I checked out several places that sell hearing aids and felt a doctor was in my best interests. The hearing aid stores feature no charge tests. Nothing is "free" for a reason. You go to a dentist, he/she charges, you go to an eye doctor for an exam, he/she charges and Dr. Staverman is not a salesperson, but a real professional. The exam took over an hour; thorough and complete without any doubts. Fully explaining my hearing loss and giving me valuable insight into hearing vs. listening. We made an appointment for a short time later so that my results could be matched with my hearing aid needs. I followed up and went to the 2nd meeting and was fitted with a proper hearing aid. WOW, what a surprise: hearing and listening! Sent home with follow-up in 30 days! Upon revisiting the Doctor, I knew that the aids were correct and life was better. Only after complete satisfaction was I billed; what a difference! I wake up each morning and look forward to a day of hearing! I have several friends with hearing aids and when I relate my experience they are amazed with most not wearing their aids due to discomfort. Not so with my experience.
