There is no nurse at this school.The office staff haphazardly does the work of a nurse but are not medically trained. Worst teachers I have ever had the misfortune to deal with.Most are not certified or have masters.They are unhappy people who bring it to work with them and make a point to transfer that misery to the kids.Avoid this school.You will regret it.My children were very unhappy there. But it wasn't until my daughter actually started to attend COA Smithtown that's when we knew we made the right decision. Management is awesome Miss Kelly and Miss Amy manages the center very well. COA have a great and friendly staff. The teachers are awesome. My daughter teacher is Miss Michelle and she absolutely great. Her method of teaching and curriculum is outstanding. My daughter has learned so much since the beginning of school. Miss Michelle is definitely preparing her class for Kindergarten with out a doubt. Just knowing your child is in a safe environment while you are at work is every parents concern, being able to drop my daughter off knowing that she is in good hands put my heart at ease. I know she is being taken well care of, she is receiving nutritions meals and snacks through out the day, learning and having fun while doing it. I would highly recommend COA to anyone in the area looking for a Daycare/ Preschool. The hours are accommodating and they do not follow the public school calendar which is also a plus for me. COA emails you an electronic report when you sign your child out of what they learned and was feed and sends you photos of them throughout the day. They also have camera access. They treat the teachers so poorly that the turnover rate is more than they can handle, causing the rooms to be severely and illegally understaffed on a consistent basis. This means some children become left unattended for hours. This isn't a temporary problem, it is a repeating pattern showing a clear inability to manage the facility. Some of the teachers are lovely and do a great job of caring for the children. But the upper management is pure degeneracy and interferes with the teacher's abilities to do their job. It is a shame that a few people can cause such a downfall in the care that the facility provides the children. There is no shortage of childcare in the area, please look in a different direction if you are considering childcare.

The school is incredible. I will be sending all my children there after only one year of my son going. Class sizes are small, STEM is a major focus, teachers are qualified, and expectations are high.. both academically as well as conduct standpoint. Staff/Admin/Teachers are among some of the most caring and friendly you will meet. When taking a tour led by 8th grade students, I was blown away by the maturity, confidence and composure of these 12/13 year olds. This year, my family had the misfortune of dealing with the diagnosis of a serious illness that I received. When notified, the amount of support and love that my family received was incredible. They offered before/after care... they gave cell phone numbers etc... The community atmosphere there is incredible. All that said, its not for everyone. As mentioned above there are expectations, there is religion and morals, and if your children need to be reprimanded for poor behavior, then they will provide that as well. We have found that most other parents that have a hard time following the rules are the ones who seem to have the most "problems"... The doors open at a certain time for a reason. The children are let out a certain way, for a reason. They ask for certain snacks not to be sent to school for a reason... And it seems the parents who have to complain the loudest about these rules, rather than just accepting them as part of enrollment in this school, perhaps should consider a different school. We have found that being cooperative, following the rules and being personable has lead to a fantastic experience. In my business, if my clients are difficult to work with, they have a much different experience than those who are a pleasure to work with.

Both of my daughters have been in TRS for the nursery, pre-k and Kindergarten programs. They were received with kindness and warmth. In reference to the negative review, I am not too concerned about the front desk. My main concern is my kids safety. I would prefer there be a strict policy on admittance. Also, public school just as catholic schools are not babysitting services. There is a time that students are expected to be in school and released from school. On another note, The academics are by far high, the teachers are fantastic and the curriculum is rigorous. This is everything that embodies a dynamic school. The class size is small as they move up into elementary school and middle school. This is exactly why I choose Trinity Regional School. Truly, look no further if you and your family are looking into Catholic Education. You will not be unhappy.
