take these classes at this time! Academic counselor messed up big time with me... I was left to suck up my lost with a big .... "Oh well". I now have the education for a social worker position but nothing to back it because they didn't give me credit for taking them in a particular order.... They did keep my money!!!! I can't apply for social worker positions due to the handling of my situation! Thanks for nothing Peg and upper Iowa University!

For the amount of money I spend per class here, I would think it would be a better college. I am…read moregetting toward the end of my four-year degree, and there aren't any classes I can currently sign up for. That doesn't seem right?! I take online classes, and if both of their online classes aren't full (i.e. Accounting II has two online courses available to sign up for typically), they cancel one. This leaves some of us in a huge bind, and is incredibly frustrating. Also, they are a little too forgiving for students who miss multiple classes or consistently late.

They have a great online and night school program. Some of the professors are just there for a check and that's pretty aparent. The front office help... not a fan of. Keep detailed records of everything you do there. I ordered tickets online, and there was a lot of availability in up front rows. Basically, it's unheard of at Fargo dome. Here the closer up front rows are walking down to the front. The dome is circular but you need to walk up and down steps. The bathroom and concession lines were long and lacked variety. The chik Fila stand barely had a line. The UNI fans left early, and I went to row 1 behind the NDSU players.

It is a safe campus, and Cedar Falls is a safe college town. Parking can be a bit challenging during prime time hours, and the atmosphere is very supportive of the community. We had visited Coe College the previous summer. We really loved the school,atmosphere etc. So when all said and done we called the College when the other one fell through and asked if she could still come and he said yes. He pulled her file and told us she would have a full ride not including dorm. They made all the pieces fall into place. So a week later we took her down for move in day. She is super happy she switched schools. Coe College made her feel like she was family and she is now on the swim team as a freshman. I would recommend this College to any prospective student. They are so easy to deal with on the parents end. Everything happens for a reason and now I know where my daughter was meant to be.

Fabulous college! A first generation college student that had to pay my own way, I had an…read moreoutstanding education that has been foundational for my life and career. Met lifelong friends. My children also attended, loved it, and graduated with degrees in art/business and nursing (an incredible program partnered with Mayo Clinic). They both also have successful careers. Luther prepared us all well for life and work. There were plenty of opportunities to get involved in campus activities and music and the arts. We worked hard and that work paid off. Campus life and a robust small town downtown, all contributed to an excellent experience where both academic, social and community learning were able to take place. Luther has been one of the best experiences of my life.

Located in Southwest Wisconsin this campus has its strengths and draw backs as does every college and campus. The best part for me was that it was a great college to get in, get your degree, and get the h-izzz-eck out. Other highlights for me included: the ratio of more males to females on campus (due to the school of Engineering), the replacement of older buildings on campus (Farwell Boeble Hall), very affordable (especially if you can encounter in-state tuition fees), small classes, a generally really nice and helpful student body (something typical of the Midwest), and 2nd street - a street located off of Main St that has a decent number of college bars. Some dislikes are as follows: Not much diversity on campus (everyone looks like they walked out of a Sears catalog for the most part), since the mid 90's ( Men's Basketball - Bo Ryan era) they really haven't had much to brag about regarding athletics, and UWP is located in a small community that lacks things other than drinking to occupy free time. I commuted to school everyday - so another gripe I have is that it is common knowledge amongst students that they will never have a "snow day" / cancel school on campus due to weather because they last time they did the city sold out of kegs and several student were jumping off of high balconies into snow piles and broke limbs and whatnot. Over all UWP was good to me and I enjoyed my college experience!

A great university for a solid education and plenty of stuff to do…read more I went to UW-LAX for my undergraduate degree, and it was a really great four years of my life. The education was top notch and enjoyable. There's plenty of nightlife on 3rd street (if you're into that). Midnight donut runs to Mr. D's are a tradition. If you want, you can take a road trip over a weekend to the Mall of America for some shopping or to Madison for some some great parties. I'd highly recommend it if you're looking for a good public university in Wisconsin.

Beautiful campus with tons of green space and gorgeous buildings and facilities makes UWL extremely inviting and livable, especially when compared to other UW campuses. As with any university, you get what you put into your time as a college student. There are so many clubs and groups to join that you've really got no excuse to be a loner or a shut-in. Top notch academic programs and wonderful professors. I guess UWL has some good sports programs as well, but I went to school for school, not the sports. UWL is a wonderful option for higher education, located in a gorgeous, fun city. Although you generally have to wait a bit to enjoy 3rd Street. :) Yep, I still love my alma mater!
