They delivered to us a nice custom sofa, loveseat and chair and a year or so later, I had a pair of tub chairs recovered in leather. Tracy was very helpful in delivering samples that would work for this difficult project. The chair is ruched by design and this company was able to deliver beautifully ruched leather chairs. There is no doubt he really cares about his customer's' satisfaction. I can't say enough good things about Urban Leather and the owner, Tracy Weeks. I have purchased leather couches/chairs from him 3 different times. I probably ask way more questions than most customers, and he was extremely patient and was happy to answer all of them. Plus, he has great ideas and offers valuable input. Tracy clearly wants his customers to be happy and he takes great pride in what Urban Leather has to offer. To be able to customize a couch or chair and adjust the arms, cushions, and other features - it's such an incredible bonus and the price you pay for a custom product will be way more reasonable at Urban Leather than the price you will need to pay for good quality designer furniture elsewhere. I purchased my second living room group from Urban Leather this spring and like my previous purchase, it is amazing! Tracy went out of his way to makes sure everything with my furniture was exactly what I wanted!. It's cool that they make there own furniture, which means all the styles are not the same regurgitated looks that are everywhere else. Prices are more than reasonable for what you get! Great looking and top notch quality. Do your self a favor and check out their beautiful showroom, the only problem you'll have is deciding which one to get... This is in response to Tracy, the owner's response. His response is the same behavior that we experienced back in 2007-2008. We still have a copy of the invoice for a custom sectional sofa that we wanted built by Urban Leather. The total cost was $6817.26 and the invoice/quote number was 4304. Not only did we leave a deposit of $3000.00, but also provided $300 worth of bamboo plywood which would have gone into the manufacture of the sectional. Given these details, if Tracy cannot "remember" the transaction, one can only wonder, how many similar transactions exist. After leaving the deposit and delivering the bamboo plywood, we did not receive any calls or updates from Tracy. We tried calling, but there was no answer. When we drove to the store, we found that the store had shut down. At this point, we just wanted our money back. Eventually, we found that this store opened in Sugarland. So we called the store in Sugarland and, not surprisingly, talked to Tracy again. As far as I recall, the first time we talked, he said he was busy and that he will call back. When we finally talked, he refused to refund our money saying that we did not call him or that we did not follow up on our order! We tried getting our money back over a long period - the last of which was sending a letter to their Sugarland location, back in 2010. Sadly, we could not get a dime back. Our only remaining option was to take legal action, which would have been more expensive than the money due to us. Now we noticed that Urban Leather has opened at a different location at 3311 Richmond. So, in the end, we did not get our furniture nor did we get our money. The reason we posted this review now is because there was no forum such as Yelp.com in the prior years. The only way to resolve this issue is to refund our money back as calling will only get us the runaround. read more

This is our second purchase at urban leather, we absolutely have only good feedback for Tracy Weeks and this business. We bought a large sectional back in April after looking at almost every furniture store in the Houston area. Tracy took the time to help us find the perfect leather for our couch. We went through over 300 pieces of leather and it was worth it! Our sectional was custom designed and Tracy educated us on every step or the design if our couch. The craftsmanship and quality of our sectional is top notch. It is made of solid wood and there is padding is thorough including the back of the couch. We get so many compliments about the comfort and the look of our couch. People who spend the weekend with us prefer out couch over the guest room. It is worth the visit and the wait to have a unique and custom piece of furniture that is locally made. We can't wait to get our ottoman in a few weeks! read more

I was swindled by this place! While designing my couch, I was told it would not scratch up and that I could rub away any blemish. That was a lie!!! We have to keep our couch covered and don't even want to sit on it because it's so fragile. We even bought the specific care cream and cloth the guy told me to use and it doesn't do anything! Total waste of $4000, I should've saved my money and gone to Haverty's to get a sturdy couch. I feel like a fool for letting this guy sell me such an expensive piece of crap. Not happy!!!!! Now they're closed so I can't even use my warranty??? This is ridiculous, my couch needs to be recovered with something better. read more

