If I could rate UPS less than one star I would. Yesterday I received confirmation that the UPS driver had delivered my much anticipated and valuable package to my listed shipping address, which was the Fetch Package delivery company in Marietta. So I excitedly waited to receive notification the package had been assigned to my account and was ready for delivery to my home, but that confirmation never came. So I sent an enquiry to Fetch to find out where my package was, and it turned out UPS had delivered my package to the wrong address. Instead of Marietta 30067, the UPS driver delivered it to Roswell 30068, yet didn't even notice their mistake and even claimed they had delivered it correctly. The story gets worse though. Because I believed they delivered it as claimed, and waited for it to show up in my Fetch account, by the time I realized UPS's mistake the customer service representative said I was now outside their 24 hour retrieval window and refused to initiate the retrieval of my package. So they wouldn't even take responsibility for their driver's mistake and help me get my valuable package back. I explained about the Fetch waiting time and requested an exception to their 24 hour rule, but my request was repeatedly denied. The only avenue open to me at that point, even though the items are now impossible to replace because of their mistake, was to file a claim, but even that process is flawed and not consumer friendly. I had filled out all their fields of data until I got to the field that called for the phone number of the shipper. The problem was the shipper didn't list their phone number anywhere on their website, or on any easily accessible public materials like adverts or stories. But if I didn't fill out that field the UPS claim form is programmed that you cannot go any further with your claim without that data. Instead of that phone number being an optional data field, it was required, and non-completion stopped any further processing of the claim. Thankfully I remembered yahoo and hoped that the phone number might be listed under the shipper's head office information or their financial reports, and thankfully it was, so I was able to continue my claim. But what if I couldn't find that phone number? Not only would they have delivered my valuable package to the wrong address yet claimed they had delivered it correctly, they also refused to help me retrieve it and sent me a form that was exceptionally difficult to fill out, and could have resulted in me being unable to request compensation for their mistake. So I would have been without my items and without any compensation for them, and it was a lot of money. On top of that, their claims form doesn't allow you to add taxes or shipping costs, shipping that I paid for that ultimately ended up being delivered incorrectly by them. Why should I pay for that? There is no way to claim that back on their form as far as I could see. It was just the detail of the item, the number of items and the cost of each item, but no room to detail taxes and no mention of shipping costs. I don't understand how the UPS driver, with all their tracking equipment and gps systems available to them today, could not have realized they were in Roswell 30068 when they needed to be in Marietta 30067. Do they not double check their own actions and make sure the delivery address of where they are matches the shipping address? It clearly didn't happen in my case, and now I'm out of items that were very important to me and cannot be replaced because the shipper has sold out. I was so excited about receiving this valuable package too, I'm beside myself UPS has lost it. So for that reason I'd give them a minus 10 if I could, in the whole of this awful experience with them they haven't done one single thing to help me, yet it was their fault. All I can hope is the wrong recipient will be kind and report to UPS that they have a package that doesn't belong to them, and was incorrectly delivered to them, and the package will yet find its way to me. But most people these days assume any items can be replaced by the shipper, or the recipient will be refunded. But that's not always the case, those beloved items are now lost to me because the UPS driver didn't know the difference between 30067 and 30068, and replacing them is not an option. And because they said they had delivered it when they hadn't, I missed the retrieval window and UPS refused to help me when it was their mistake. read more

I love UPS. Let me tell you about our experience today. We had a package weighing probably 35# (perishable) dropped by FedEx at our gate, which is about 400' from our house. My 75 year old sister, who was alone there at the time and wanted to get the package out of the Florida heat, pulled a wagon down to get it. She was struggling to put the box in the wagon when up comes the UPS hero to save the day. He saw her struggling and asked if she needed help, then he offered to take the package to the porch for her, which he did. UPS always takes packages to the porch if the gate is open - FedEx drops them just inside the gate even if it is open. FedEx has misdelivered packages several times while I can't recall a single instance of a UPS driver having done so. I will always use BROWN if I have the option! read more

In fact, they LOST the package. They would not help me over the phone and insisted I file a claim. I filed a claim and they eventually located the package in California. The package was to be shipped from Ohio to Michigan. This delay caused me significant inconvenience and distress. This is very poor customer service! I will not use UPS again. read more

