    Boxes arrived busted.

    Check their rating on Better Business Bureau of North GA! This is the worst company every to do business. They gave me a reasonable quote and they work in conjunction with Social Moving Group until I scheduled the move. After all of my stuff was loaded on their truck, they advised that now I am charged for them walking from the elevator to my storage unit, tape, a box and several other ridiculous fees. Once my items were delivered, the photos speak for themselves. The delivery men who were outside contractors and had purchased my freight from US relocation/Social Moving group. They stated that the condition of the boxes and furniture was so bad they thought it was a free move. Nope, it was quoted at $1,070 but ended up $2,000 +. Please stay away from John, Alison, Ben Levi and all of them.

    I paid $500 for them to unpack. This is their attempt at unpacking.

    I am a single, professional woman who moved from Georgia to Texas. I hired this company for packing, moving and unpacking services. They provided me with an over-the-phone quote of $3800. On my moving day, the movers packed my things into the truck and then demanded that the fee be $5700 which included a rate increase of $1.00 per cubic foot. When I attempted to inquire about the increase, Ben, the owner responded to me harshly and threateningly. The moving process was difficult and ever changing with this company. The unpacking process was unbelievable--despite paying an extra $500 for these services. First of all, the movers continued to ask that I deliver them lunch (even though I was out of state), and later they demanded that I wire them a tip for unpacking. As for the quality of the unpacking, a large portion of boxes were still taped shut in my living room--no attempt to unpack had been made. In addition, unpacked items were not placed in the proper rooms (as promised), and the movers did an unacceptable job placing items respectfully (my jewelry was in the floor of my closet, hanging clothes were wadded up in baskets, the guest closet looked like an episode of "the Hoarders," etc.). Also, a 3 foot scratch now marks my living room hardwood floors. My house had been professionally cleaned prior to the movers but was covered in empty gatorade bottles, grass and dirt when they finished. Lastly, the movers left my house with the garage door up, all the doors unlocked and the front door ajar. I regret having an over-the-phone quote and for selecting this company for hire. The entire experience cost about $2000 more than expected and was entirely unprofessional.

    Where do I begin.. Needed my goods moved from Atlanta to New York. Got a call from John who seems like a pretty nice guy. I sent a rough idea of the stuff I had to move since they were in storage but I did add a few extra items on my inventory sheet just in case. I got my quote and I said that sounds good I will book you. Got my day that I wanted my goods delivered as well. Ladies and gentlemen. Oh boy. The movers arrived the day of pick up. There were two young guys who came in. They started packing up my stuff. First off all I had glasses and stuff in bins etc that needed to be wrapped. I saw one of the guys just putting stuff in bins without wrapping so I asked if he could go get wrapping paper. He said sure. 10 minutes he comes back we don't have wrapping paper will have to make a note and wrap it at the warehouse. I said ok. When they were done they handed me a paper which I was charged an extra $600 for. I understood that I had items that I did not mention in the inventory. I called Ben who was the guy in charge and told him I was not paying there is no way my stuff can come up to an extra $600. He went into detail about cubic square or whatever it's called. He agreed to weight the items and then I'll get my exact price. I was fine with that. Guess what? It sure was not an extra $600 extra, it was half the price. A week later which is suppose to be my deliver date, I call Ben to see what time the movers were expected to be here so I can plan out my day. The response was" your stuff is now being loaded on the truck". I was livid. And he went on saying how my paperwork should say that I should have my items 3 to 7 days from pick up. Ok you all picked up my items on a Saturday and I wanted it the following Saturday. He went on to say that my stuff should be here in the next 3 days I said ok. I have work so I can organize with the movers to let them know what time I get off. First off all the weekday was an inconvenience to me. Ben said "can not just leave work for an hour just to meet the movers and go back to work?" First off all I was already upset with my stuff not being here. Secondly, because of where I live in NY and having to take the LIRR to get home it would have been more than an hour. Day of delivery arrived. I paid my balance. Stuff is being unloaded. I noticed one of my tables that was wrapped at the warehouse was unwrapped and the legs looked like they had been ripped off. I start going through my stuff and noticed I was also missing stuff. I called Ben the next day. He said he was out the office to send him an email and he will get back to me. I did said an email. It has been 5 days and still no respond in regards to my missing items and broken items received. This is just ridiculous. I was reassured by John that I would have been taken care of and I wasn't. I encourage you no matter how good the price sounds to stay far away from this company as you possibly can.

