My wife found the perfect souvenir for herself, an awesome fitted, hooded, sweatshirt with Seward Alaska printed in the back. She also found an interesting book made by Life Magazine about mysterious places and people in the world. This store is organized and clean and do not have the chaotic atmosphere of most thrift stores. We are definitely coming back next time we are in Alaska. I highly recommend this to everyone.

They had a lot of Russian stuff, but also some Alaskan stuff too. As for the Russian stuff, they had Soviet era hats and pins, propaganda posters, Russian lacquer boxes, Russian stacking dolls, and stuff like that. They also had carvings which I found interesting. I had a conversation with the buyer at the store and he was telling me with each passing year there are less native carvers and artists because elders are passing away. They have some incredible pieces of art in the store. For people that don't have large sums of money to invest in art pieces, they have some local pieces of jewelry, Alaska themed shirts and hats, stickers, mugs, magnets, books and cook books, etc. They have also have a whole aisle of toys for out-of-towners who are desperate to satisfy a whiny kiddo during a trip.
