There is always a quiche of the day (served with fruit or salad), and a soup of the day (it was quinoa on the day I was there . . .quite tasty!). The menu is simple- basically sandwiches with chips or fruit or salad. I had the BLT and it was the classic that it was meant to be. Others in my group had the grilled wrap which looked good or a basic ham sandwich. The decor is simple, wooden tables and chairs with brightly painted blue walls. This place is owned by a woman, and she and her staff go out of their way to make sure you have everything you need, be it refills on your sweet tea, or a warm up of your coffee. You can park right out front on Main street (don't you just love small towns?) and best of all? It's free! So if you find yourself in Amory- skip the chains and head to Deli 802 and pick up some of the local charm. Everyone knows each other so pretty soon you won't be a stranger either!

A very family friendly, casual restaurant with good staff and service, plenty of seating, plenty of parking and very accommodating for individuals, couples and small family groups including children (infant seats are available). A local favorite with a walk-up, outdoor service window and an indoor counter for service window where you place orders for indoor seating, pick up your drinks, and pay the cashier before seating yourself (at mostly 4-top tables which can be placed together for small groups). Once your order has been prepared, you will hear a call to come pick up your meal at that same counter. Servers come around to your table to refresh your tea or water and refills of other drinks are available at the counter. I have not found a better, small-town diner in the country with a more satisfying atmosphere than Pickle's Drive-In. I recommend it to you very highly.

Talbot House is a very cozy place and they are helping the community so I recommend everyone to support if you find yourself in Tupelo. I tried my salted chocolate chip cookie and I'm not sure what happened but it didn't taste fresh and it was over baked. The Winner was That Cookie Butter Cookie, it was freshly baked. The cookie was moist and topped with cheesecake, covered with caramel sauce and cookie crumbs. Yes, very sweet No, I couldn't eat the whole cookie in one setting. It think it was like $15 for meat, two veggies, and a dessert. C got the sphagetti with a side salad, roll, and black eyed peas. She had the shortcake for dessert. I had the pot roast with mashed potatoes & gravy, cream corn, with jalapeño cornbread. My dessert was a bread pudding. I don't do spaghetti so I didn't try C's. My pot roast was really good. I ate it all. Somehow I managed to not get any veggies in it though, that made me sad. Mashed potatoes were instant I would say, gravy too. What can you say about creamed corn? To add to the visual ratchetness, it's a mixture of white styrofoam, black "patterned" styrofoam, and black polypropylene served on cream colored plates. Now.