    Ben, the owner, really helped me out. He did the job quickly and precisely. He treated my furniture with care.

    Avoid them. They will tell you anything to get the job but after that good luck reaching them. Worst moving company.

I even have a temperature controlled unit employee quit and left all the doors open and left all the heat and air off. I showed up no one was there and I had to call another store. They did nothing. And of course I gave them a good review when I showed up the first time when moving in to the storage unit three months later when the manager quit and left everything open and all the bugs came in yeah that's when I had a problem and it destroyed everything I owned! They have no respect for their customers and the owner had the audacity to say I gave them a five star when I first got there of course I gave him a five star because he gave us the first month for free and then the manager quit and left the doors open and turned off the air conditioner in the heat and left everything open And damaged all my property

She is always helpful and available when there is a question or issue. And the facility is well taken care of. Better than other chains that no longer have a person assigned to manage the site. Other storage companies are no longer having a 'person' on site, and they have gone downhill fast. We are very glad CubeSmart has Ms Angela. She has been right on top of things. And when I had my hands literally full, she immediately rushed to my aid. You don't see that kind of customer service anywhere anymore. CubeSmart is blessed to have had Ms McCoy there manning the facility for years. Very satisfied as a customer.

    This is clearly a case where "the new boss is n-o-t the same as the old boss..."…read more Whew, "CubeSmart" has barely been in this marketplace 'for a minute' and they did not waste any time in getting their entry on Yelp to shill their newly acquired property. But as a longtime customer of this facility, I have to tell you that their new policies will not offer any better 'value' as their "About This Business" ad-copy wants to tell you ... and 'service' remains to be seen ... The previous owner of this facility has sold out to this out of state corporation and CubeSmart has decided to discontinue several customer-friendly policies in regard to multi-month-payment discounts (except for a year's worth, they are quick to tell you) but by slashing these payment incentives, CubeSmart has effectively raised prices ... in the midst of this recession. WOW, WE ALL LOVE THAT ... thats the way to incentivize your customer base, CubeSmart. These "new discount" touted by CubeSmart are only for new customers or for those who want to prepay for an entire year. Previously there were discounts for pre-payment for 3 and 6 months as well. Also ... NOW ... The local phone number for this office rings in their out of state corporate office and not in actual facility that I am calling. Does that makes sense? If I just want to ask "what time do you close?" (and have to be transferred 2-3 times to get a simple question answered) I think many other customers other than myself will end up missing the former owners, which was StorGuard, their sign is still up as of this writing.

Showed us the unit, explained everything. We were in and out of there in no time. Very clean and secure facility.

    If you're looking for a business you can trust to protect your belongings, please look elsewhere…read more My sister had almost $50,000 worth of damage done of her stored items because of Cubesmart's negligence and failure to fix a damaged roof. A large portion of her belongings in the unit were damaged by water and are covered in mildew and black mold. Cubesmart has still not notified other renters about the water entry through the roof, nor have they confirmed with my sister whether they will do an official inspection and fix the roof. Despite having paid for two insurance plans, one being a plan offered via Cubesmart (the plan is with 3rd party provider) and the other through a separate personal property insurer, my sister only received a $2,000 check from Cubesmart's insurance provider. Her separate plan won't provide any coverage because the damage is seen as being preventable (by Cubesmart). My sister has spent the better half of the last year and a half in the hospital with her daughter fighting for her life, and bringing any kind of mold near her would be life-threatening (she has progressive lung disease). Replacing the items isn't an option on top of the massive hospital bills associated with her care. And guess whose responsibility it is to remove, sort, and dispose of the damaged and dangerous items. That's right, the renter. You'd think having two insurance policies covering your storage unit would be enough, but Cubesmart seems to only be interested in protecting themselves. And then there's the sentimental value of the damaged possessions, which obviously can't be quantified. If you care about the items being stored, find a business you can trust to store your things in a truly "climate controlled" environment. Cubesmart, your company has not seemed interested in making this right, and we are not fooled by virtue signaling in the Google/ Yelp replies.
