They're going out of business because they're literally Say that they're not gonna get rid of any of the good teachers, but they literally fired the only good teacher there because it didn't fit their vibe and everyone hated them for it and they're just horrible in general. I had been a student of Mrs Bessler's in CBSA performances before. Being a student of hers is amazing. She taught me how to be firm and tough, set boundaries, how to be a kind person. The friends you make here will last a lifetime. These are some of the greatest moments I have ever experienced in my life. All the teachers make you feel seen and heard. Everyone here truly loves to dance and it's an amazing community to be a part of. Being in CBSA gave me a lot of opportunities to perform for the community. I got to do a lot of outreach performances which helped me with my showmanship and learning how to interact with the community around me. It also made me aware of many organizations in my community doing really good work. It also gave me the chance to perform more. Since it's my goal to perform in large spaces, being in CBSA gave me to opportunity to gain experience performing in big theatres. Working with Mrs Bessler again was amazing. I continued my dance training and refine my technique with Vaganova training and just be a better person overall.

They have merch such as journals, clothing, water bottles ballet shoes, and other items for sale in the front entry. The back area looks like the practice studio and they have one room in the front where they seated about 50 people to watch a free show of highlights from their current season. I love that they opened it to everyone and a few community groups of adults were attending at the time. What a sweet way to allow everyone to be able to enjoy ballet. My daughter loves ballet and it really doesn't take much to make her happy but both times she had a ballet teacher that suddenly disappeared and saddened her immensely. Speaking from a business standpoint, this ballet school is very poorly run and seems to have significant issues keeping teachers, running itself consistently, and being financially honest. In the time that we've gone here, these are the things I took away: 1- Financially fraudulent. We've had to fight to keep money in our pocket as faulty contracts and constant changes seem to give the director the impression she is entitled to money that is not hers to take or keep. This is a big one for me and honestly should be reported to the Better Business Bureau. 2- Staffing seems to be an issue. Both teachers that my daughter was attached to disappeared without warning and no explanation. This was devastating to my daughter both times and showed the lack of care or accountability this ballet studio has towards its students. Other students or Danielle, the director, took over the classes, which wasn't received well by the girls. Parents expressed the same sentiments and agreed that this was the main reason they were going elsewhere for their kids. 3- Lack of organization and communication: we participated in one production and it will be our last with San Antonio Ballet school. Along with many other parents, we were consistently frustrated with the lack of information and direction throughout the process. Shocked at the financial expectations and chaotic environment that spoke only of complete inexperience or dismissive attitudes. With young dancers, it's natural to be cautious and inquisitive about the process and the safety of your child. These questions were treated like they were idiotic and unnecessary which led many of us parents to share as much information in the hopes of helping each other. It was insane and the end result was that most parents were looking to new ballet studios or weren't participating in another production. There were few volunteers involved in the production that were family or friends of the director or parents of ballet students. Needless to say, some parents directly told me they were not participating because of previous bad experiences. This spoke again of a poorly run business. For me, this is all the reasons I need to seek ballet elsewhere. It seemed to me that while Danielle was an apt teacher, she should leave the actual running of the business to someone with more integrity and experience. Her biggest piece of clout also seems to be her belief that her studio is the most inclusive, while I think she has more integral problems to worry about.

The students have a number of teachers who are all highly technical and very motivating. They've all been professional dancers (or are currently with a professional ballet company). It's undeniable how much these teachers love what they do! They are such great mentors. The dancers are also so supportive of each other! It's amazing to be in an atmosphere where everyone really builds up those around them. They are definitely one big family! I love the fact that Premiere is involved in the community and thrives on outreach. The dancers get the privilege of performing at various venues while really making a positive impact. The company dancers also get the opportunity to attend YAGP, the world's largest international ballet/contemporary competition which offers incredible scholarships and training opportunities.

I was lucky to be selected for this in 2012 and followed up with an arts advocacy training in Washington DC in 2013. It is amazing that this small Westside non-profit can accomplish so much across the country. I've met amazing and inspiring people because of the NALAC network. They also offer various grants for organizations and artists. They also have a membership program in place for anyone that wishes to support their mission.

Maybe if hubby gets that promotion we'll switch this year. And there is no where for parents to sit. Brand new studio and there are no mom rooms, no benches, they just throw a bunch of chairs here and there. They really should have had done more research on ballet studios before they built out the new space. And if someone brings a friend or their mother, forget it, you the paying customer have no where to sit. All in all, if you can afford it, go to queindit ballet or performing arts in the villages of stone oak. If you are on a budget and just want your child in ballet, then this is ok.

I have never had a problem with the financial obligations or the quality of the lessons. Heck, they even break up the recital costumes and fees into 3 payments to make it easier for parents! It is important to know this is a burlesque show so the women are more natural and the show itself is more dynamic. It really is a lot of fun. We got a table, which is a little more than regular priced tickets, but I recommend it due to the seating. You can get bleacher type seats or have a little table to rest your drinks on and have some room. The reason a table is nice is you have the ability to go next door to the brewery and get a drink to enjoy while you're at the show. They also have an intermission to run over for a refill. The show was just a blast to go to and they have guests from different parts of the country to add a little variety. Truly a good time and the cast seems to enjoy what they do.
