I had an appointment and they asked me to come back the next day because they were running way behind, but I couldn't because I was leaving early the next morning to go to Florida. They actually stayed past their closing time just to get my nails done, which I very much appreciated. This is my favorite place to get my nails done. Worse place ever! After continuously hitting the side of my fingers with the dremel causing me to bleed nothing was done or said! The nail tech left the skin around my nails that he had torn up which looked worse then when I came in! I have never in my life had acrylic this thick piled up on my nails. My nails were also glued and sealed with acrylic to my skin underneath my nails. I came in for a simple fill with gel polish and left with torn up skin around my fingers, nails sealed to my skin and it still looks like I need a fill because the acrylic was not even placed all the way in the nail bed. Save your money and save yourself the pain go anywhere else! read more

I am beyond confused at the bad reviews. I have been going to this place for 2 years now. The place is clean, the staff are so sweet, they do an excellent job, the polish lasts every bit of 2 weeks and longer and never one time have they made me bleed. I get manicures, dip waxing, and pedicures regularly. It's the ONLY place I'll go for my nails. I have been to every nail salon in this area and was never as satisfied with my nails as I consistently am at US Nails. It's a great salon! read more

My sister thought this place was great previously so I went and tried it with her on a Friday night...there weren't that many customers in there and seemed to have plenty of staff yet we waited almost 45 mins to be worked on. I got a pedicure and I will have to say the staff are nice but the pedicure was much to be desired. I liked the massage (I got the deluxe) but the nail end result was bad. I noticed she didn't do some of the sides of my toes and then later on after they were well dried my sister slightly tapped my toe with her chair and half of my nail polish on one toe came off. I would have normally had asked them to fix it but by that point the place was crazy busy with people after us and since she didn't even notice she didn't complete 1/2 the sides of my toes I wasn't going to ask. We were there 2.5 hours for 2 pedicures and 1 manicure! That's just unacceptable and we missed a good chunk of our ladies' night because of it. And the price was $35 for a deluxe...I wouldn't even say that was worth $20. read more

So I'm working in the Alton, Illinois area for 3 or 4 weeks. My work schedule is pretty intense while I'm here, so when I get some free time, I like to do something for me (jog, shop, relax...). The other day I decided to go get a mani/pedi in my free time. I searched the area, and this place popped up. It's pretty close to my hotel, so I thought I'd give it a try. I LOVE pedicures! My favorite place back home is big on the massage aspect, which I love. I guess I've been spoiled. In any case, this pedicure experience didn't live up to my standards. It wasn't bad...it was just very basic (especially for the price). I feel like $20 should get me more than a trim/file with some lotion applied to my legs/feet at the end (notice, "applied"...not "massaged" or even "rubbed"). I pretty much could've given myself the same pedicure for a lot less money. The manicure situation was just awful. I asked for a gel manicure. The woman didn't act like that was something different or new for her, but it must have been. She gobbed the gel polish layers on so thick that (after 2 or 3 layers) the polish began to wrinkle and sag in the UV dryer. When she saw what she'd done, she had to call a male nail technician over, and, after much Vietnamese chatter, he totally redid my nails for me. They turned out ok, but it was a hassle. And luckily I wasn't in a hurry! I ended up staying at this place for 2.5 hours! I guess the options are limited in Alton, which I totally understand. So I'm not going to say not to go to this place. The finished product wasn't bad, but the saga that got me there seemed to drag on forever. If your nails can wait until the weekend, I say go into St. Louis instead. If you've just got to get 'em done now (!), then this place is an ok option. Just don't expect a life-altering experience. Oh, and p.s.--No, I don't want designs on my toes/nails! They really try to cram this one down your throat! read more

Love the ladies Trinn is the bomb. My daughter is challenged and they always take good care of her when she goes without me. I havent been in awhile and last time she was there they asked how i was doing. I like that they know who we are and who we belong with. I have a cpl of friends that go there also. I've been searching for a salon ever since I moved to Alton. Today I returned to US Nails since the last time went okay. I got a mani and pedi. And paid for everything before the girl painted my nails so I wouldn't have to get into my purse after she did them. I wish I hadn't left a tip. Or that I hadn't gone here! After being in the salon for an hour and a half, I realized the polish was drying with several bubbles in it. And I bent down to look at my toes, which also appeared uneven and bubbly. I asked if she could just take the polish off and refund my credit card. Even a partial refund would've been fine. But she refused and insisted on repainting my toes and fingernails. So now another color and two hours have gone by... And I notice more bubbles as they are drying. Seriously? I left to go home and repaint then myself. The whole point of going to a salon and PAYING for these services is to have it done well. Better than a DIY job. But today I realized I can do my own nails better than this salon can. And my polishes at home (mostly OPI) are probably better than the ones here! It was hard to find a polish at this place that didn't look old, separated, and uneven. Don't waste your money or time! Do your nails yourself or visit a salon that actually cares about how their work turns out. read more

My daughters wedding was this past weekend and there was 8 of us for a 3pm appt on Friday, her rehearsal was set for 6pm, and the bride did not get done with her nails until 645pm. All the girls that got acrylic nails were not happy with their nails at all stated they were too thick they made their fingers bleed, and was not sympathetic at all.They continued to take walk ins all around us. One of the girls getting a pedicure sat in the chair with no water in her tub for 45 minutes before water was even put in it. This was the most disappointing experience for my daughters wedding party. We paid entirely too much money to have had this experience!!!! read more

They are always super friendly and always do a great job on my manicure and pedicures! Worst one around. Don't waste your money. I had crome nails done and they didn't even make it through one day w/o chipping. They cost an extra $15 on top of the normal price. Then I was told that the lashes I had done would stay on 2 weeks. Nope, they came off that night. Noticed they put them on with wig glue which is against state regulations. I came back today to get them fixed and they wanted me to wait an hr. Horrible customer service and do not recommend unless you go to the older lady with short hair to get your pedicure; she is awesome. read more