I have furnished two spaces with pieces from Urban Leather and I couldnt be more satisfied. Tracy is infinitely available, even answering the phone after business hours much to my suprise. He has made us 7 pieces and furnished two houses for good friends of ours and we have been spreading the word ever since. The furniture is now in its 6th year of service and even with neglect and abuse (3 year old toddler who eats on the couch) it looks fantastic and I dare say is more comfortable now then when it arrived. We have an unusual family room with a large glass window with a view of the lake. This room needed a custom made sectional that would be functional , comfortable and well suited for the available space with maximum seating capacity. We looked at many furniture stores including Cantoni, but were unable to find the right match. Someone at Cantoni told us to check out the Urban Leather on Richmond avenue. Tracy was most helpful to come by the house and measure the area . Although the couch ( Sectional ) took longer than promised to be made due to the leather being back ordered, the wait was most definitely worth it. Attention to detail and excellent craftsmanship is evident in the way the couch was made. The quality of leather and the way the couch turned out made us happy customers . Staff was rude when I asked details about the warranty. Kind of seemed like he was hiding something. Some of the furniture designs were good but the quality looked cheap up close. We bought a sectional over the summer. Great experience. Outstanding quality for the same price you would pay at typical furniture retailers. The huge advantage is that you can completely customize it to your taste and needs. We are tall, so we got deeper and higher seat cushions. We also asked for wide arm rests that are built to provide extra seating while entertaining. The sectional is very comfortable and we get tons of complements from our guests. We bought two leather sofas and a chair from Urban Leather back in 2013. Tracy was awesome to work with. He sat with us for hours to help us pick out exactly what would work for our needs. After a year or so the leather started cracking. I took it to him and he repaired a couple cushions but a little while later more areas started cracking. He found a different leather to match the color but it always bugged me because I could tell it was different. I contacted him again and he agreed to replace the leather on all three pieces. After my original order I went back and ordered a large ottoman. When we picked out the new leather for the replacement I told him I would pay to have the ottoman done to match the rest of the furniture but he told me he would do it for free to make up for the inconvenience. He had informed me that he got some bad leather and had to replace everyone's who ordered furniture with that particular leather. Every time I reached out to Tracy regarding a problem he tried to resolve it. Today, we got back all of our furniture and it looks amazing. We are so happy. We would definitely recommend Urban Leather. They are so affordable to get custom, one of a kind furniture. read more

First of all hats off to Tracy and crew for manufacturing quality products in good ole USA and yes this is coming from an immigrant himself. I never knew finding a quality leather sofa would be so easy until I stepped into his showroom. Earlier we had visited those high priced Italian leather showrooms where a couch costs as much as a used car $10k and up. On the other hand there were these faux leather shops selling cheap imported stuff that won't last that long. We basically looked around everywhere and couldn't find a quality all leather sofa or sectional within our price range. After placing order with Tracy, we received our order promptly on time and were more than happy with our custom designed sofa. The odor is a bit strong at the moment but we recon it will go away soon. We ordered a long 6 seater sofa and we absolutely loved the way it turned out. It is soft, relaxing and the cushions are pretty fluffy. Now I have a game room which I refuse to fill with any other sofa until I order one from Tracy. If only Tracy opens his shops in other states and start taking orders online, it will be a huge success. There is no other place in town which has something similar for the price Tracy is charging for customized sofa. It is truly one of a kind. I have friends and family in Dallas and Austin who are willing to drive down to Houston to buy from him after they saw our sofa I know for a fact that if Tracy starts exporting this stuff outside of US, it will be a huge success because everyone overseas appreciates quality products made in USA. We purchased a large leather sectional from Urban Leather. Tracy spent at least two hours helping us figure out what we like and incorporating that into a design. I was a bit apprehensive about buying a couch I had never seen or sat on, but the finished product is beautiful and comfortable. By far the worst experience I've ever had ordering furniture and I have bought and furnished 4 homes. The sofa came in a week later than promised (a big deal over a holiday) incorrectly made (wrong model) with a significant flaw on a cushion. I had to pay out of pocket to send it back. It returned closer to being correct (not exactly correct but I give up) with the cushion untouched. I've now been waiting over a month for that cushion. Although the floor manager is a terrific salesman, his customer service is atrocious. He made multiple excuses and tiptoed around trying to pass some blame onto me because he wrote the wrong model info on the order. When I called about the cushion, he had no recollection of the issue even though I spoke to him multiple times about it. Then he repeatedly forgot to follow up with the manufacturing warehouse. Bottom line -- the sofas in the showroom are fabulous. I was planning to order a matching chair and loveseat once I figured out how the sofa fit in the room. But I would never, ever recommend this establishment to anyone. read more