The Missing Package Level Detail (PLD) fee from UPS is a charge applied when a shipper doesn't provide electronic package information to UPS before the driver picks up the package. UPS customers should not bear the responsibility to running this function each day nor should they be assessed such an onerous penalty. "Missing PLD Fee" is $4.40 or $17.60 that was applied to 4 cartons on my latest bill. UPS is living in a bygone era where they had the monopoly on small package delivery and could award themselves a 5% annual raise, assess draconian late charges, "PLD Fees", and petty dimensional audits. Once again your driver left my package near the sidewalk where anyone could lift the gate latch and take the package. Some squatters are living in an abandoned house and they smoke crack three houses down. I know them personally and I know they steal. They are always trying to sell me something that has been stolen. I have given specific instructions to leave the packages at my front door. Dogs are not able to reach the front porch. There are only two little dogs inside the house. I do NOT want this delivery person to deliver any more packages to my house!!! I will be taking pictures from now on. Customer Service has been declining over the years. Today, I spent 40 mins being constantly transferred back to the main queue over and over again. Finally hung up and will be calling the rep that set up our business account. I worked in a call center for many years and know exactly what they are doing. It seems like the agents are all in outsourced centers and no one even tries to understand what you are asking. When I called the 1-888 number, the customer service rep had the audacity to lie to me saying that it will be delivered in five minutes. Ups's website for tracking sucks. The reason why I say that is because I have an order that's not a big order or heavy. I paid for next day delivery and the website gave me a delivery time of 10:30 in the morning. It is now almost 4:00 in the afternoon and now I'm being told that it's not even arrived in my area even though the website says that it is here and it's not going to be delivered till the next day. So there is no point in doing next Day delivery and pay the extra cost if it's not going to show up. I've had a crew waiting on standby to continue on with the project that my company is doing. I had a package to be delivered from Amazon. UPS is trying to say the flight was the problem but forgot to mention that they misplaced the package. Now my package is delayed by 3-4 days and it is all due to UPS handling. When I called to find out why, all I got was an "I'm sorry." No offer of compensation except to say I could APPLY for a refund but since there were no delivery charges, there is no refund. I found UPS to be uncaring and flippant. Billing issues and can not get a person to help. Rerouted to the billing department which is the same automated voice help as the 6 times I have called already. Last lady said she was transferring to the billing department and again got same recording. Two charges for the same thing and the original adjusted charge shouldn't have happened. Paid the deliver fee for them to deliver to the staples drop off location and received confirmation. Then I received an email claiming it was delivered to the staples location as requested. I shipped a package to my aunt a small package of love on July 20, 2023 from a local UPS store to Philadelphia, PA. Let's just say that after 8 address verifications, 3 googled-address verifications, speaking with countless representatives, 6 call-center managers, 4 local dispatch managers, and 2 escalation managers, the package was never delivered to my aunt in Philly! A delivery was attempted a couple of times that required my signature. I wasn't there as I have a job and work and they always attempted the delivery while I and most people work (whatever - that's not the complaint). I called UPS to see if they can just hold the package for me. They said yes for $7.99 they will hold the package for me for one extra week and I can pick it up at my local store which they provided the address for. I called them on September 13th, 2025 and they said starting Monday, September 15th, 2025 they will hold the package one (1) week until Monday, September 22nd, 2025 to pick up the items. They sent me a link to pay and I paid. I go today, September 19th, 2025 to pick up the items I was under the impression that they would be holding for me and the person I spoke to at the counter said the item was returned to sender 3 days ago. Now if I didn't pay extra money for this service, that would be understandable. However, I paid so wtf? I have the exact details written down on my notes that's dated and time stamped that says this. To make matters worse and what really led me to write this review is I called UPS to get a refund for the 7.99 for this service that they failed to provide and after dealing with the dreaded automated system that every customer has to find a way to bypass to speak to a human, I finally get "connected" to a human but wait there's more... I wasn't exactly connected with a human because there's a 40 minute wait. UPS WILL NOT talk to you if they can help it. I registed, loggged in and the website rejected my phone number saying it isnt legit. I did finally get to talk to a human and they said they can not contact the delivery person to tell them " No Signature Required". They said call the store I purchased my items from and change the "no signature" there with them. I did and the store manager said "IT WILL NOT DO ANY GOOD BUT THEY'LL INFORM UPS ANYWAY". I left notes on the doors saying " no signature required, put itemS in garage". UPS came, did not do as I asked, did not leave a note saying they were there but I got a text THAT I CAN NOT RESPOND TO Also, my neighbor has NO ADDRESS on his house and 1 out of every 7 or so deliveries goes to his address. I got screwed, I believe from Petaluma,ca UPS on McDowell. I shipped a $400 watch to Canada for $79. I asked would there be extra charges or issues and they said no. Then package was not delivered and held at customs (never got to person I shipped to), not knowing what to do she had to pay $300 to release it. Because of UPS I lost over $300 to release item + $79 UPS cost. They said they have no knowledge of anything Canada or customs will do, even though they are the one who signed a contract (ups bill) which I paid in good faith. They took my money and said bye. I then had to pay an extra $300 to get it the destination. So UPS did not deliver the item. This would be like hiring movers to move my home stuff then to park in my driveway and say you need to pay more because gas prices went up or something. Holding the items hostage. I signed a contract, got quoted a cost I expect delivery at that cost. Know knowing what happens is not an excuse its a way not to be help accountable and take my money. If I knew of the cost I would not have shipped it, I would have returned to the store and fins something else. But they wanted my money and customer protection and service is not important! Even if its true they could not possibly know then they should at least warn customers that shipping internationally can have unforeseen costs at customs. I