It is off of Pennsylvania Ave., and if you go over the bridge toward the courthouse you have gone too far! There is a small windy road that leads to the center. There are tennis courts a large field, and of course the community center. It is a nice size, with a small gym pool table, etc.. The staff were friendly and helpful. If your street sign has the Gaithersburg tree on it, you are likely within the official city limits. This makes a big difference in the annual fee you pay to be a member. Once you are a member, there are a number of very attractive benefits. Over 60? Enjoy a free lunch! Or pay what you can. Having difficulty getting to the center? Ask about transportation options -- some are free. There's frequent day trips to theatre, museums, restaurants etc that fill up quickly. There are classes for members such as fitness, watercolour painting, etc at the center. A local AARP chapter holds meetings at the center. The common rooms are used for showing movies, regular free activities such as bridge, poker, an art salon, or crocheting baby blankets for the local hospitals. There are a couple of pool tables for member and guests. It's a good place with a caring staff.

For the Voting portion, the Voting Team did a good job managing Social Distancing requirements in addition to the Voting guidelines. After I voted I took a small tour (as far as I was allowed) & saw how big the venue is. As with most Community Centers, theres a fitness component for cardio/weight lifting & a small scale basketball court. The Rec Center has plenty of space for special events & two sets of restrooms. Part of MoCo Department of Recreation & renamed in Jane's honor, a former Maryland Democratic Politician.
