The Kroger gas pump will steal your money. Be very careful I tried to fill up and the man told me…read morethe pump was broken after I had swiped my card and it wouldn't work. Later tried to cancel with the man and he said it was broken when I got my Kroger bill. They had billed me $55 for gas and one of his friends/customers had come up and stolen the $55. And filled up at my expense. Kroger's gas will cheat you.

First off, I love Kroger. I have always been a huge fan of Kroger especially Starkville Kroger. I…read morehave no idea what is going on with this location, but I am so very disappointed. Over the past three months, I have consistently experienced problems that make shopping here frustrating and unsatisfactory. * Pickup delays: On multiple occasions, my scheduled pickup orders have not been ready until the following day. This is a problem because I live an hour away! It is frustrating to make it half way to the store only to receive an automated text stating my order will not be ready until the next day! Gas is not cheap, and I am a poor teacher. I mean seriously, just turn off the pickup times once you reach your limit for that time slot! * Missing items: Once, I drove all the way home only to discover that 20 items were missing from my order. No one offered an apology or resolution beyond a simple refund. Yet again, I live an hour away. Customer service suggested "Oh it's sitting right here. Just come back and get it." They truly acted as if it were my fault that the items were left out and I was inconveniencing them. (My bad. I guess I should have counted each individual item as we loaded them into my trunk-yes. WE. I always get out and help! * Poor product quality: The fresh produce I receive is often moldy or spoiled, which is unacceptable. Not once. Not twice. But every single time I order strawberries they are covered in fuzzy mold. * Customer service: The pickup employees are frequently rude and unhelpful, which only adds to the frustration. I have been a loyal Kroger customer because of the convenience and quality I've come to expect. Unfortunately, this location is falling far below that standard. I am asking that Kroger address these issues promptly and take steps to improve the pickup service, product quality, and customer service at the Starkville store. I hope to continue shopping with Kroger, but unless these problems are resolved, I will be forced to take my business elsewhere.

Ate here over the spring and just getting to the review. I was reminded to review it due to the…read moreplate pic I took! It was pretty crowded as expected on a weekend so I decided to just sit at the bar. The place itself was clean, nice, and obviously well kept. Some of the other reviews are what sparked my interest, and I can honestly say that I'm glad I showed up. I told the bartender it was my first time in and told her I was looking for a steak. The one she suggested had a small sweet marinade to it. I'm not really a sweet steak guy but I went with it.... and man was it really good. Cooked to perfection (medium rare) and tasted super fresh. The Mac and cheese was also solid, as was the sweet tea. Now... the chicken noodle soup: I loved it. Big soup here and although this soup was not "brothy" at all, it was thick and creamy, so good. Overall, I can't wait to go back to Starkville if it's on the schedule next spring because if it is, I know where I'll be returning for a meal.

This was definitely a great surprise stop. This will be my new spot when visiting. Everyone's…read moredishes were done well, plenty of flavor and made fresh. Table had chicken strips & fries, salads, chicken soups, steak and rice, shrimp pasta, and burger meal. The chicken fingers were hand breaded in house and great with a nice honey mustard. The chicken soups are thick comfort food. Decent sized dishes. Everyone left full. Dessert was pecan crusted strawberry cheesecake. Slices I thought were a tad small but they tasted good. Sever was nice and attentive but forgetful. It was a busy evening though.

We stopped in for lunch while in town for MSU student orientation. This is a local well known…read moreestablishment and there were many locals inside. The parking can be interesting and the signage is very confusing because it says permit parking...we weren't sure if that was for patrons or not. When you enter the establishment, you are overwhelmed with signage asking you to make sure and close the door and various other signs. With that being said, we did not see the sign that said they were out of all drinks with the exception of tea. It would have been nice to be told that when we ordered a soft drink You order as soon as you walk in and then they bring the food to the table. This is a little overwhelming as you can not see the menu until your turn to place the order and with the line forming behind you, that can be stressful. The food is decent, but nothing spectacular. My son had the pulled pork sandwich with Mac n cheese and enjoyed it. My husband had the 2 piece catfish platter and while he enjoyed it, it wasn't the best he has ever had. He said he would probably try something else if we come back. I had the pulled pork grilled cheese with onion rings and I really enjoyed my meal. There was a good amount of pulled pork with some yummy pimento cheese and it was toasted perfectly. The onion rings had a nice light batter, but were served perfectly crisp. I would definitely order my meal again if we come back and the portion was so large that my husband and I thought we could definitely split it. Overall, not the best meal we had in Starkville, but we would come back if others wanted to give it a try.

I asked if the catfish was gluten free, because at of places with use corn flour. They couldn't give me an answer so I went with the blackened fish.
