Avoid Dr. Ledgerwood at Urology Associates. He double books appointments and unless you are okay waiting for an hour or more after your set appointment time, an appointment made first thing in the morning, then avoid Dr. Ledgerwood's practice. Apparently, he has too many patients and his bed side manner has suffered and gone below reasonable standards. Very disappointing and unacceptble. read more

Incredible practice. Long term care through a variety of issues has been and continues to be premium. Dr Eigner when he was there saved my life twice. Once at 230am when the hospital ER didnt have the equipment needed he came in when the ER called him in and took care of my emergency. I went for my yearly check up post prostate cancer treatment. Thinks have certainly changed since Dr. Eigner retired. I was told my PSA looked good and probably wouldn't go any lower. I waited for 55 minutes past my scheduled appointment time to hear what I was told...I already knew the results prior to the appointment and unlike previous yearly visits there was no prostate or testicle exam. I really have no idea why I had the appointment. Things have certainly changed since Dr. Eigner retired. read more

Do not go to this office. Completed all my paperwork on line. Had to take time off work for appointment. Appointment was at 1:30, walked through the door at 1:25. It took the 2 receptionists 15 min to help 2 people. I was called up gave my name and the receptionist told me I'm late and we had to reschedule. She made my fault she's sucks at her job. Extremely disappointed that my 93 year old father, long time patient of record, but who'd not visited for a few years because he was on hospice for 8 months, was finally able to get out to see his doctors. His appointment was scheduled at 3:30. He was denied a visit because we arrived at 3:16, only 14 minutes early. I picked him up from his living facility, and he was extra slow with his walker, and was clearly struggling to ambulate right there in front of the receptionists. We didn't make the full 20 minutes early as requested, so I apologized. I made the long sought appointment months ago when it seemed my father was well enough to get out and about. I confirmed the appointment and performed early online check-in early in the morning. We had great difficulty getting there, finding parking, and ensuring access for my frail father with a walker. They knew we were coming. Once he got seated, I checked him in, then 13 minutes ahead of his appointment. "I'll check if we can still see him," and off the receptionist went. "No, we'll have to reschedule." I was stunned. Who does this? This is horrible treatment. I made a written complaint and sent via FAX requesting an apology, nothing. I sent a certified letter which arrived yesterday asking for the same apology. Nothing. I would not recommend this office or Dr Bell to anyone under any circumstances. My experience was quite awful! I got ripped off and received nothing besides a rude attitude. I got an appointment scheduled for a procedure. All I was told to do is to show up at the scheduled time, with no other instructions, which was surprising I even double-checked on the phone and was told to show up on time because they are busy. When I came in for my appointment they gave me a questionary and then told me they can not do the procedure because I took some Advil 7 days ago. I was disappointed that I'll have to reschedule because I was not told about these directions before, but I was understanding... until they told me that I owe them $200 for the visit. When I asked if these will be used towards the payment for the procedure they said no, that is just for today's visit. They sent the bill... for $350(!), 2 months after the service with a due date to pay just 4 days after receiving the bill. When I tried to reach out to them to explain the situation and get the bill reduced all 3 staff members I talked to (billing department, customer service, and a supervisor) were rude and not helpful. read more

Absolutely do not go here! I was told to arrive for my appointment 30 minutes early, only to wait over an hour to be seen by the surgeon. From there, the whole experience seemed rushed and rude. My surgeon, Dr. Alger, blew out my vein while trying to administer medication and then told me it was not necessary for the procedure. I was made to pay for the procedure upfront, with a charge that was an estimated out-of-pocket expense after insurance coverage. This was a $780 charge. When I received my explanation of benefits back from my insurance, my out-of-pocket cost should have only been $36. I was told that overpayments go into a credit on people's accounts and are not automatically refunded. Had I not been diligent about my health coverage, I would have never seen a penny of my overpayment. read more

Had to wait for a month to get an appointment. Got there and I was in the room. They cancelled, rescheduled for the following week. I was understanding as I was told the doctor had an emergency surgery. The following week I was driving to the appointment and 20 minutes before appointment time, they cancel again! What can I say about Urology Associates of Denver? I can say that when faced with some pretty sure news, Dr Cowen provided a lot of hope. I had previously gone to a urologist in Fort Collins and he had told me that my wife and I would need to just adopt. Dr Cowen looked at my test results and started on getting my own Testosterone system working. Fertility issues with men are still a a somewhat new field and I would recommend Dr Cowen to anyone dealing with make factor infertility. read more

