The result has been frustration with basic cutting when cooking. Hubby researched knife sharpening in the area and found Barterelli. We called and they advised we could drop the knives off that day and they would be able to get to them. They sharpened our entire set (10 knives and a kitchen scissor) the same day and called us for pickup. While there the owner answered quite a few of our questions about how to maintain the sharpness, when to sharpen again, etc. Trust me I ask lots of questions lol. He was very patient and educational. When we returned home, Hubby had to try out the knives right away. He has been RAVING ever since about why we waited so long to do this. The cost was very reasonable for the final effect and now everyday ease of using our knives. We will be back much sooner than 8 yrs to sharpen these again! The store itself has many quality items. They do assist a lot of restaurants etc so you will see items for sale here that aren't necessarily something you would need in your home kitchen. That said, you can buy your next knife set and block here and some smaller kitchen accessories. They have BEAUTIFUL handmade wooden cutting boards here with the materials to take care of them as well.