then can accept that and move forward or not ship it. I think its like a fraud or scam from UPS to quote a price, smile and not care if I get extra costs!! I ordinarily don't write negative reviews, but my last two experiences with UPS just leave my no choice. It's not just the poor delivery service, but their customer service response during two successive transactions just leave me no choice. If you're going to pay for expedited shipping with UPS, just know that 1. They will not honor the claims they make in terms of delivery schedule, or even close, 2. They will not even consider a refund unless you paid for overnight shipping (or so they told me -- this, too, may be false), and 3. They will try to blame you if things go wrong. I run a business that imports gear from overseas but also buys from domestic supplies. I will be asking all my suppliers to ship my gear from anyone other than UPS moving forward. Here are the last two incidents. The first time this happened a few months ago, I needed an item for special event. I ordered the item from a retailer in North Carolina who asked if I wanted expedited shipping. Sure, I said, let's pay for two-day shipping. It was $60 or so, but it was worth it to me to get the item here in time for the event (which was in five days). It did not arrive on time. I asked if there was a possibility of a refund, but was refused. It's OK -- I understand that things happen. This past Wednesday, one of my staff learned he needed an item for a special event. I offered to order it for him. The retailer went to UPS, who offered to ship it in three days -- this was before noon on Wednesday. That's great, I said. I just need it by the time my staff member gets on a plane Tuesday. The UPS folks say it'll be there Friday or Monday at latest. You know where this is going, maybe. I get a notification on Friday saying "hey, your package has been delayed until Wednesday." Now, I would not have ordered this item at all if it couldn't be there in time, so now I'm out $300+ in shipping fees and gear. I call the UPS people, and they inform me that they won't do any kind of refund or credit (since I didn't pay for overnight shipping). I tell them that I'll be forced to write a negative review and not use them any more. They ask if I'm willing to speak with a supervisor. Sure, I say. I would not actually be writing this review if the supervisor had been cool. Instead, he called me and informed me that UPS actually didn't get the package until Friday (this is a lie) and that three-day shipping only includes business days (which was not something they said when I shipped it), and so it really wasn't actually delayed. "OK," I ask, "so why did I get an email saying 'Your package is delayed?'" He did not have an answer. If these folks had offered to refund the $100 or so I spent on shipping these last two packages -- or honestly, even if he hadn't tried to gaslight me -- you wouldn't be reading this review. My business spends roughly $10,000 on shipping each year. Zero of those dollars will be going to UPS ever again. read more

Not even worth 1 star!! So I had the worst experience with UPS. I had a large package to ship and I called the customer care number (which is charged money by every minute) for a simple pick up and it never arrived. I waited the whole day and then I recieved a call from them to fix a 2nd attempt at a pickup which (surprise) again didn't arrive the next day!!! At the end of the 2nd day I went to a drop-off point with the huge box to deliver at their automotive box and lo and behold, no compartments of large sizes available!! I recently ordered two items that were shipped by UPS - one from Home Depot and one from Amazon. I was in the process of closing on a house so I intentionally selected the delivery date for after the closing date (the next Monday). The deliveries were scheduled for the following Friday for the Amazon order and the following Saturday for the Home Depot order. On Monday, I got a notification from Home Depot that my order was being delivered early - the day after the notification. I called Home Depot and was referred to UPS but, because they were already closed (I found this out after being on hold for 37 minutes), I had to wait until the morning of the new delivery date to call them. I was told that I would have to pay an $11.99/per box (4 boxes total) "rescheduling" fee. I pointed out that I was not re-scheduling; I was only moving it back to my original delivery date. It didn't matter. I had to pay $48 to "re-schedule" my delivery. Then, THEY DELIVERED IT ANYWAY....TO A HOUSE I DIDN'T OWN YET. I had to call my realtor to make arrangements for the package. When I called UPS to complain, the only response I received was, "Don't worry, you'll get your $48 back automatically in 2-3 days." It certainly didn't take UPS 2-3 days to charge the fee, but more importantly, that wasn't the point. I explained what they had done wrong and how it had inconvenienced me but they didn't care. Then, the next day, I received a notification from Amazon that my other UPS package was being delivered early - the following day. I again tried to call and was again placed on hold for over 30 minutes. I also tried to log in and make the change but their website wouldn't let me and I tried to contact someone by chat. The chat finally offered me a call back option, so I hung up the call, exited the chat, and waited for a call back. This was at approximately 9 pm. The call back came in at 3 a.m. (this was not a time zone issue). Needless to say, I missed the call. I called them again at 7 am and was again told I would have to pay a rescheduling fee. I told the agent I would not pay since I was not rescheduling; I was only changing the delivery date back to the date I had originally scheduled. He told me my only two options were to pay the fee or let the item be sent back to Amazon. I asked if there was someone who could waive the fee. He said yes. I asked to be transferred to that person. He said no. In the end, to avoid having another item wrongly delivered, I paid the fee. Then, THEY DELIVERED IT ANYWAY....AGAIN....TO A HOUSE I DIDN'T OWN YET.....AGAIN. This is absolutely unacceptable and the worst customer service I have experienced in a long time. It's also not my first go round with UPS. The last time I had a UPS order half of it was delivered to my home and the other half to the UPS store because the driver arbitrarily decided it was "undeliverable."