Dr Nina C is wonderful ! She did our 8yo son's surgery and pre/post op appointments. She is so friendly , easy to talk to, my son really liked her! Just want to say I had been going to U.A. for many years. My Urologist was Dr. Bell with whom I had no problem. This practice is not what it used to be. When I had a problem earlier this year I could not get in to see Dr. Bell or any other Urologist. The assisting staff did not propery diagnose my problem and it worsened as time went on and I wound up in an E.R. all night. Before I was in the E.R. I tried to get in to see someone for immediate help and none was available. I was told that after hours go to the E.R.! This practice never used to be like this. As you get older you sometimes need immdeiate help for excruiciatring pain or whatever. U.A. does not offer that help. I have moved on to another Urology Clinic and now get the help I need when I need it, and at any time night or day. I now have a new, caring Urologist I can contact most anytime and my uriniary issue was properly diagnosed and will be addressed very soon. read more

My father is 85 years old and a patient at this practice. He sees Dr Bell and the medical assistant is Jakob. They are kind and patient with him. He is having surgery in a few weeks. He asks the same questions each visit and they explain details like it was the first time he's every asked. Jakob couldn't be more kind to my Dad. Dories works at the front desk. She is patient too. My Dad is hard of hearing and she has to repeat herself. Again she does so with such grace and dignity. I can't say enough good things. I am confident they take good care of him. read more

Just moved into the area and thought I'd get with a Doctor because I occasionally have to take Flomax, although I'm getting off of it. The negative side effects overshadow the positive effects. I brought my old records with me, although the were not reviewed at that time. I had a 5 minute office visit that cost over $200 and that is with a good insurance policy. Based on the extremely short, casual meeting, the fee is out of proportion. It leads me to believe that they are more interested in profit than the patient. I understand fee structure but based on my actual visit, this is a joke. I wish I had read prior reviews before coming here. Update after response from company. My billing wasn't complicated or hard to understand. It was quite simple. It was just, way, way overpriced for the services. Over $150 just to start a new file. No more for me. read more

Our teenage son saw Dr. Galansky at the Lone Tree location. He was top notch. He explained detailed medical issues well and drew pictures for both of us to understand what was going on. He was able to quickly and accurately diagnose a condition that had been repeatedly misdiagnosed by Children's. Dr Galansky's expertise saved my son from having serious problems in his future. He was very detailed in his work and has a great surgical team out of Sky Ridge. His partnering anesthesiologist (Dr. Michael) was awesome. The PA, Lee, is smart, reliable and very helpful. Most importantly, my son's post-op recovery has been way better than I ever expected. There can be a long wait once you arrive for a scheduled appointment in the office in the afternoon. Dr. Galansky does surgeries in the AM and seems to get backed up throughout the day. That being said, I wouldn't think twice about it, as I really believe my son received the best care. And the fact that he may take a little longer with a little more attention doing a procedure-- that works for me. I read some reviews about him and this practice before taking my son here and after going through our experience, I felt it was important to weigh in. This had been a stressful medical situation for my son (and parents) but it is now resolved. The care we received with Dr. Galansky was one of the best medical experiences my family has ever had. read more

Dr. Nina Casanova is not recommended for bladder medical issues due to not listening to patients concerns, prescribing ineffective medication, not explaining all of the options for treatment. She should stick to pediatric care and not see adults. read more

Dr. Eigner is fantastic but his Nurse Megan is exasperating. It has taken us one month to get precerts required by our insurance through her just to get a prescription filled. She keeps telling us that it takes up to 72 hours for our insurance to approve the prescription but when we call our insurance they tell us she does a form online and its immediate it does not take 72 hours to approve so we have no idea why it takes Megan 72 hours to submit paperwork to our insurance. Another lab test was required by our insurance and we got the labwork done. Another week with no progress on the filling of the prescription so we called Megan who blamed the laboratory saying that they were down for a week. I called the laboratory directly and they said they were not down for a week and that Megan had not called them until the day after I called lab. The worst customer care ever. Its now a month and we still cannot get a simple prescription filled. No excuse for this. We need help!!! read more

What makes Dr. Eigner a five star Physician. There are many very good Doctors, in this great country of ours. Every once in a while; a patient many have the opportunity, to work with a shining star. This is the kind of Physicians; that even after the first five minutes in the exam room, you already are developing a strong sense of trust. Dr. Eigner listens to his patients, and does a wonderful job of giving you hope. His expertise is superb. I have worked with Dr. Eigner for several years after my PSA started to rise. We did a biopsy and confirmed the somewhat obvious. he called me and informed me in person of the results. Dr Eigner then gave me homework, to better understand prostate cancer. It was a lot of reading but well worth the time and effort. We then had a great interview to discuss our options. Thanks to his incredible incite; I not only felt that a cure was possible, but that he and all his wonderful staff would be a very large part of that cure. Cancer is the last place where you want to make a wrong decision. I have made the right choice and I know that I have many years of life in me. Do not go here if you are pregnant. Had a kidney stone and stent placed during pregnancy. Despite my insistence that something was off, and my questioning why my treatment was different than other people I knew that had gone through the same thing, they kept insisting everything was normal. Went for a second opinion and found out that the stent had completely calcified and my kidney was severely infected. Thankfully the new dr fixed me up, and saved me from permanent kidney damage. read more

