Urban Tree promptly came to our rescue after one of the bad storms this spring. When they came there was some confusion over what it was that they were there to do. I went off to call the manager (Chris) who had been so helpful. While I was off to the side, the three guys started walking back to their trucks. I assumed they were getting their equipment. Excellent all around. Edward arrived for the estimate within a couple of hours of my calling for one. He was extremely professional and courteous. The estimate was quite reasonable. When scheduling the work, I requested they perform the service well before the available slot they were suggesting due to an impending, major snowstorm where we wouldn't be able to park in our parking lot because of the broken branch requiring removal. Edward said they would be there the next day. They showed up first thing in the morning and the crew did excellent work. I highly recommend Urban Tree. Wow -- these guys are fantastic! I have a copse of unusually large choke cherry trees that needed heavy pruning -- Urban Tree did a careful, professional job removing dead wood and suckers, and never injured the tree house in the midst of the trees. They also took care of raising the canopy on my maple -- they exceeded all my expectations, and they were careful to communicate with me at each step of the process. Cleanup was impeccable. --Weaving the cherry picker through tight spaces and agreeing to avoid a few existing wood piles, etc., they only caused one minor problem: They marred one of the pieces of siding, but they will be returning next week to replace it. Will upgrade to 5 stars if they come as soon as they promised. -- Just as they promised, a guy was here this morning at 10 and removed the cracked piece of siding so he could match it up and then replace. He replaced it at 1:30 and bought an extra piece just in case we need it. Great job, polite, etc. And just as I promised, I upgraded to 5 stars and paid the bill. Highly recommended. read more

The crew did an outstanding job today trimming several trees. It was cold and very windy but that didn't hamper them a bit. Marvelous workers - not a minute wasted. I was particularly impressed with the thoroughness of their work and the cleanup was more than impressive. I had not anticipated the thorough raking, blowing and pickup. Had Urban remove ten trees for us one was touching our garage. The crew did an excellent job! They had obviously worked together for a while,they knew exactly what the next step was and did it. Just paid a bill for incomplete/unsatisfactory work. Although I have used Urban Tree in the past and was satisfied the service provided in June (tree climb trim portion only) was a joke. This is my first negative posting on this site but "CONSUMER BEWARE....if you are dissatisfied because the broken limbs you asked to be removed are still sadly hanging to bad. I sent an email w/photos and even called to dispute the bill to no avail never even received a courtesy call back. Once they leave your property they consider the job complete. I only paid the $75.14 balance so not to tarnish my excellent credit. read more

These guys are meticulous, professional & cleaned every trace of woodchips/cuttings after pruning an overgrown tree in a cramped residential space. They talked everything over with me before the saws started up and, prior to leaving, they ensured I was happy with the result. They worked fast & were extremely polite. Be very wary, they don't complete jobs! We had 2 pine trees taken down in May and the 6 ft trunk sections are still sitting in my yard almost 8 weeks later!! We finally cut 2 of them to burn because then never came back. They were also supposed to fix the holes that the trunks made in the ground and they haven't done that yet. The guys who cut them were very good (my kids liked watching them) but how can you get paid and not finish the job? I will add more stars if they ever come To finish the job. Urban came on the scene after I botched a tree. Very courteous, helpful, and didn't try to take advantage of the situation. With out a doubt, one of the most sneaky, unprofessional companies I have ever seen. My neighbor hired Urban Tree Service to do some work on her tree, which hung over my property. I was told a number of times by my neighbor as well as Urban Tree Service that my side of the tree would be trimmed back as well. When Urban arrived to do the work, they needed to use my property to gain access to all angles of the tree, which I granted. I had a concern about the heavy truck on my brick walk way, but after they explained the process of the matts they put down and told me if they caused any damage, they would pay for it , I also pointed out to them that 2 corners of my shed were already broken and asked them to be careful not to break worse. I said that was fine and they were welcome to do what they needed to do. They shook my hand and assured me that my side of the tree would be trimmed back as I was told a number of times it would. Unfortunately, I needed to leave. When I arrived home later that evening, I discovered that they had done the work on my neighbors side, but did not touch one limb, branch or twig on my side...in fact, they left dead dangling branches swinging over my shed. I walked over to my neighbors to find out if they needed to come back and why the branches I was promised would be trimmed, where not. I was told that Urban decided they were not going to touch my side of the tree because they were in fearful that i might sue them. I was told more lies and had words put into my mouth, which I never said. You could have a tree fall on my house and you couldn't pay me to have them do the work. To stand there, shake someones hand and lie directly to their face. My side was trimmed two days later. Burkes Tree Service came out with a crane and a crew and in about an hour had the limbs hanging over my property removed. If you are looking to have tree work done and done right at a great price, I would strongly recommend Burkes Tree Service. If you are looking to pay more and be jerked around...go with Urban. read more

I'm not a fan until I do more for me, but there was a few things I'm complaining about. Had to call their super over because they crew weren't sure while they were working, part of our fence was messed up, our phone line was accidentally cut, but overall you can trust them to cut down your trees. read more

They came right out when I called them, very nice man, but then I never heard from them again - even after calling 3 times over 2 months and twice being told "we may be able to get out there next week, we'll call you". The last time I called they said someone would call me back that day - never happened. I'm not sure they want any business. read more

I hired Urban Tree Service at the end of July, 2017. The soonest that they could come out was mid-September. I agreed, although I could not be present when they did the work. Although I thought I was clear, the work was NEVER done to my satisfaction. The work entailed cutting all trees/branches that hung over my yard and encumbered the fence surrounding the yard as well as remove two small/medium sized trees and stumps, trim a maple and tree near my drive way. I was charged $1420. When I got home after the work was done, I could not believe the mess left in the yard, a section of work that was not completed and the tree line in the back was never touched. I called and Ed was kind to send a crew back out. I tried to be home when the crew came back out, however as soon as I arrived the crew left. I paid the bill reluctantly. I still have trees that are very tall that hang over my yard that were never trimmed. I will never be able to trim those myself and hired Urban based on their expertise to take care of this and they did not come through. They only took care of the lower branches which I could have done myself and saved $1420. This was very expensive and I believe that the money spent did not accomplish the scope of work and that Urban Tree Service took advantage of the situation. Urban Tree Service removed two Pine trees in my yard the year before and stumps for $800. You would think for $1420 I would of had the tall trees in my back yard trimmed so that they didn't hang over my property. Very frustrating working with them!
