When I asked if they could measure 4 more doors because this is a rental and I may need to replace them in the future, the guy on the phone refused saying "I realize you're trying to save 75 bucks". I explained that it would bring me back to them as a customer to re-order doors. He said we don't store that information, I said then give it to me and I'll call in with the specs. He continued to grumble and when I said, never mind, then he said we'll do it. He lied, the guy that came out to measure said I was specifically told by my boss not to measure any door that wasn't being purchased. Mind you it took him only 15 minutes to measure the existing 4 doors. Isn't 15 minutes worth making a customer happy so they return to you? Then there was no follow up, I called in the store a week later and the lady on the phone acted like the estimate had just been put together and that's why I didn't hear anything. She quoted an estimate that was way high when I asked for break down, she included the $75 measure fee that I already paid for (charged to my card by the way before anyone even called to set up a time to measure). Then they say they deliver, well avoid that if you can. I was told anytime on the day with a 15-minute notice. I called day of to ask if the door was ready and can you narrow that window so I can plan my day. Nope can't do that, doors are on the truck it might be this afternoon but then again might be late morning. Every encounter with numerous people was awful. I will not return to this business.

Walked in to 3 men sitting behind a counter and not greeted by any of them, mind you they were not on the phone or helping anyone else, it was just myself and my husband standing there. I had to ask where to go look for our materials. We were sent upstairs. After wondering around and few minutes, also not greeted by any of the 4 men sitting behind the counter, I had to ask who was available to help. None of them were doing anything except talking to one another. They looked at each other and finally after a strange pause a very put off young man asked what we wanted....how does this place stay in business?? As a customer I should not feel like I'm an inconvenience to someone who is getting paid to help me right? I'm so glad our contractor has to deal with this. We will never step foot in this business again. I will drive down the road and patronize another business. What a shame!!

I had a…read morebad experience with a different extended warranty company and wanted to simply read the FINE PRINT real deal HD extended warranty contract, not the nice looking OVERVIEWS that HD offers on the sites. I found and followed 3, yes 3 --- different methods to CLICK on a HD link to VIEW that contract, and.............. none did anything! Nothing. Hmmmmmmm So my next call was to Allstate themselves to inquire and request a copy emailed to me OR a working link to simply read it online. A nice gent got on the phone and basically said HE WAS NOT ALLOWED to send that out until I BOUGHT the warranty!! Wut? That's $150 for a freezer, a lot of money for an old Marine living on nothing and single. But I can't even READ the FINE PRINT real contract first so I don't have to go through cancelling and trying to get a refund? Does that sound like they have something to hide, to you? So.......... my next call was to my HD very close to me. I got a female asst mgr being later in the afternoon, and tell her what I'm looking for and does she have anything? She says NO, but says she'll ask the big boss the following day -- AND CALL ME BACK. I never even got the respect of a callback after spending many many thousands over the years at HD, living in an old house always needing repairs. And they are 6 blocks from me. My alert above is NOT about the Home Depot store itself as much as letting you know something may be lurking in their EXTENDED WARRANTY PROGRAM! They sure do NOT want you/me/us to read it. Why? I did by the way, think it was classless of the asst mgr to not call back, and my guess is she looked into nothing, hung up from our call and forgot about it. Why bother, she likely thought. It's just a customer and I get paid anyway. This is how business today is done most places. I miss the days when people cared about doing a good job.
