    Boxes arrived busted.

Check their rating on Better Business Bureau of North GA! This is the worst company every to do business. They gave me a reasonable quote and they work in conjunction with Social Moving Group until I scheduled the move. After all of my stuff was loaded on their truck, they advised that now I am charged for them walking from the elevator to my storage unit, tape, a box and several other ridiculous fees. Once my items were delivered, the photos speak for themselves. The delivery men who were outside contractors and had purchased my freight from US relocation/Social Moving group. They stated that the condition of the boxes and furniture was so bad they thought it was a free move. Nope, it was quoted at $1,070 but ended up $2,000 +. Please stay away from John, Alison, Ben Levi and all of them.

I paid $500 for them to unpack. This is their attempt at unpacking.

I am a single, professional woman who moved from Georgia to Texas. I hired this company for packing, moving and unpacking services. They provided me with an over-the-phone quote of $3800. On my moving day, the movers packed my things into the truck and then demanded that the fee be $5700 which included a rate increase of $1.00 per cubic foot. When I attempted to inquire about the increase, Ben, the owner responded to me harshly and threateningly. The moving process was difficult and ever changing with this company. The unpacking process was unbelievable--despite paying an extra $500 for these services. First of all, the movers continued to ask that I deliver them lunch (even though I was out of state), and later they demanded that I wire them a tip for unpacking. As for the quality of the unpacking, a large portion of boxes were still taped shut in my living room--no attempt to unpack had been made. In addition, unpacked items were not placed in the proper rooms (as promised), and the movers did an unacceptable job placing items respectfully (my jewelry was in the floor of my closet, hanging clothes were wadded up in baskets, the guest closet looked like an episode of "the Hoarders," etc.). Also, a 3 foot scratch now marks my living room hardwood floors. My house had been professionally cleaned prior to the movers but was covered in empty gatorade bottles, grass and dirt when they finished. Lastly, the movers left my house with the garage door up, all the doors unlocked and the front door ajar. I regret having an over-the-phone quote and for selecting this company for hire. The entire experience cost about $2000 more than expected and was entirely unprofessional.

Glasses in bin was never wrapped and some broke.

Where do I begin.. Needed my goods moved from Atlanta to New York. Got a call from John who seems like a pretty nice guy. I sent a rough idea of the stuff I had to move since they were in storage but I did add a few extra items on my inventory sheet just in case. I got my quote and I said that sounds good I will book you. Got my day that I wanted my goods delivered as well. Ladies and gentlemen. Oh boy. The movers arrived the day of pick up. There were two young guys who came in. They started packing up my stuff. First off all I had glasses and stuff in bins etc that needed to be wrapped. I saw one of the guys just putting stuff in bins without wrapping so I asked if he could go get wrapping paper. He said sure. 10 minutes he comes back we don't have wrapping paper will have to make a note and wrap it at the warehouse. I said ok. When they were done they handed me a paper which I was charged an extra $600 for. I understood that I had items that I did not mention in the inventory. I called Ben who was the guy in charge and told him I was not paying there is no way my stuff can come up to an extra $600. He went into detail about cubic square or whatever it's called. He agreed to weight the items and then I'll get my exact price. I was fine with that. Guess what? It sure was not an extra $600 extra, it was half the price. A week later which is suppose to be my deliver date, I call Ben to see what time the movers were expected to be here so I can plan out my day. The response was" your stuff is now being loaded on the truck". I was livid. And he went on saying how my paperwork should say that I should have my items 3 to 7 days from pick up. Ok you all picked up my items on a Saturday and I wanted it the following Saturday. He went on to say that my stuff should be here in the next 3 days I said ok. I have work so I can organize with the movers to let them know what time I get off. First off all the weekday was an inconvenience to me. Ben said "can not just leave work for an hour just to meet the movers and go back to work?" First off all I was already upset with my stuff not being here. Secondly, because of where I live in NY and having to take the LIRR to get home it would have been more than an hour. Day of delivery arrived. I paid my balance. Stuff is being unloaded. I noticed one of my tables that was wrapped at the warehouse was unwrapped and the legs looked like they had been ripped off. I start going through my stuff and noticed I was also missing stuff. I called Ben the next day. He said he was out the office to send him an email and he will get back to me. I did said an email. It has been 5 days and still no respond in regards to my missing items and broken items received. This is just ridiculous. I was reassured by John that I would have been taken care of and I wasn't. I encourage you no matter how good the price sounds to stay far away from this company as you possibly can.