Problems with billing dept. Two dates of service show that Urology Assoc charged my insurance company $40 for each visit, yet charged me $55 for each visit in the office. Net owed back to me $30 ($15 overpayment x 2 visits). Billing agreed in January 2020, said check is in the mail. Mid-April 2020, still no check, left voice mail for billing. Late-April 2020, still no check, left voice mail for billing. Months later received a check in an envelope with no paperwork explanation, in the amount of $24.29 from Urology Assoc, not the full $30 owed to me. Attempted to deposit in my bank & Urology Assoc's bank rejected the check & would not fulfill the payment. Still unresolved Sept 2020. What type of healthcare provider's billing dept issues a refund of improper amount, with no accounting explanation ... that won't even clear their bank? read more

I do not often write reviews because they seem to typically be focused on the negative and often from unreasonable individuals venting. But I have been so impressed with Dr. Sobel's professionalism I wanted to share my opinion based upon actual experience. I asked 6 different physicians in my neighborhood who should I use for a urologist, and 5 new of and recommended Dr. Sobel. I have had over 8 appoints/procedures and have found Dr. Sobel to be professional, compassionate and an educator. In today's world with Physician Assistants and over extend doctors, it is rare in my experiences for a doctor to come into the examining room and sit down and actually ask how am I doing and take the time to talk with and understand my concerns. Dr. Sobel then proceeded to explain in laymen's terms what is going on, my options and his recommendation. He answered all my questions (even when I asked them twice) in a manner that gave me comfort, confidence and understanding. Dr. Sobel's father was a physician, and I suspect these great traditional courtesies and genuine concern were handed down to him when medicine was not just dealing with insurance companies and Medicare, but was truly based upon getting to understand and help people. I have been a patient of Dr. Galansky's for about 4 years now. I am 25 years old and have chronic kidney stones :( yes horrible. Dr. Galansky's PA Lee Parsons is amazing. She has been such an asset in my continual battle passing over 20 small stones in each kidney over the past years. Their emergency on call Dr. line always calls you back within 30 minutes and go out of their way to make you feel as comfortable as you can in a time of extreme pain. Their nurses and PA's are extremely knowledgeable about the different methods and at home care for my situation. I highly recommend the Lone Tree office of Urology Associates. read more

I have no idea what kind of Doctor Nina Casanova is, she may be fantastic! But her staff at the front desk is unprofessional. After being put on hold for 10 minutes, I hung up and called back. I was put on hold again, once I got through they wanted to put me on hold again. I asked if I could leave my phone number and if they could call me once things slowed down. I got a long lecture on how busy the front desk was, how short handed they were and that there were 2 calls ahead of me and more calls coming in. We have had the WORST customer service ever with this office. We have been trying to get the costs of procedures we need to have done and the billing office can't tell us that and apparently doesn't know what they bill insurance. They keep telling us to contact our insurance, so we talk to the insurance and for the insurance company to tell us what our out of pocket will be they need to know the cost from the Dr.s office. We have called the Dr.'s office and no one will call us back. We have emailed the billing office and no one will respond to emails either. We called to make an appointment with Dr. Sobel who it turns out is on extended leave and they don't know when he will be back. The wouldn't make an appointment or offer to get us in with another doctor or even try and help us figure this out. Taking our business elsewhere. If your on a budget and need to know what your costs are going to be DON'T go to this office. Very poor patient care. read more

I have tried two consecutive days to reach them and after holding for more than 20 minutes each time I decided to write a review. On September 4, 2020, I had the pleasure of visiting the patient examination areas as a new patient with Dr. Galansky and his PA (Lee Parsons). True and caring professions! The post-care interaction and overall lack of follow-up communications with their nurse (LaDon) was not at all favorable or professional. After leaving multiple voicemail messages for LaDon (presumably because she's too busy to answer the calls herself), I finally called and informed her that I was considering leaving the practice--after just one visit--because of the inability to resolve a continuing issue of "insurance pre-approval for prescription med(s). During the one and ONLY returned call from LaDon, she informed me that I had left her only one message (which is wrong!) and that she was working with the insurance company, as quickly as possible. Left with the general impression, "Chill. I'll get to you, when I get to you" I've unfortunately left Dr. Galansky's care in search of another, who's nurse doesn't project to the patient the proverbial run-around. Sad, for such a good doctor/PA. read more
