Upon receiving the cards I didn't know what to do. A quick Google search showed me that the cards were first edition and some of the holograms were worth a bit of money. The cards looked to be in good shaped kept in a trapper keeper binder in plastic pages. I brought them in Torpedo and was blown away with the help I received. First I was told the cards could be worth upwards of $12,000! Second that I should get the cards graded and put into thick plastic cases instead of the notebook sleeves. My favorite card was a puffy marshmellowy creature named Clefable but that card isn't worth very much. The knowledge and information shared with me here really made my day. When an employee is so kind and passionate and knowing about what they are looking at is a dream come true. I have sent the cards into get graded and am awaiting a final apprasial. I hope to sell the cards to possibly buy my grandmother a new set of LaZyBoy recliner chairs. One for her and one for her pooch, Shadow :) I also bought a TMNT (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles) comic book. Loved this store could spend hours browsing. I will be back. Thank you Torpedo!

If you take a second and ask AI, this is a franchise. They're allowed to use Giuliano's name. They receive the bread from HQ. But the rest can be different. I went to the Gardena location and Karen running the counter was very defensive and said they aren't affiliated with the Torrance location. Apparently, she hasn't heard how franchises work. And then she claimed that the Toroedo at the Torrance location only uses American ham. What? Lol

I came in knowing that I was looking for San Antonio Wineries Marsala, and did find some San Antonio wines on the vast wall of wine, but I couldn't find the Marsala and asked at the counter if they carry "semi sweet Marsala," (there's a whole name thing with this, but you got to know, as I was educated by one of the other wine shops I had visited!). I was pointed to the cooking section and told they had two brands: Tony's and San Antonio. Without really knowing that I knew what I needed that I had been unable to find elsewhere, they met my goal of finding this very specific item. Meanwhile, though not my first visit, but a long time since my last, I couldn't help but notice how large the space is, and how much they have to offer. Only half of the space is a store. In the back, they have a full bakery of popular Italian treats. Bombolinos and cookies and even basque cheesecake! Then they have sandwiches and other homemade meals that you can purchase by the pound. And to top off the experience, you don't have to wait to get home - there's a fountain for beverages and you can eat your deliciousness in their large dining area. I personally will be back for a lunch visit, at some point. For now, I'm going to be using that Marsala wine to attempt duplication of a nearby restaurant's chicken Marsala recipe!

Good food and the workers are chill. Owner is great too…read more My experience today: I was the second person in when 4 people walked in at approximately 11:33 am. I work a couple minutes away so the drive there is quick which is perfect for my 30 minute lunch break. I tend to either order my food ahead of time so it can be ready and I just pick it up and go or I drive somewhere where I know it's quick and easy because they're not busy or because they have specials ready to pick up. Anyways, After we (the 4 people) walked in ....no one else came in, so it wasn't crazy with a line. I usually come in and get the 2 slice special. Wait is usually nonexistent since the slices are literally ready to put in a box. I was helped by another guy today (black beard, black shirt ) and felt there was no urgency from him during the " lunch hour". The pace was the same if there were 100 people or 1 of us. He took my order I sat down, he helped someone else then someone else then he shuffled some papers and got distracted by a little girl yelling across the street while waiting at the bus stop, then he headed to the back to do whatever and then came back out and answered the phone which is when I walked up and asked for a refund. I waited for a min and he noticed me then started getting the box ready for my slices and I told him to just give me a refund. He asked another guy to come over and he returned my funds back to my card and I kept the receipt and he apologized. I attached the receipt to show the time when I finally walked out 11:43 am 10 minutes after my order for two slices ready to go only a step away from the cashier. I never even got the soda cup to sip on while I waited. I may or may not return. If I do return and I see the gentleman in the black shirt that helped me today I'll just walk out. Most likely I won't be returning off this ONE experience. Do I recommend the food ? Yes Is the staff nice and attentive? Yes, Most of them Make what you want with this review but this was my experience today. I would've put this at a 4/5 review based of my past experiences but today made me drop it to 3/5. Hope this restaurant does well. I know it's hard for businesses to exist with the current economy which would make you think people should be thankful for their jobs and their income. Put a smile on, talk to the people coming in and put a little pep to your step when the lunch hour starts. Best of luck Tony's Italian delicatessen

Called in an order instead of ordering online because we wanted a half and half large pizza. Would have been helpful to be able to order half and half online because I just knew the fellow on the phone was going to screw up the order even after I repeated the order twice and he repeated it after me. Come on. I ordered a half Appetizer Special (pepperoni, crumbled sausage, salami, meatball, mushroom, black olive, bell peppers, onion) and half pepperoni, jalapeno, pineapple (our go-to).. What we got for our $34 pizza was half Appetizer Special and half pepperoni, crumbled sausage and jalapeno. Man, we were really craving our Pepperoni, jalapeno, pineapple. The toppings on the Appetizer Special were plentiful as was the sausage (we didn't order) on the other half. Probably the only reason I added a star. But the pizza really fell short and was nothing like we remembered. I am a pizza snob and while the Appetizer was definitely in the running for a good, solid pizza with a good, chewy and tasty crust in the past, that pizza, sadly, is long gone today. I even called to speak to a manager or the owner about the screwed up order and was told he would call me. He never did. We also ordered the Antipasto Salad which was decent. The marinated mushrooms and artichokes ARE still very good. I thought the Italian dressing was missing but it was shoved in the corner under a bunch of lettuce and after two helpings, we still didn't see it so I had mentioned that to the worker on the phone as well. I do hate how they do that at places to skimp out on adding more ingredients to the salad. Sadly, I wouldn't recommend The Appetizer any more for all of these reasons.

I have a witness who saw me bite into the sandwich, and the hair was wrapped inside the deli meat as it came out. By coincidence, I also have a home security camera that captured the moment. The hair did not come from my head--it had a blonde tone from end to end, unlike my own. You also stated that I received an item for free because it supposedly didn't ring up. That is simply incorrect. My card statement shows that I was charged for both items. I understand that you've been in business for 26 years, and that's commendable. However, every business can make a mistake. What surprised me most wasn't finding the hair--it was your decision to publicly accuse a customer of fabricating the experience instead of acknowledging that errors can happen. My review reflects exactly what happened. Rather than attacking my credibility and integrity a better response would have been to address the issue professionally and focus on making sure it doesn't happen again. Do better.