Avoid This Company at All Costs They Allow Employees to Defecate in Your Home with NO Repercussions…read moreTHERE WAS NO TOILET PAPER IN THE BATHROOM. NO soap. I recently hired Top Dog for a move -- and it turned out to be the worst decision I've made all year. During the move, one of the movers entered my private bathroom without asking permission. He remained in there for several minutes, during which I was still being charged for his time. This was not only unprofessional but also a clear violation of boundaries. When I called the company to address the matter, the response was dismissive and unprofessional. The representative told me he "didn't see a problem" and compared the situation to letting a mover use his own bathroom. I explained that my bathroom had been professionally cleaned the day before -- and I had not even used it myself yet. I requested they arrange for it to be cleaned again, but my concern was brushed off. I was told they would "call back after speaking with the worker," but I never received any follow-up. No apology. No offer of resolution. No discount. Nothing. This company demonstrated a complete lack of respect for its customers and their property. Based on my experience, I strongly advise avoiding Top Dog for any moving needs.

He liked how they conducted business over the phone, sent him a quote via email and were very thorough explaining what to expect the day of our move. Our friends used them and had a great experience which was another reason for us using Top Dog. The price quoted was definitely excellent and better than the other moving company. They arrived on time to our storage unit and made sure to call giving us heads up when they were on their way. We had four strong young men who were very kind, friendly (definitely southern hospitality) and professional. They worked hard for us. Also they moved our things with great care and I can say nothing broke. Thank you very much...Kimon, Logan, Justin and Christian for ALL your hard work we truly appreciated it!! . AVOID USING THIS COMPANY…read more I have moved several times over the years. This was my first time using College Hunks. It will also be my last time. Everything was smooth for setting up the move. The person (Scott) who came and gave the quote was professional and it was a positive experience. The day of the move, we had 3 movers show up (we were quoted for 2). There was a strong weed smell around them upon arrival. One of the movers was in socks and slide sandals, which isn't proper mover attire. We had everything boxed up and furniture ready to move (beds broken down, things staged for easy moving). They said in multiple occasions this would go quicker than what we were quoted. However, the time dragged on as one person was left to handle things in the apartment. Not sure if the others were loading the truck or what exactly they were doing during this time. When the items were moved out - we were told they would take their 30min break and meet us at the new building (0.5 miles away). They would let us know when everything was loaded and the 30mins started. This never occurred. After getting to the new building and waiting over 30mins, I called the number I had and was informed of the time they left the old building for their break, which 45mins had already passed. I explained I only had the loading dock and service elevator for a set amount of time and had to be finished within that window. They eventually arrived at the new building, again there was a strong smell of weed. They quickly began unloading using the carts provided by the new building. They also assured me they how quickly unloading goes and they would finish within the window. We explained the building clearly stated we could be charged a fine for going past the reservation window. As we neared the end of the reservation my partner went to talk to Concierge since the unloading had not finish but was nearing the end. Thankfully the concierge assured us we would not be fined since they were almost done. Once they told us everything was unloaded, we realized our outdoor table and 1 lamp (from a set) were missing. They told us the table was left at the old building by mistake but that we should be able to go back and get it on our own. They did not have us do a walkthrough of the empty truck, which is normally standard procedure. I have no way of knowing if these items were broken or stolen. But overall it is gross negligence on their part. The move went longer than we were quoted, despite having 3 movers instead of 2. We were told we were only being charged for 2. We later realized we were charged for mattress bags, when we provided those. That charge was not mentioned to us when the lead mover was going over everything. Additionally, the carts supplied by the building were just left in the hallway on our floor by the elevators and not returned to the loading dock like they should have. We had to do that ourselves or risk getting fined by the building. I raised these concerns with the point of contact I had (DJ) and was told to follow the claims process in the paperwork I received. He also made a point of saying "I hope you don't hate us, at least not me." That is just a weird statement to make - I had a terrible experience and would never recommend this company to anyone. But to be concerned about whether I "hate" you instead of trying to correct the situation is astounding. I sent everything via the claims email. I received no response and after a few days had to send a follow up to ensure it was received. I had to resend all the photos of the missing items and then was told I would only get $0.60 per pound of lost item. That was the default reimbursement. Since we moved 0.5 miles the idea/risk of things being lost or broken was minimal. Additionally, the table was estimated at 52lbs and the lamp at 15lbs so the fact that this moving company lost around 67lbs of items across 0.5miles should make anyone question how well they can handle any distance of a move.
